Roll call. Mrs. Clark. >> Trusty Burlesen >> here. >> Trusty Black >> here. >> Trustee D >> here. >> Trustee Lucine >> here. >> Trusty Moran >> here. >> Trustee Neil >> here. >> Trustee Sandy Wilson >> here. >> Trustee Sarah Wilson >> here. >> Please stand for the pledge of allegiance. Welcome to the March 30th Boseman School District board meeting. Thank you for joining us. Public comment will be taken throughout the meeting on agenda and non-aggenda items. During public comment, no member of the public will be allowed to comment on contested cases, other adjudicative proceedings or personnel matters. The public portion of this board meeting are being recorded in accordance with district policy 1420 and section 2-3-214 MCA. By remaining in this meeting, all participants and attendees acknowledge they may appear on the on

the recording which will be placed on the school district's website for a minimum of one year from today. Further instructions about participating will be pro provided throughout the meeting. Before we engage in the business of the board, I would like to share the core purpose of the Boseman School District which can be found on the back of our name plates as well as to my left. It reads, "Boseman schools exist to ensure high level learning for all students." All right. Well, welcome. Uh, we'll get right into it. We are going to recognitions and awards. And I think I'll start with uh Mr. Ader. Thank you for having us here tonight. I'll introduce uh Coach Claxton and then uh Coach Cummings. Coach Claxton will come up first and talk about his all-state athlete. I believe this

is the fifth year in a row uh the Gallatton High Raptor boys basketball team has qualified for state. We'll he'll speak on that. Uh our girls basketball team uh Taylor will talk about that and uh two consecutive state championships. So we'll go ahead and get going. Michael, come on up. Thank you, Mark. and thank you board of trustees for the invitation to be here tonight. Um it is uh it's a it's quite the honor and a privilege to introduce this young man that's sitting to the left of me, Aiden Brown. Um Aiden has he's grown and he's come quite a long way since uh the days walking into Gallatin as a ninth grader. Um and you know I just want to tell you a little bit about his journey. you know, Aiden this season particularly,

he really overcame a lot of obstacles and challenges both on and off the court. Um, he sustained a severe near knee injury in I can't remember what week it was of of conference play, but it was January 17th against Billing Senior. Um, and then he he played through that knee injury and he tried to give us everything he had. And then, uh, two weeks later against CMR, he he reinjured it. And so that put him out uh for four weeks during or not not four, two weeks, two weeks, four games during the season. And he bounced back with um with with grit, with uh with resilience and he really gave everything he had for for our team this season. Uh not only that, he's just he's just really matured as a young man, you know,

to to witness it, to be next to him and see how he's grown through the four years of high school to becoming a a very responsible young man that had a job, working a job in the offseason and during the summer and taking on responsibilities, you know, at home and outside of school with his younger brothers. Um he's he's he's mature beyond his years and it's just been a a privilege to to know him and watch him grow. Um, just to highlight a couple things from the season. Um, he had four double doubles this year. He led our team in points and rebounds. Um, January 17th, that that game where he injured his knee, he had a season high of 24 points and eight rebounds. Um, he matched that again at the end of the

season with a with a bulky knee brace on against CMR. And I really believe that that game against CMR solidified the coaches, the other coaches in our conference, their opinion of of who he was as a player because he he had a really tough uh game and and and carried us a little bit in that game and scored 24 points on the road. We ended up losing by one. Um but just so proud of everything that the team his teammates are here to support him tonight. The team accomplished this season and very proud of everything Aiden achieved as well. We fell short of our goals at the state tournament, but it was quite the journey with with this group of young men, and I I couldn't be happier to to be called their coach. >>

Coach Clson, thank you for all the information, the highlights. Um, I think what we'll do every it's on one reading, so but Aiden, stay there for just a second. Um, Greg, if you want to ask Aiden some questions right now and then, um, or Coach Claxton as well. He's he's he's up there, too. So, we can ask him some questions. Um, and then we'll have the girls up and then we'll have some pictures at the end. So, that's kind of our process in this one. Um, but Aiden, congratulations. Seen you for a really long time. you know, I um watched you watch play basketball a lot over the years, but I'm always impressed on how kind you are, whether it was before the game, after the game. Um, so I always appreciate that of you

more than anything else. So, congratulations on your award. Um, and then also, is there any other comments from trustees for Aiden or Coach Claxton? All right, Greg. >> Yeah, thank thank you so much, Coach Claxton. really appreciate what you do and who you are in your community at GHS. Uh really a great leader of your program and have been since day one. And I I fully know the passion that you personally bring to your position at at Gallatin. And so um it's it's very much recognized. I know you personally a little bit and I've had a couple conversations with you on the side and I just know enough about you that you're you're a very um quality human being to have um leading these boys. So, thank thank you for everything that you do and

the and the nice words that you prepped for Aiden tonight. Um, and Aiden, so you're you're a senior. >> Yes. >> Can you are you do you have plans for next year? And if so, would you share them with us? >> Um, I'm still undecided. Um, I'm hoping to look for offers for basketball next year, but if not, um, I might take a gap year just, um, kind of figure things out. So, >> great. And I know that you do other things besides go to school and play basketball. What what are your other interests in in in life? >> Man, right now I'm playing for a co-ed softball team, so I am I am hyped for that. Um um uh love to play video games with my guys. Um and then just being with friends

and family. So >> that's great. >> Yeah. >> Coach Claxton mentioned you have two younger brothers. Yes. >> And how old are they and do they play basketball? What do they do? >> Eighth grade and fifth grade. And they love to play basketball. Um they're going to be moving to Florida next year, so I wish they were following my footsteps and playing at Gallatin, but um they they love the game. >> They'll still follow your footsteps. >> I know. Yeah, they will. >> Yeah. Well, thank thank you very much uh to both of you. Congratulations, Aiden. We're not letting you go yet, but we're going to have you step aside, bring the girls up, and then we'll bring you back. >> Perfect. >> Thank you. So, I think Coach Cummings, there you are. >> Um,

hello and thank you guys for having us here. I'm going to go ahead and we we have a few that are running a little late. I do believe they will be here as well. Um, so we might have some coming in as as we go here. Um, but I'll go ahead and bring the girls up and introduce them. So, our seniors who are here, we have Michaela Coleman, Kate Nanzel. You guys can come stand up. We have Jada Davis and Lauraai Bear before. Uh, juniors, we have Satie Perry, and Ameilia Hunter. Anna Liten could not be here with us tonight. She is to work. And then our sophomore class, which is really large and great. Um, we have Lydia Stewart, Mazy Molen, Taylor Thickpin, Vanessa Nasar, and Ava Fleming. And then um Taylor Coleman who

is on her way and Isla Odigard. And then a Odigard is on her way. And then our freshman we have Kyrie Kohler and um Micah Flanigan. So these these girls meet up our JV varsity squad this year. Um they all traveled with us to the state tournament. Um I asked them all to be here um as well tonight. They were either alternates or suited up for the games. But one one thing that's I think super important part of our program and a super important part of this team this season is is the word team and how valuable it is to have such great depth uh that we bring to practice every day. And we wouldn't be where we were at the end of the season if it weren't for their commitment to practice um being

members of the team, their leadership on and off the court. So um I thought it was important to have them all here to honor today. Um like I said, we're waiting on a few more. Um, so yeah, this team I've had a lot of people ask me about our undefeated season. Um, I don't know if that was ever the goal. Um, obviously after winning state last year, we wanted to do that again. And, um, like I said, a lot of people have asked about the undefeated. And I think it really just came from the type of dedication and hard work these girls showed up with every day. And every day, um, they were committed to getting better. And you knew every team was going to come with a giant, we had a giant target on

her back. And we knew every team wanted to get that win over Gallatin. And we just continued to get better. And a lot of that I think we can attribute to our senior leadership who was an amazing group. Um and they're going to be well missed next year. Um three of them ended up with first team all state honors this year. That's Michaela, Jada, and A. Um and then we also had an honorable mention um all conference as well and Satie Perry who's a junior for us. So um yeah, I I think I'm I was hoping that they would be here by now. So, um, but, um, no, uh, we're going to really miss our seniors. Um, they've done a lot for this program. They were a really good balance and complimented each other and

they really bought into what it means to be a part of a team. But I'm also really excited about the other girls in this room. Um, and to see them grow next year and have to defend it for for a third time. So, yeah. Well, congratulations, Coach Cummings, and then to all the girls. Um, it was exciting to see you guys go undefeated this year. Um, great accomplishment. Um, and then go to Backback State Championships. That's awesome. And win them. Um, hopefully Jada, you weren't so nervous this year. Last year, you're really nervous, but I calmed you down, I'm pretty sure. Yeah, appreciate that. Um, and so, yeah, good. Congratulations. Are there any trusty comments for the girls? >> Gary, >> thank you. Well, congratulations, girls. And uh I want to echo what coach Cummings

just said about team. And that's what I've observed uh over the last four years. Many of you, Jada, and the seniors on this team. Um, but I think the way you've come together and the coaching staff and your parents support was just really fun to watch and to grow and I think you definitely deserve state championship undefeated season and set the bar real high. So, uh, wish you all the best next year and, uh, thank you all very much for engaging and participating. This is a Yeah, sorry. I was going to say A and Isa Odigard are here now. Um, A was another one of our seniors all state first team all state selection as well. So, >> nice words were said about you before you came in the room by your coach. Just so

you know that. Um, I I just want you girls to know that I'm just really really happy for you. Um, it was really fun to watch you win that state championship last year and like your coach said, that that put the target on your back and I think you probably all knew immediately that you had a chance to to win two of them. And it's really special to win a state championship. You won't even really realize that until later in your life. I know it it's fun and it feels good now, but uh it's something that especially when when Principal Schne hangs that second banner in your gym and and you guys go back and see that when you're older, it's it's something that you'll point to and remember forever and you're all going to

go your separate ways and that's something that will always you'll have in common um your entire lives and it's it's just a really neat accomplishment and um and going undefeated was uh kind of the icing on the cake. Maybe it would have been nice to lose one at some point, but you didn't didn't need to do that. You finished it out like you wanted to. And so I'm I'm just really proud of all of you. Um I think there's five seniors here. Are are all the seniors here? Could if you know what you're doing next year and you're willing to tell the board, could we hear from the seniors about your plans next year? >> Uh I'm going to play college basketball Eastern Washington next year. I'm staying here at MSU and I'm studying bioscience

and cosmetology. >> I'm still undecided on my school, but I'll be studying special education. >> I'm going to Carol College for basketball. >> Excellent. And um I from from what I can tell here the cupboards are are not bare. Is a is a three pete possible? >> Yes. >> The other schools all graduated seniors too, so don't forget that. Uh Coach Cummings, I think I saw that you got coach of the year. >> Yes. >> Congrat Congratulations. I just saw that over the >> Thank you. >> over the weekend. So, yeah, you're welcome. >> Um, well, thank you all for coming out tonight and and thanks to your parents for supporting you and and the program. And it is my honor to support the superintendent's recommendation. Whereas the girls high Gallatin High girls and boys

basketball teams competed in the state basketball tournament in Billings March 12th through 14th, 2026. And whereas the Gallatin High girls team finished as state champions, team members include Lauraai Bear, Michaela Coleman, Taylor Coleman, Jada Davis, Ava Fleming, Micah Flanigan, Amelia Hunter, Kyrie Kohler, Anna Liten, Mazy Mean, Kate Nanzil, Vanessa Nas Nazar, A Odigard, Isa Odigard, Sadie Perry, Lydia Stewart, and Taylor Thigpin. And whereas Gallatin High student athletes Aiden Brown, Michaela Coleman, Jada Davis, and A Odigard earned first team all-state honors. Therefore, be it resolved that the board of trustees recognize and honor the 202526 Gallatin High School state girls state champion basketball team and all state individuals Aiden Brown, Michaela Coleman, Jada Davis, and A Odigard. >> Second. Motion made by Trusty Neil, seconded by Trusty D. Any public comment. All those in favor? Motion

passes 8 to zero. Congratulations. All right. So, uh, so girls, since you're already up here, if you guys can come up here and stand, we'll take a picture up here. Greg has your awards and you'll get those as well. And then Aiden, when that Well, if you want to come with the girls too, you can take a picture. If not, once they're done, then you come up and we'll give you one. Okay. >> You can either go with them or take one by yourself. Yeah, you guys. >> Okay. >> Hi. How are you? Good. How are you? or looking at girls. >> Just did it right before I got here. That's why we were late. What do you think? Aiden, come on up. All right. Uh, next items cons action items. Consent. I would entertain

a motion for consent item for high school district 3.3.1. I would uh entertain a motion from a trustee on a consumm item if Sandy Wilson. >> I I move that we approve the superintendent's recommendation uh for 3.3.1. >> Second. >> Motion made by Trustee Sandy Wilson, seconded by Trustee Burlesen. Any public comment? All those in favor? >> Motion passes 8 to zero. >> Motion. Motion to approve consent agenda item 3.5. >> Second. >> Motion made by Trusty Neil, seconded by Trusty Moran. Any public comment? All those in favor? Motion passes seven to zero. Okay. Next item is uh action item in singular uh 4.2 high school district 4.2.1 Mr. Van Beern, I think that's speaking. Okay. So, most recently, um, activities director Mark reported a couple weeks ago that we continue to have low numbers

in both, um, GHS and BHS when it comes to the softball program. Um, as the agenda item has read, um, we've seen just a a overall decrease in those numbers as we especially when we split into two programs. We had a real struggle um, fielding a team last year at BHS and had limited um, competitions because of that. So, um, as we look at the numbers this year, um, we want to make start to grow and create some stability within the program. So, we are recommending that we do a co-op between the two our two high schools, GHS and BHS, to feel the varsity and JV squad. At this time, if you I will take any specific questions around that item. I would just add that we um ma made a move to um make

uh the programs available to eighth graders um and that helped um with some of the numbers um but didn't um didn't get BHS where they needed to be to to run a full full full program. And then moving forward, um, we were limiting the eighth grade participation on this co-op structure to the junior varsity level. >> Any any questions, comments? Sandy, >> just curious um how how Gallatin High was chosen to be the place to practice and play games. >> They had the most number of students. >> That's what I thought. >> Yep. Absolutely. >> Thank you. >> Yep. Darian. >> Yeah. Thanks. And just is is this a one-year co-op or >> do you have this is going to be a year-to-year basis? We I don't know that we're going to need to apply

for the co-op on a yeartoyear basis, but we're going to evaluate the need for the co-op on a year-to-year basis. >> Thank you. Um, I guess I would I'd have a question just regarding so with the AD well moving forward with the the AD positions that we've created and then also with the coaches that are in place at both locations. Are we planning to do u maybe a little more out outreach within the community to try to grow those numbers? And what's that what that do we have a plan for that right now or >> is that just year to year? I again I think it's going to be a year to year. Um know that I met with the two um gentlemen who are at the head of the the Boseman Steelers earlier this

year because they they wanted to come and talk about eighth graders participating and that was back in February and I said we weren't going to make a decision until we saw our actual numbers. But what we have done is that we pushed their flyers out. We pushed out the wreck softball, the community softball flyers out like we're trying to do from our part as a district trying to help build communication around the the youth league to help build up those numbers. Um, and I think it is it's going to be something where we have a new coach at BHS which has I think brought some energy to it, but I think she just is going to need to get out in the community, be a face in the community a little bit more to start

recruiting those those numbers and moving forward. And I I do think that once we get on the other side of July 1st when we start the the applying the new AD positions that that'll be a discussion that we have is and it'll be all you know I think it's a a fair discussion to have in all sports is how are we connecting with the community organizations that build up those youth programs. >> Yeah. Thanks. Is there a limit um number of players on a team? Um, I'm just curious if there's any chance of any players being cut because of numbers. >> No, we don't anticipate any players being cut at this time. And I think because we're going to this co-op and like um, Superintendent Bertram said that we're making sure that our varsity squad

is filled with high school athletes and anything sub high school athletes are are working at the JV squad. And that was one of the discussions that um when I when I met with the the Steelers leadership that they were just wanting to build up the JV program with eighth graders and again we said I wasn't we weren't going to make that decision until we saw the actual numbers at the beginning of the season. >> Then with the coaches it said that they will be consolidated. So are we going to have like roles for the coaches that we've hired going into the season? >> Yeah. So, the coaches at BHS are going to coordinate with the coaches at GHS. And actually, I know um Mr. Ader has reported after their first meeting that the coaches are

pretty excited about this. When you think about it now, you what you would consider more full staff on there. And so, the way it's going to split out is that if um Coach Coleman and Coach Kaylee at BHS, which would be the two varsity coaches, though, if there's ever a split where varsity travels to a different location than JV, those two will work. and Coach Coleman will be the head varsity coach and Coach Kayie will be the assistant varsity coach. And then um JD and then um Joe Doolittle, which is the BHS um subass assistant coach, will act as the two coaches for the JV team. Greg, >> I would just comment that this is exactly the type of flexibility that I hoped we would be able to implement back when we were deciding if

we were going to split high schools and go to two high schools in Bosezeman. Having two high schools, I think in some ways gives us more opportunity to provide services to kids. And this is the the kind of uh this is just a good example of flexibilities that I hope I I had hoped we would implement way back when we were having this discussion and when the community had had decided along with the school board to split high schools. So I'm I'm thankful that admin took this route and completely supported. I think it's great. >> Thank you. >> Any other questions or comments trustees? All right. Then I would look for a motion to approve. >> I move the superintendent's recommendation that the board of trustees approve the initiation of the MHSA cooperative sponsorship application

to combine the softball programs of Boseman High School and Gal High School effective for the upcoming season. >> Second. >> Motion made by Trusty Lucine, seconded by Trusty Neil. Any public comment? All those in favor? Motion passes eight to zero. Thank you. Next item is elementary district 4.3.1 consider approval of metallark principal Casey and Rachel. Come on up. Thank you, Chair Black. I'm excited to um recommend to the board of trustees that we move forward with um solidifying a long-term permanent principal at Metallark Elementary. As you know, um we moved um district longtime district administrator Sarah Hayes into a PLC admin coaching role and it created an interim role um at Metoark when Mr. Andula went to um CJMS. Um with uh Miss Hayes retiring at the conclusion of the 2526 school year, um were

able to transition that position at Metallark into a um permanent position. um in board policy that gives me some options. Um there was only one option. Um so so the options included go going out for opening the position up and and and looking uh what was out there externally and internally and um moving through an interview process. Um the the policy also allows me to um place someone in that position and um that that person is Rachel. Um she has um excelled in our district in many different roles. Um teacher, teacher leader, BEA um um leader, um behavioral support specialist, interimm principal. Um she took um the reigns um and and interim roles are are challenging knowing that it may be one one year or um could be more years. Um and um move the

school forward considerably in one year's time. I'm very excited about um the future at Metallark and what she brings to the table. Um I actually didn't think she'd be here today. She had a death in her family. Um so I appreciate you being here and I'm sorry very sorry for your loss. Um but also equally excited to celebrate you today. >> Thank you, Rachel. Congratulations. Sorry to hear about your loss. Um but yeah, this is exciting to see you back here this year and make this more of a full-time commitment than a part-time gig. So, but appreciate everything that you've done in the district and um things that are going to here to come as well. So, thank you. Congratulations very much. Um any questions or comments from trustees? First of all, congratulations, Rachel. And

I also want to thank you for stepping into this role. Um, as Casey said, as interim, which is kind of daunting. Um, but then staying the course. Um, also before I forget, I'm also sorry about your loss. Um, so thank you for being here tonight. Um, I also just from our years of listening to you speak um at our metalark lunchons, you have a an innate passion um that is palpable and it is very obvious that you care about every single kid in that school and I know that that has to um be a heavy backpack to carry. Um but thank you because you have made it very obvious that um you're the perfect person for this job. And then do you mind if I ask you a couple questions? Okay. Um I just am

really curious after this first year. I mean you'd already been in the school so you knew what you were stepping into. Um but maybe a celebration and then a challenge. >> Um first of all, thank you for saying those nice things. Um and and the loss in my family was just last night my my father passed away. Um, I'm here because I think he would want me to be here and I'm also here because my my brothers and my mom want me to be here. So, um, his fingerprints are all over this. And the passion that maybe you hear coming out when I speak is, um, the hours at the kitchen table at night with my dad who is not in education speaking about the importance of education. um he was an attorney, but I

think he always wished he was a teacher. And so we would have multiple dinner conversations and he would say the only way for democracy to continue is public education. And he was very adamant about that. Um and while my my brothers have gone on to do some really neat things, I think secretly my dad was really proud that I chose this path. Um and he always would say that uh every child deserves a champion and every child deserves a chance. And so, um, as I was sitting with my dad last night, um, knowing that today was today, I I promised my dad that I would be that champion and make sure that every kid that comes through our building is is gets an equal chance. And so, um, I just want to thank my dad

for, you know, encouraging me to step into this role. And, um, I was a student in Bosezeman. I'm a parent. I was a teacher. I was an interim principal. Now I'm the principal. I'm really excited to be here. Um, oh gosh, celebration. Um, at the beginning in September, I just kept like my mantra. I would just walk into my office every day and I did it feel it felt like a lot. And it does feel like a lot. It's a overwhelming in a way job and it just feels like the task is never going to quite be completed. Especially when you're working with little people and big people and I would just every day like 10 times a day, how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. One bite at a time.

One bite at a time because it does it feels like an elephant. And um and I think that the successes are that we I recognize that the job of being an interim principal was not necessarily to make big shifts or changes um but to create stability in a culture where going through potentially three principles in three years can really up cause a lot of upheaval in in the culture and climate of a building. And so my goal was to try to maintain that while building relationships. Um, and it just so happened that I kind of fell in love with what I was doing and I was able to take one bite at a time. Um, and there's so many there's so many successes, every day little wins. But I just met with Casey and Mike

and um Marilyn the other day and I think one thing that really solidified was a success for me as we've been working with our ML population to ensure that we are not disproportionately um penalizing them or or or giving them uh referrals for misbehavior that are disproportionate with the the population numbers. And we kind of reached that mark this year. And so just all the work that Adrian did and the team did and just to be able to continue that was really exciting. Um challenges, oh my gosh, it's the elephant. It's so big. It's just so big and everything from what the district is asking and the direction um and being able to be the champion for children. It's a it's a massive undertaking and I I'm a little overwhelmed a little bit. But the

challenge, I think, is just to recognize that that while it is an immense job to to do it with one bite at a time and and to do it as well as I can. >> Thank you. And I know your dad's really proud. >> Greg, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. >> I just saw your mom on Friday. didn't have a chance to talk to her, but >> didn't really know this was coming, but you know, that's what happens when you're old. >> It's so weird because I literally this this weekend was thinking about when he drove Brian and I up to Bridger Bowl in that old rusty suburban. I I truly was actually thinking about that over the weekend. I don't know why. There was some context that made me think about

that >> and I I just remember just now that I was thinking about that for some reason. So, >> there you go. >> Yeah. >> Are Brian and David in town? Um, Brian and David just flew out today. >> Okay. >> But it Sorry, I had some nice words. I don't remember what they were, but I'm happy that you're recommended for this position. >> Thank you. >> Any other comments? >> Questions? All right. Well, um, I would entertain a motion to approve this recommendation. I make a motion to approve this recommendation. >> And a second. >> Second. >> Sorry. First time. First meeting. Sorry. >> Motion made by trustee Sarah Wilson, seconded by Trustee D. Any public comment? All those in favor? Motion passes seven to zero. Congratulations. Thank you, Rachel. Thank you for coming.

Appreciate you. Next item is public comment. I don't see any public. So, we'll move on. Uh seven, uh reports, executive cabinet report. Seeing none there, nobody's jumping up and down, so move on. Um 7.2, Board of Trustees requests, calendar concerns, reports, and the rest. Um, >> I just I just have a real quick comment. I was able to attend the um Boseman High baseball game on Saturday and there was a lot of enthusiasm in the crowd. Lots of students there. They allowed the first 50 students in free and I know a lot of a lot of work behind the scenes went into making baseball happen. And I think the town's very excited. That's all I've seen on Facebook the past 36 hours is pictures. So, thank y'all to every Thank you everyone. Um yeah, uh

uh April um 9th and 10th they'll be in Whitefish for MTSBA um board of directors strategic planning meeting. Um, one of the areas that I'm on a committee on is about advocacy. And um, if there's anything you want to share with me, like what we part of what we talk about is how to um, engage members and um, so if you have an ideas or things you want to share with me that that you would like me to bring to that meeting, just let me know. >> Thank you, Gary. >> Yeah, I u was able to attend a PLC meeting this afternoon at Emily Dickson fourth grade. It was the most intense PLC meeting I've been in, but it was very good. Teachers are working really hard to get get things done. So, it was

very enlightening. Um, last Wednesday we were in Helena meeting with the governor's education policy adviser. Uh, Casey joined us online. Uh, our meeting, it was a pretty good meeting. um still working on getting a meeting with the governor and I'll be at the school funding interim commission meeting next Tuesday the 7th to provide my input on them studying our system of education. So if anybody wants to learn more let me know. Sandy, >> um I was able to go to Gton High and visit on Wednesday morning um many different PLC's going on and I would echo that teachers are working really hard and um you know they they and I'm not sure if it was because a schoolboard member was in the room or whatever, but um as soon as I sat back away from

the table, the work was honest. It was open. it was shared which I loved. Everybody was sharing things you know um uh either about kids or curriculum or so on. So um my next goal is to go to a a club like I've never been to kids a club meeting or something. So that's my next goal. >> All right. I know we're in season of uh many different uh conversations about levies. Um Mike did a great job at the chamber the other day and uh once again they um endorsed um a letter of support for the district on on the um levies and the presentation. So that's always nice when we can get something like that from a group um that's that influential in our community. So um anything else? Okay. >> I was just

wondering if we need to if we need to or if we should as trustees. I know a lot of us have old support the levy yard signs. Um it could be put out. Um they don't have to be perfect because they might say something about a bond or whatever, but I I I think just getting a a yard sign out or those of us that have old yard signs in our garage, I wonder if we should somehow coordinate that and and do that. just getting that >> if if you have if you find loca if you find them and you want locations let me know. >> Yeah, just to follow up on that is um I think the CARES group is supposed to be handling all the signs for the levy and um I need

to connect with them to get signs and I'm not sure what they're doing as far as getting people um in line to put up signs. And I do know that um Wendy Tage has a lot of s new signs that are in storage. So for me um I can I've already checked with her on that. She I think she's working with this group that you're talking about right now with as far as the signs go. So I can touch base with her and shoot something off to leadership or whatever. >> Yep. >> All right. Anything else? All right. Thank you. We'll give you the rest of your night back. I'll adjourn this meeting.
