In her coffee. inner coffee. Is there a motion on staff grievance? Five. Is there any public comment? Public comment discussion. >> Do we approve the minutes first? >> Okay. >> I thought we did the motion and then did the minutes. >> Either way. I move to deny the grievance. >> Second to make the motion to deny the grievance. Do second the motion. Is there any public comment? For comment Dana made a motion to deny the staff grievance BB second motion. All those in favor say I. >> I. >> All those opposed same sign. Motion carries. Move to our consent agenda. Executive session minutes. I'll second >> Sam made the motion to approve the executive session minutes and second motion. Is there any public comment? Comment. Board comment. Sam made a motion to approve executive session

minutes. Stephan second the motion. All those in favor say I. I. >> Motion carries. Now we'll move to consent agenda. Um to make a note here again, your cash balances are still missing. We're balanced through March and then we hit a snake in April and of course my software lady was out last week. So hoping Jesse and I are good. I just have to have one fix. Um so the one the cash balance is that you see on um The monthly budget report should be fairly fairly accurate. I print report. What's rainbow? >> Gopher sport. >> Oh, dog. >> Oh. Rainbow performers outside >> the pack on you have a fraud credit on here. Did you guys have stuff in bank credit cards? Would you go to somewhere else for your >> We use We

had an issue with um cards getting compromised and we had sequential card numbers. >> So once they got one all of them we don't have actually anything sequential but we get our on that one which was strange. >> You got all that. tools from Texas and went to Argentina. >> Perfect. >> We wish, but is there any other board discussion on consent agenda? Sam, did you have a section that you wanted me to add to that calendar committee meeting? >> So, I um at our committee meeting before our regular board meeting, I went over the minutes with those on the committee and everyone was okay with them. We would just like to add um halfway down under graduation rule and 30-hour requirement. We discussed that the reason for going to school Tuesday through Friday of

that week is it was still a four day. Just wanted to notate that that was missed in the minutes. we could just have that otherwise um everyone was okay with them and they were ready to come to the board for any public comment. Is there any other discussion on the motion? I move to approve the consent agenda as presented with the addition of on the April 20th, 2026 counter committee minutes to add the last week of school for seniors is Tuesday through Friday to keep it affordable. We'll second that. Sam made a motion to approve the consent agenda as presented with the addition to the April calendar committee work session minutes to keep uh to have Tuesday through Friday at the end of the school year a 4 day week for the seniors second motion.

Is there any public comment? public comment. Sam made the motion to approve the consent agenda with the addition to the April calendar committee meeting minutes explaining Tuesday through Friday was for a week for the seniors at the end of the school year. All those in favor say I. >> I. >> All those opposed, same sign. Motion carries. Just to clarify, it's for the 2026 2027. Yeah, that canvas election results. Oh, you don't matter. Um, selection was May 5th, all done by mail ballot and the results are in front of you. The elementary general fund levy was uh passed at 234 to 126 and the high school general fund levy passed at 267 to 195. So we'll have both of those levies to approve in August. So again we will approve the actual dollar amount until

August are set. You guys just need to approve the canvas and then we will break in that and then sign in. Well, I baby since Mike's not here. Um, okay. Oh, and I should say this, too. We did have 13 provisional ballots um that you guys saw on the other. So, provisional ballots are if they were turned in on time, but they were missing a birthday year or a signature, they have until 5:00 p. p.m. Friday or 5:00 PM Tuesday Wednesday 5:00 PM Wednesday to fix it or if it's postmarked by 5 p.m. Wednesday and then none of the provisional ballots that we have had any corrections or changes and so they end up being denied as counted and so the election just came in today and denied all the provisional ballots and so those

did not get counted in this I keep them all paperwork stays with them and the voters get mailed something that says that their ballot was not in the election. How many did you say? >> 13. >> Okay. >> 13 told I think there were >> 11 or 10 were the elementary and then all 13. >> Is there any discussion? What was your um percentage of those returns? You have terrible. >> Well, it's the 462 over what? 890. Oh, oh, oh, oh. Three. What's the total that was that cost or total? Um, I think it's 8.9 something in the high school. I think it was over. One was 51% was 58%. We usually are like 63 65. So, we're lower this year. Is there any public comment? comment to test or votes whatever election >> election

results. There we go. I'll second half. BB made the motion to approve the canvas election results. Second motion. Is there any public comment? comment. Board discussion DB made the motion to approve the canvas election results. We need to second the motion. All those in favor say I. I. >> All those opposed same sign. Motion carries. But this time we'll take a little break for DB to >> the door. >> Thank you for being here. >> Okay. No service working at trails land. >> Anything else? >> Hey, we're getting a new road >> button. We're getting a new road. >> We have Isn't that meeting this week? >> Doesn't end that meeting next Thursday. Oh, and they're moving it, I think, to the >> but they're only going to go Somebody told me they're only going

to go to Medicine Rock where they meet. >> It's not even close to It's only seven miles if you look in the newspaper and it's up by Miller >> and they're putting in two passing zones too. So, >> oh, so I don't know 8 miles. So, it'll be like 15. >> Okay. So, it is really >> And then they're doing more for that just the ditches. Well, that's the part that's bad. Unless you're >> They're trying to fix some of the drifting issues, >> but they're doing the really bad stretch from mile marker 7 and 12 to like or seven to mile marker 15. >> You really have no sprayers? >> No. Like, >> my dad was saying, we talked to you about coming to spraying said you didn't have any. can't even grow. >>

I'm not going to lie, down in your country, we had branded and I'm still getting crumb out of my eyes in the dust. >> Where? >> We were the place down for you. Uh what's the name? The wherever my dad and Brent had their share of cows to the north of you. What's her name? >> The lady. >> You don't have to, do you? >> Yeah. Well, I Brent does. They're at Thomas. >> Mhm. >> Yeah. >> Right. Mac has tons. >> Yeah. >> But that's Brett and my dad do share and that's where they're at. >> You start hearing. >> That's a good idea. I need some more flavor. one of those. >> All right. >> You should have heard your daughter. She was out of breath after dodgeball. Lisa mine. >> Yes. Yeah.

She was, "Hi, Mrs." He said, "We need to get your rap test done." I know I won't be here. tell her to get on that treadmill more often. I'm just saying she was having told me she's not going to be here tomorrow. Oh yeah. >> Or blue. Oh, you like >> I like one. >> No, I'm okay. But I already taste that. Strawberries. >> Only two. >> What? >> Oh, fiddlesticks. Oh, that's why I don't need my sandwich. >> Nobody else is then. I only decided we need to do it. >> 21 and 22. >> Do you think somebody's going to be insulted by my fiber intake? >> I'm only at 12. >> It's okay. >> Maybe I would take one. gold back to order >> with the reorganization of the board of trustees. After

the new trustees have been sworn in, there should be a call for nominations and election of the chair and vice chair. This should be followed by the appointment of the district clerk. Committee members will be appointed by the board chair. This is a good time to review the trustee calendar as well. So, do they have to swear in out loud? >> No. >> Good. Okay. So at this time we'll take nominations for the board chair. There does not need to be a second. However, the election of each officer would need majority vote. Is there a nomination for board chair? >> I nominate Lisa for board chair. Are there any other nominations? >> You just vote on it. >> Can I vote again? You can you can >> uh seven nominated Lisa as board chair. All

those in favor say I. >> I. >> Those opposed same sign. All the same. >> Okay. Is there motion carries? nomination passes. I don't know what >> is there. Are there any nominations for vice chair? >> I nominate seven. >> Are there any other nominations? All those in favor of stepping as vice chair say I. >> I. >> All those opposing sign vice chair. >> I'm really sorry. Did we vote on the candidate on the election results? You did right. >> Yes. Yeah. >> Reena >> appointment of clerk. >> Can we get to nominate? >> Uh We have an appointment for I move to appoint that as well. Although is there any other appointment for all those in favor of Brenley as clerk say I >> I. >> All those same sign. Congratulations Britney. What

do we have to for me now? >> Oh, and Tracy Tracy is the one that needs to sign this, isn't she? This isn't a notary one. yoursent or designated. >> Oh, it's not Can I move? Okay, we're going to do our committee appointments. Um, I like to open it for if anybody is passionate about >> about certain areas that they would really like to be involved in. Yeah, I would like to do something different. >> No. >> How about food? >> Yeah, I'd like to do facilities. >> Your wizard? Yes, I would. Okay. >> Are you taking David's spot? >> Yeah. Are you Are you passionate about it? >> No, I'll I'll go on that. >> So, is there one that you want to get off of? >> Yes, >> we're gonna one by one.

>> Okay. I would like to >> I could get off of facilities and grounds. >> So on me back on that one. >> Oh, it's going to be a big one. >> This is a big one. Big ear. Okay, let's be very >> I've been on it before and >> I guess I get to tell you. You don't have to say >> I'm fine with that one. >> Yes, ma'am. >> Hey, beautiful. you um transportation committee. We I think maybe you want to stay on there. >> Dana, do you want to be on that since you're at the courthouse and that's where it >> Yes. >> tends to be at? >> I would do that. >> Okay. >> Um you two, please don't let me forget. We need to attend a transportation committee meeting. first

part of June. You guys can look at routes and do that before the junior >> was staying on transit. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Um IBB and finance. >> We are going to negotiate here. We'll negotiate again. >> Sam and myself. >> Legislative stays the same, right? Because it's generally the chair and vice chair on that, right? It has typically been at least the chair vice that's on it but it has not been >> I messed the conversation >> the IB and finance >> are we ask question >> oh she just asked a question about the next >> he's going to mad at me for saying this but I do appreciate the fact that has learned about the finance side of it >> y and we and have four people are in communities. >> no,

because you do the majority forum. >> Okay. So, I want to switch daycare because us three, well, Sam and I have been the only ones ever on it. >> Yeah, you can take me home. >> And so, >> I'll stay on it. >> That would be good. It'd be good if one person stays. Um, and then >> so it's >> it's not too difficult. >> Sure. >> They don't do too many. >> You're taking his place. >> She's taking me be number one on there >> and then Dana. >> Yeah, I know. It's like we're almost I'm like on this random. >> You want to put you on there? >> She's going somewhere. I'm not sure where >> and who did she lead on facilities >> and then Pho stays lead on >> will stay

lead on transportation >> lead you're not changing legislative >> you don't you that's your chair Sure. >> Legislative contact is the same. >> Should would Mike be good on the finance with >> we don't have him on anything? We're sticking our policy. He's not here. >> Well, >> I was going to say I think Mike negotiated with us last time. >> Yeah. >> I think >> it was Mike. We said myself. >> Yeah, cuz you sat in for somebody. I sat in for Phoebe. So I wasn't involved for anybody. Yeah, I sat in on it for Stevie >> condiment to come again. >> I mean and not that I mean Mike can go over but Mike has negotiated since I well the years Laura was going out. He was with us that year and then

again that's a last time. >> I think it just depends on like the time of the meeting can be hard for people right >> so something to consider. Yeah, you'd have to ask him. I know that sometimes there's a conflict. >> Do you want to stay on policy? >> That's up to you. >> I'm just trying to find out if there's an absolute no. >> I'm tired of being on it. Okay, >> maybe she can't be on every committee. >> Professional development and calendar committee. I think that's a good committee to rotate. >> So you can kind of know about creating a calendar and just learn about that stuff. So that'll be you're welcome to take me up for that. >> Not that I have an enjoyment. I have >> it's good to rotate. >>

So IBV just leave >> mic. You put mic on it. >> Yep. >> Instead of me ring's off. Mic's on. >> Sure. >> Um are you staying on that one, Nathan? I don't know. >> Okay. >> And Stephan, do you want to be on IVB or policy? >> I would rather be on IB than policy. >> Okay. Dana, do you want to go on policy? >> Find your policy. Yes. >> Okay. Um pray to put Sam first and then Dana till she gets her way. >> So then we're doing Lisa and Mike step in on >> Y. >> Okay. >> Um going into calendar everybody has two except for Mike and Lisa. Dana has three. >> Okay. So everybody has what did you say? I would say you and Mike for sure should be on

it because you guys have two. >> Okay. >> And then I said the only person that should be on it is Dana because she already has. >> Okay. >> You need me on. >> So, nope. Well, so Lisa and Mike, no. Samina, do you want to do calendar? >> Sure. >> I'm off. >> Lisa, mic. Who do you want as the lead? You have daycare and your IBP. Okay. Mic tell me what you got? >> Yep. I have Stefan, Reena, and Sam for facility grounds safety food service. Stephan being in the lead. For transportation, I have Di and Dana with Die being the lead. IP finance, Lisa, Mike, Stephan with Lisa as the lead. Legislative is the same. Special development is Arena, Lisa, Mike with Mike being the lead. Policy is Dana and Sam with

Sam being the lead and daycare is Reena Dana with Reena being the lead. Rather than typing all that out, I'm just going to make this a new attachment in there. >> Sounds good. Everybody on the >> And then we're going to look at our calendar. Are there any changes we'd like to see? Do we want to move our handbooks? >> Yes, please. >> Okay. Where do you want to move them to? >> I know the one thing that Grant and I talked about that I don't think I want to change is for the transportation handbook work session at the end of May first party when they're already meeting the committee already having to meet to all the bus routes. He doesn't need that handbook until the next year set of employees. And so it's not

something that has to be done in April or May. I think we just did it because it was kind of in order with the rest of them. But um I feel like it makes the most sense for when it's time to have that handbook with the bus out. So, we have a transportation handbook work session and approval in June. Okay. You guys, >> I know it's a lot, >> but the student handbook >> and the classified certified handbook kind of overlap each other with a lot of things. So, just this past year, I know they're quite large, especially if we're going to change a few things or review it, but when we're doing them separate, it's kind of a little challenging. So, it' be nice to work through maybe together. Yep. And maybe have we're

going to have to have more than one work session if we have changes like this again. Like maybe put a max like two hours on it and then you call it good and reschedu another one. Um, that's just a thought that I had after this year. And winter is kind of better to review things sometimes, but you don't want to do it too soon because sometimes you don't know how things are going or what needs to be changed when you're just starting the school year. So, I would say moving it up even like a month or maybe we just have two smaller work sessions, you know what I mean, in February and March or April and May. I don't really think we need to be like approving them in April. They could be approved in

May was still plenty of time to get printed in. >> So you can add to >> Yeah, you can. Yep. That's one thing I would say is the reason that we did it I guess as long as it was still an old business is you put it on April and if they weren't already doing it in May because if you potentially have board members in a year >> that was kind of the only thing was either doing it in July when they've had two months under them or that was kind of why we pushed it up was then you guys knew what needed to be changed. >> Yeah, that's what I do. >> So probably for sure by May then would be a good goal and have it approved by May. I would say I

would say if you really are wanting the old work to do it around April and then if you have to move to May then it stays the whole business. If not it's on new business under the new work. >> Well, and correct me if I'm wrong but I think we were a month behind our session last year. >> I think we started I don't think we started in February like we >> did in February. >> Did we really? >> Yes. You got you and >> it's been a long few months. >> We pretty well stayed on until we got to April. We didn't do the transportation because we were still doing >> well maybe if we could put on I don't know this would be helpful. Maybe I could just myself make sure we schedule

the work session at the January meeting. >> I think that would be helpful. We have that notated somewhere. >> Yep. Can you just make a note in the calendar of that? Does anybody see anything that you don't think fits where it's at? I don't know. the June approved major expenditures. That one I wasn't sure thinking about it now what the reason for it has some historical knowledge of what that was for. We've brought major expenditures throughout the year. Why necessary? >> Well, I would I would think that that is if there was some major expenditure and you're waiting until the end of your fiscal year to look at thinking about whatever, >> right? >> You're going to buy um a new cargo container and put it outside, but you're waiting to see if you get

there. You have to do it before the July. So, you spend it on last year. If we wait till June, there's probably a pretty good chance of not paying it. >> I was going to say when is your payment for the 13th month so you can get in the previous fiscal year? >> I know I cut their >> I cut the check to be invoice >> calendar committee need to be switched to later or did it just get forgotten this year? >> February calendar. >> Yeah, February. I honestly I'm gonna say that I forgot it. I thought it was in April, but that says approved calendar. >> So the >> early night especially. Yeah, that's really because you think about the sport schedule and things like that. >> Yeah, I think that's I mean between

the MHSA meeting and then the the scheduling meeting at districts. Um >> you could probably March. >> Yeah, I think. Yeah, >> if you want to if you want to have that information. >> I I mean I would argue that we have had parents ask for it already about when school starts next year. So I think I don't think April is an inappropriate time to have at least school day set. >> So the committee meeting in March though. >> Yeah. I mean the calendar for us is interesting because there is a large number of schools that approve the calendar for a full year out like this calendar we'd be approving for um and then adjust as you need to if there's some random you know trying to figure out that's your best bet for tournaments

or whatnot. So I don't I mean I don't know that we have to be that far out but it's once people get in the habit of it you could be a year out in advance. So for these other committees that we have, should we be having a month that we need or quarterly I didn't seem calendar transportation's on there, right? >> When is IB just >> depends on when we open it. I think last question January open last year. January, February. somewhere in there >> which we could always open it earlier too about >> policy probably needs to >> December worked out I thought we did policy sorry keep messed up >> to do >> December we would review policy that be fine >> that way you have at least a second policy concern >>

what works well. >> December was kind of a nice >> if not we've done it as we didn't have as much of it. >> But I think it's nice we have a scheduled meeting if people know it's scheduled they can submit anything they want us to look at. So >> and then as needed you're thinking >> and as needed. Yeah as needed. >> Yeah. I guess if you have a calendar committee, are you wanting a different PD committee sign? Does that be the only other the last couple years and not the ground or otherwise, but we've done the calendar in April or May that we've done the PD development days in June. Do you want it to all be in one? You want it to be just I feel like I should note on your

but it's >> I kind of liked it being two separate meetings because I wanted to focus on the calendar and then there was time for them to never discuss and come back to the committee which I guess maybe somebody else has different feedback but I would separate >> but >> yeah I would say it works better this year than other years combining. So if you have calendar committee in March, do you want your professional development? >> Yes. >> No. Oh gosh. You're on professional development. Well, >> we just did it. I just >> I know what March is like. >> April. >> It's April. I'm sorry. Keep it on March. >> Um Yeah, just >> you guys tell me. I just feel like that's one thing that we don't have on here. So, it kind

of always gets pushed back because we read calendar. >> Can we just do them both in March on separate times? It's up to you. a little deeper. Okay. And then we have it all for our April meeting. Maybe >> I mean that's I don't know if that's >> I feel like you're better off doing >> in the scope of is that a busy time or not a busy time. It's all busy. So >> Well, I was just going to say if you're going to do that, I would probably just say to do it together because you're already going to have a handbook, work session, a board meeting, and LPD committee. You already have three on them. And then if you added a calendar and I mean if you separate it, you have full. >> I

think keep them separate and just figure it out. >> Mhm. >> Okay. >> Yeah, you may have to do some of these during the day. Somebody wants for small children. I'm the same you are. Okay. I'm good during today committee to March. >> Yeah, I thought that was >> Are you still wanting to host a meeting out location from last year? >> I I mean based on our conversation based on that we're still struggling to I mean, and I'm I I know historically we don't do well on the south end of the county and those things, but um I I do think there's some value in that. The question is we had it scheduled for September. Um the only time we ever interact with them is when we're asking for money, unfortunately, and that's unfortunate.

What is that? You're >> I'm saying host to that Hammond at the school at Ala at the school. One one meeting a year. Pick it and have it there. Um because they're live stream, people can still keep up on what's going on. But um September is generally a pretty mild meeting. So that's why originally we we kind of hit on that one. There's nothing to do that's I'll say like attention grabbing or or not but um eventually it's going to come down to a few votes and because if we don't do the work in front we talking about the work we should have Does anybody else have anything they think needs changed? >> Um, we usually do shops in July. I'm not sure why it's in September. So, we could cross that out, put it

behind substitute teacher list. We do those at the exact same time. >> And that's old chap because then we add chaps throughout the year, >> right? But we do the main approval. What we do is we usually send them if they're getting close to expiring. I'll send them a letter to make sure that they won't stay on it so that they should be fairly for how long? >> So it's five years and then I run another um name check. >> Yeah. What about our walk through? I know we didn't look up last year, but did you want to get that on the calendar for a month? >> Yep. >> I would argue this year defining can jump in there, but I'm going to say you want to do your full walk through >> after >>

September, October. Yeah, >> because everything will be done. We did it during the summer last year >> at the end of the summer, but I don't know that everything will be done yet for sure. >> Okay. >> Oh, October. >> I think October is good. >> We could set it for October before a game of some kind when everybody's anyways. >> And is that just the East? >> No. So the whole board is supposed to do a walk through every year >> of the facility. >> Okay. >> Buses, >> houses. >> We try I mean that's the only inconvenient. We just try to make sure we schedule with them to let them know like hey >> and then I guess you'll have to let me know what I need to do for the facilities ground

safety and food because I have not been on. I'm very excited. >> I know. I'm sure that'll be >> meeting quarterly. >> Anything else? >> Okay, that's okay. >> Okay. Um, recognition and reports. Awesome. Is this something that I'm supposed to >> Oh, graduate. >> Can I make a request to move the June? >> I guess we have a conversation about the June meeting. >> Good. Because there's two points that >> there's two points to this. Um, it's supposed to be the 8th. Um, last year we had to have two because we had a bunch of business that still had to be done before the end of the fiscal year. So, we ended up having one like the first or second and then one, 22nd or 23rd. If we're gonna if we feel like we

have enough business to do, I'd rather just push and have like one on the 22nd or 23rd and not have to have two is my point with it. But I'm gone. My annual conference is the 15th. So, I will be gone that whole week. Um, and I do have to be at those now, but I think I told you guys that last month that I'm a regional person, so I'll be required to get those. >> I'm okay with that. >> Yeah, that works out for me. >> Do it like the 22nd 23rd. >> 22. >> Oh, no. I lied. >> Sorry. >> Yep. It'll just be fine. >> Yep. >> Hopefully. Well, and I could do anytime that week. I just I just know last year it seemed like really >> you're out Tuesday. I

got count. Not that Tuesday. The second Tuesday. Do you want to do Tuesday? my my Tuesdays in the summer >> is where I I asked if we could try >> she said we can do it any >> I usually don't back >> we need to do it >> Monday the 22nd at 6 o' Okay. >> And uh I will be single staffed after June. So you call and I don't answer. It's because I'm hiding crying in the corner. Um, I think everybody got a chance to read everything. Um, did anybody else have any trustee reports? >> Yeah, I can. Okay. Well, I just have a question. Um, because we have policy where you have to get the board's approval to come and do walkthroughs or come for a day. So, I would like to come

to the school for part of a day before the end of the year. So, I was wondering if I could get permission to do that. I just want to visit if the board is okay. >> I don't think it's I don't know if it's a motion. I think it's just getting your okay in the >> I think if anybody wants to come sometime >> in the last couple weeks, they should just need to. Okay. Mr. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Thank you. >> Brandon said this anytime after school didn't care. Um is that the one where the commissioner should go to? >> No. So they don't that we take them this up to the commissioners in July. >> Okay. >> So this is a pre this is where we review the bus routes. Make sure we're

still running the same bus rout stops and then you guys review and then it goes to the board and you do normally take one's not too bad. I don't even think will take an hour. It should be pretty quick. >> I could do almost any work. >> No, I think honestly could go after memorial. >> Okay. Yeah. just >> maybe not as she said any day aton. >> Yeah, I have lunch at noon. Um June 2nd is the primary election. So >> I'm retired. >> Please. >> You guys want to shoot for a day? >> I'm retired. >> The last week of May. >> She just ced out 900. >> I'm retired. Are you here as well? 669 the 26th we have a special meeting to hire extracurriculars. So I could do like noon on

the 26. >> You want to do that? >> One trip account. >> All right, Mr. Capy, take it away. Uh, first off, we will um because Kayla is not going to be on the hook by herself um and Amy's not here and Mike is not here. We will have them on the meeting next which won't be till wow till June 22nd then for bar could give a update on um let you guys talk about that instead of what >> I could do it during >> um isn't that at noon >> they could I mean I I have no either way >> you're the here. So, you get you get to make the call. >> As of right now, I might not be here. >> So, we'll go with the 22nd or the 20. Do you

think the 22nd might be better? >> May or June? >> No. >> Well, you're safe, though. So, I don't Let's do >> whatever. I do what I can. >> Let's do the other one. So, we'll get them on it. Um I don't want to steal their thunder. So, I I will say that we we did go to uh county commissioners and have a pretty good conversation with them as far as um building that connection. So, why it's important obviously the counties a little different funding than than we do. So, um staffing, we have uh a couple different things, but uh in particular, we had um we offered the job, elementary job, and that job has turned out. And so, we still have an elementary position currently open. So, um we're working to hire, working to

find somebody. Um and we we will >> Do we got any applicants? Um, we have one right now. Um, and so I just received that email today actually. Um, so we have that. Um, but we will continue down that and we'll talk about staffing more so in a few minutes. Couple things to think about. Um I sent you guys a message and so on the 9th and April May is the um school board >> June um is the schoolboard association's um annual meeting and training uh which is free for us because we are a member uh and so that >> yes so anybody I it' be it'd be great to have all the board go but obviously So, that's kind of not going to happen. But, um, if you can make that happen, I know

A Reena got back to me about that, but anybody else that thinks they can or can schedule around that, um, we just need to book, um, book rooms, book hotel room for that first night. The eth we'd go up on the 8th and come back on the night in the evening. >> When do you need snow? >> Um, I would say by the end of this week would be good because that gives us time to make sure. Yeah. I mean if it's Monday it's not going to be the end of the world but um because we probably book anything till Monday. So um good stuff there. There's amazing amount of stuff just so um >> I think we all are aware of that >> but the uh dennial study is I mean they as they've

worked through those interim committees they're still working through that. Uh this this this is a huge summer especially um trying to make sure legislature as far as our representatives understand and know um because otherwise we're going to sit on this for you know another whatever five years and it's going to be very very very significant to how schools are funded. Um so we want to make sure we understand it and the more we're part of that conversation um the better. I will say one of the good parts about the conversation, one of the many good things about the bar conference is um I was visiting with the state superintendent and said, "Well, we tried to get our representative down here. Um tried to get and he didn't make it." And she said, "I'll bring him

with me. We'll come down." So, um I feel like those are we need to just make sure they understand how the wonkiness of the funding model they don't fix it. Schools are going to be in trouble. So, the more we understand the better off we So, that's nice. So, let me know. Um so, we have a couple new board members or or one new board member in the mix. But um last year that vote by you guys was to do the board retreat over one day kind of and then have an ending you know I don't know parachute jump likes parachute jump but um an ending dinner something fun at the end of the night. Um so thinking about June and July July gets crazy but um not going to put you on the spot.

I'm going to put you on the spot in the next week or so. uh what day is there a day, a weekend, um whatever that we can make that happen in in June. Um I would I would say that it would be potentially more beneficial if there's a way to do it before the board meeting because then we uh as you look at strategic plan, you look at the the board goals and those kind of things, then those can be presented at that board meeting. And is that something that >> it is and so she we're gonna not schedule it >> when she's gone. >> I mean I don't have I wasn't here last week. >> Okay. >> When are you? >> When do you come back? >> Come back till Sunday. I don't get

done till noon on Friday. So when do you leave? >> Sunday night. >> So you leave on the >> 14th. >> Unless you have >> So potentially the 13th. >> I'm busy the whole month of June until the 18th. >> Okay. And I mean there there's no golden rule, but I mean if we did it that next >> I mean potentially looking at the end of June is we're still >> Yeah. >> So >> and trying to I mean I don't it doesn't have to be on a weekend but it could be on a weekend. I mean that's up to >> the board's discretion. So potentially the 27th if we go with a Saturday. Looks like it's okay on everybody's calendar. >> June 27. >> Oh, I got >> fine. Depends on when you start.

You start after 8. >> After 8. >> Then I go to work at 6 in the morning. I work every Saturday. >> You start after every Saturday. >> I don't think anybody's going to want to start before 8 in the morning. I mean, maybe me, but other than that, nobody else is going to jump on that. So, let's tentatively put that on the 27th and I will follow up with you all within the week just to triple check that we've got that locked in because it it it really was beneficial and um if we can have everybody there, it definitely helps us kind of lock into the Yeah, that's all I got. >> And is a potential to go to He as well. >> Okay. >> Anybody else? Do you have any >> Do you

have any additions? >> I sure do. >> Okay. >> Um I just I >> Oh, you don't have to. Um, I won't take up too much of your time because I'll do a full data report, but I did want to toot the elementary's horn a little bit. Now, Miss, don't worry, Miss Kinton. We can toot your horn in a minute, too. But, um, just so you guys know, we have finished our maps testing for the most part, and our kids thus far, not with all of them, have went up 2,331 total points in their math, reading, language, math, reading, language. science. >> So, they are kicking some serious butt. Um, I know the conversation of third, fourth, and fifth, is it working? Is it rotating? We went up a total of 660 between the two.

So, we've I feel like we've made some tremendous growth. The kindergarten and first and second may have outdid us a little bit. They did,457 total points. And then the sixth graders have went up tremendously as well. And so we're seeing a lot of impressive numbers. Um, as far as our mass data, we are getting more level threes with every test. So maybe it's just first part of the year getting used to them. And now we're seeing a lot of we're seeing a lot of level threes. And so I'm really impressed. We'll do a full data next month so you guys can kind of see the numbers and how we've improved throughout the year. So um, we did get our ACT back. I won't go into that a ton, but overall, let me real quick the

just we our average was the 34ile for the states or for the nation like compared to the nation and so we are sleeping there. So any questions on any of that? But I will I'll include that next month in my the overall data step. So >> and I do I I want to jump in on especially on the mass side the teachers have been working their tail off that with all the teachers and with Carol included. If you talk to all your schoolboard buddies around the state um mass testing has not been a general positive experience for teachers, kids, schools, communities, you name it. It has been a bad bad thing to the point that they've been like, "Well, how should we do it?" Um, but uh our our our teachers and and Carol with

the planning of that have done a very good job of of kind of locking it into where it needed to be and and just have done a really really nice job and I mean we're kind of the one of those models again for the state as far as yeah, it can work if you if you put some thought into it. And I'm sorry, could could you please give me just a quick rundown on the difference between the MAPS testing and the MAPS testing? >> So MAPS testing is what we have done as our longevity testing. So it just kind of gives us an overall picture of how they've grown throughout the year. >> Okay. >> So kindergarten through second does it three times a year which is a discussion we will bring up next month.

We've been talking about a lot and deciding we we have some proposals we need to bring to Mr. copy and then we'll bring them to you. And then uh we do winter I mean fall and spring with the um third through 10th grade. >> So then mass testing is our state testing and it is required grades three through eight. >> So mass is our state testing. Now what they do is we have divided it into three windows and so you do reading um two reading tests each window and then four to five math tests each window but understand I have to sit down and we make a what our year looks like for our math and you have to lock that in. >> So if you say you're going to do for instance we're doing

graphing and data if you say you're going to do it in the third window you have to do it in the third window. There's no shuffling it. >> If you don't get to something, you have to test regardless. >> And then there's it's not like the big math tests, right? >> Not so many questions. Math is just a few. >> That's a good good thing to add to it. So, the math tests are only about 10 questions. >> Okay. >> So, they're they're short. I actually I mean, you're not seeing a longevity. you're not seeing, oh, we've really grown this much >> for this state necessarily and growing from year to year and how many of our kids are meeting the achievement level they need to. Um, it's just it's a lot right now. So,

we're and our kids the discussion we've had with teachers is are we over testing to the point where we're maybe not not getting the data that we could if we just maybe did South Dakota. I had a discussion with a teacher from South Dakota and they only do reading and math maps testing >> and then maybe we look at doing science and language arts every other year or I don't know. It's just it's a discussion we need to think about as far as are we getting the results we should be getting or are we over testing and we're maybe not getting the results we need to see. So, >> so the other piece of that is mast is specifically connected to accreditation. >> While they waved it um for a year because they're still trying

to work out the kinks, the only two that are required right now are reading, language arts, and math. Science is piloted. And I mean honestly in the next probably two or three years will probably not be approved as part of that if because they they've got to figure out some some details about that. Now your maps data and other datas if you have other schools use different tools too then you can supplement your data to I don't I want to say argue but show progress in what your school is doing >> well and show trends. So something that I've noticed over the years is because geometry is always the last sets of units in our elementary, we don't t we don't always get to that. So we don't geometry scores aren't as good. So how

can we work that in throughout the year so we're not shoving it on and things like that. And then just so you guys know, uh fifth grade and eighth grade just finished their science assessment. So understand fifth and eth are required by the state to use science assessments. We just finished that up, Mrs. Hamill and Ms. KDman and myself. And then ACT is the only thing that we have to state test for high school. It's the only thing that goes to the state. >> So that's why those ACT scores are so important because it's the only thing the state gets. >> And now this percentile is so you're in the 34th percentile. You're the lower 34th percentile or the upper 34th percentile. Well, help me understand that >> we are ranked compared to the rest

of the nation in the 34th like we are 34th >> on the left side of >> on the left side and so um we're at such a smaller class I have to be very careful about >> right >> presenting too much data on it but I wanted you guys to understand I mean I can give you their average so understand you go from a nobody can zero but 0 to 36 is your highest. So I can give you our composite score and understand science me so mad. Science is not part of the composite score anymore. >> Yeah. Makes me very mad. So the composite score is the average of their scores between math, reading, science, and writing. We actually scored 58 percentile right. >> Awesome. So and they scored 48 percentile rating. So yeah. So,

any other questions as far as data wise goes? And then I'll give you kind of a I'll give you some graphs and stuff next month so you can really see the growth. So, but we're not quite left to catch up. Still got a couple strangers testing. So, thank you. Thank you for being here. We'll move to new business hiring. >> Uh so the interview committee met um a week ago and interviewed Mr. Brian Evans. Um and that committee included Mrs. Walker, myself, um, Lisa and Dr. S. Moore from the museum on that. And so, uh, I would recommend the hiring of Brian Evans as our history teacher. He's currently finishing his student teaching in Laurel and yeah, we're he was well received by the committee. Um, and excited to potentially have it. Any questions? Discussion.

Public comment. Is there a motion? Do you have anything to add about the interview or anything? He seems like he would be a good fit for our students and really eager to learn. He seemed to make a good connection with Saber and was asking about, you know, different resources to be able to learn about the history here and Montana history and such. And Sabre was all for helping him out. The last part of that, I should say probably the last part of the interview process was the informal part and we sent them around the school with a couple students and then I debriefed with them afterwards and and they spoke. So, you never know what they're going to think. Um, they spoke um highly felt like he fit in well. So, yeah. And then he

left here and spent another hour at the museum. So, um definitely excited for the opportunity. >> Thank you. He seems really willing to or wants to wants to learn and wants to know what happens. I'll move to approve the hiring of Brian Evans as the history teacher for the 2627 school year. I'll second the motion. Dana made the motion to approve the hiring of Brian Evans for the history teacher for the 2627 school year. We second the motion. Is there any public comment? Public comment. Board comment. Dana made a motion to approve hiring Brian Evans as the history teacher for the 2627 school year. Lisa second the motion. All those in favor say I. I. All those opposed same sign. Motion carries. Um, I don't even want to try to make a explain, but we

had a great conversation about the calendar. So, the calendar in your board packet is not correct. Um, there's some changes that need to be made at that. Um, we've got uh a lot of different pieces. We've got some days during the summer for staff. Um a half day at the end of the year and a half day at the beginning of the year for staff as well and a half day at the end of the year for students. And um branding weekend just have to do some PR on that. Um in the the weekend of the seventh, 8th, 9th, and 10th of May will be our best billing. We know that everybody won't do their brands on those days. But the more we can get people thinking about it, the more the better the opportunity

is >> and wanting seniors here that Friday. >> So you do Tuesday through Friday school. >> So there would be a 4 day weekend prior to that. >> Okay. >> Four day Mother's Day weekend. Spring break. >> Yeah. >> We're not calling it spring break. And Britney has the notes on this would be October add the 9th as a Friday going to school. And then in November, November 6, we're moving that Friday. And then May 20th is a half a day instead of a full day. Half a day for students. My question to the board is are you guys wanting to comment you guys will want to go ahead and approve all that at this time since we talked about full subsidies are you wanting to bring the PD back with you and >> I

think we should wait on the PD maybe um others have opinions have a comment but until we have all the days so it can just be added to the calendar and there was one question Mr. was going to get clarification on. >> So then the only changes for this calendar is going to be what Sam just said, the adding the 9th and October 9th and removing November 6th and that May 20th will be a half a day. So that's what you guys would approve tonight. Those are the only two changes. >> You're saying just wait on the whole thing. Yeah, but I would like maybe the rest of the committee to comment if that's okay. >> Y >> if you your opinion on >> right now. >> Yeah. >> Are you okay with approving? >>

Okay. For sure. >> Absolutely. >> So you guys can get some responses and have the days. >> You're saying on the whole calendar or just the P days? >> I think just the P days to be. So then we can release this this >> and a survey was sent out and we went over the results in those will be attached to the minutes from our work session if you wanted to look at that and the committee did take a look at that and try to consider most things that we could accommodate into the calendar. Um, we talked about instructional time and ensuring we're not cutting too many days out being a 4 day week so students can still get through the curriculum and teachers get through the curriculum because that can be a hardship. Um,

so that's something we did consider and there are some days built in if we need snow days, but we tried to stick to the 40 week the best that we could, but we did have to add some extra days in because even taking out days, you're cutting time for the kids to be in the classroom. So that's really something that everybody needs to think about. Every time we cut a day every year cutting three days, two days that really adds up if you look at several years and um gets in. So we try to consider all things I guess when we maybe Mr. Captain has something to add or anyone else we have some news. I would just throw in there um and we went into this year with a conversation about um with Mr.

Walker about getting the as many athletic events not scheduled like district volleyball being scheduled on a Tuesday Wednesday kind of thing. um track district track not being and so that is I mean that's a couple year process to make happen but so this year track like district track for example since it's this week um next year it it'll be on a Friday but this year it's on a Thursday just because there's a lot of factors that play into that um but some pieces with Baker involved and change over people that could help with the with the thing and that so we're trying to really look at our athletic days as best we can to not have them impact that 4 day week as well. >> You're saying there's potential that district track for 26 27

is going to be on the Friday. >> District track >> for this upcoming school year. >> It's going to be on the Friday. You guys put school. >> Do you have that sports schedule? No, they don't subract >> the Friday before graduation. Is that what you're saying? >> The Thursday before graduation. >> Yeah. >> I'm just right. >> District is the problem for the entire track season. >> But anyways, I just I mean, think about that as you guys just move that because that being a Friday that you want kids here and your senior to be here, that may not be a potential if they really are going to change. Well, I'm not going to be here then. >> Yeah. >> But leave it and you >> and I believe we can adjust the calendar,

right? We need to adjust today. But Mr. Captain brought up a good point. We did tonight. We had a work session before this meeting and we had the sports calendars which are subject to change of course but we did compare um and that's why we took off the November 6 and moved that to try to make sure we're not scheduling school on days where there's games again. That's subject to change. Is there any public comment as far as the calendar? Any other board discussion? Is there a motion? I move to approve the 2026 2027 calendar with school days as presented and the following changes. adding school to Friday, October 9th, removing school from November 6th, May 20th, changing from a full day to a half a day for students. I second that. Sam made the

motion to approve the 2627 school calendar as presented with the following changes of having school on Friday, October 9th. Not having school on November 6th and on May 20th, making it a half a day instead of a full day. BB second the motion. Is there any public comment? public comment. Sam made the motion to approve the 2627 calendar, school calendar, um as presented with the following changes of having school on October 9th, not having school November 6th and having a half a day on May 20th instead of a full day. Do we second the motion? All those in favor say I. All those oppos same sign motion carries classified hiring. All right. So we got two on there. Our hire our daycare. Um so Xander Ashbrook and Haley Phelps. Um I would recommend be hiring

both. And remember we had Haley in with that interim title. And so um I would just I would say she's worked very very hard at it and is still learning but is is doing that open as a parent. I'll say that Haley does a great job great job communicating too with the whatever that's called parent. Yeah. Thanks. >> Any other board discussion? Public comment. Comment. Anybody like to make a motion? I move that we accept the recommendation of the superintendent for the classified pay. I'll second it. >> Reena made a motion to approve the recommendation of the Oh my goodness. of the daycare hiring. We second the motion. Is there any public comment? Public comment. Board discussion. Reno made the motion to accept the recommendation of the superintendent for the 2627 school year for classified

hiring. Stevie second the motion. All those in favor say I. I. >> All those oppos. So the daycare committee met in April and went through a couple different things looking at some of the pieces that we needed to nothing major in that handbook um but looking at the uh exemption for different um vaccinations adding a piece in there um and then looking at kind of our laying out our um our capacity different pieces making sure that was specified. no price changes on anything this year. But then also specifying if numbers if we get to that magic number of less than eight that uh the director also has the responsibility to decide who goes home at that point in time we're not over staffed if if need be. Um but uh that was the the big

pieces of it. >> Yeah. Yes. And um Haley added she's added the communication piece and how parents can communicate. So I did look that over and I would confirm what she had >> on page 101. And then and then on the vaccines, I thought she said that anymore you don't have to give a religious or medical reason that you could just sign a waiver. I don't see that anymore. >> I think it's a medical. Is that what she was talking about? And then we brought it up if if that were to happen if we would want to let the parents of >> And so I do know that you look so under that religious exemption. Um they have to have the department of health human services affidavit on file. But we cannot >> disclose >>

we cannot disclose to other kids in the daycare. I thought we couldn't disclose their name, but can you disclose that there's some kids that haven't had the vaccine? >> They I thought we sent >> into it, but it's I mean they have exemptions in school, too. >> And we don't disclose >> because currently if you come they you don't know where like the babies we don't know where they're at on their like exactly, >> right? So it's say that in a way with a baby but it is the chance that they take a day. >> Okay. >> I just noticed in this handbook on page six the schedule and schedule changes. It still says any changes addition or drops must be communicated to Carrie the EPS. I noticed that too >> her phone number. So

probably should update thately. And then on page five, there's just two dollar signs by the >> both of them. >> That's for strike through it. And then um something I didn't touch before Britney repayment fees isn't at the end of the month. No. You look at that page five says the 15th still. >> That's the last bill of week. >> Okay. >> But then they have until the end of the month. >> Okay. So that's >> that's just not included in there. But we can include that line if you would like. >> That might be >> Oh. All payments are due by the last day of the month. >> Oh. And we haven't had any issues with um that other prayers. shoes. Unless anybody has questions for me. Does anybody have questions? Is there any

public comment? Public comment. I move that we accept the handbook for the daycare with a couple of changes that Dana mentioned. I'll second >> you're recording. >> Which one? >> Dana, I'll I'll second it. >> You said the exact same. Reena made the motion to accept to approve the daycare handbook with the noted changes. Dana second motion. Is there any public comment? Public comment. Reena made the motion to accept the daycare handbook with the mentioned changes. Dana second the motion. All those in favor say I. All those opposed same sign carries. Daycare job description. >> So I just I touched on that a little bit that the only change in there both of our job descriptions the aid and the director number 12 is the change that the director reserves right to determine which employer

will be released from duty when staffing needs require only one staff. That was justified. >> Any questions? Discussion. Public comments. I move to approve the daycare job description amendments as presented. Sam made the motion to approve the daycare job descript description amendments as presented. Second and second the motion is public comment. Public comment comment. Sam made the motion to accept the recommend. Sam made the motion to approve the daycare description amendments as presented. Second, second motion. All those in favor say I. >> I. >> All those opposed, same signs. Motion carries. Bar contract. >> So second year bar contract is there um in front of you. Um we have tried to not lock ourselves into any of those contracts. tied to the grant or whatnot just because we want to make sure that they have

flexibility with that. So that's our year two. I have a question. Mr. I was comparing the contracts from last year and then the one last year had like a clause about funding not being available but it doesn't this year. Do you know why it's at last the very last paragraph? I didn't see that on >> should funding. >> I mean, I don't know that it would ever be an issue, you know, with the grant, but I kind of just was curious on why it was left off for year two. >> That's good. That's a great question. I haven't. >> And then my second question is um we are still using grant funds for the second contract. Is that correct? For the full contract. >> Oh yes. >> Okay. >> I will I mean >> that's

going to cross that's going to cross grant year. So this will end up showing in year three. Montana's grant. >> Yeah. So July after July one, year two is July one, June 30th. >> And I will I mean I would I would say for I would put that in the motion >> to include that >> to include or >> Okay, >> I would put that in the motion because I I think that's a valuable piece out in there. And um the I would say it's like a funding clause. Would you call the funding clause? >> And I can pass this around to whoever >> otherwise. And then I had another question for you about the additional training fees. Have we ran into that yet over the um participants? Okay. Does anybody else want to look

at it's the very last? Is it going well? You feel like it's it's worth the $80,000 plus? >> I Well, I mean, I don't want to be the one that to speak that. I wish that's where I wish Mike and the crew would have been, but I I mean, you've got different teachers sitting here. I think there's an intentionality of it that um and year two is is taking a different step kind of purpose of your meeting, but then also the trauma informed practices. And so, um, it's a step-by-step process. Um, I appreciate being able to walk into conversations when they're having, especially their big block meetings. Um, and really have them be kind of walking through where kids are and what we need to do, whether those steps are falling on me or somewhere

else, so that I know we're really not I guess I feel like we're not losing sight of a kid. Um, so at that point I would say yes, but I I don't want to speak for everybody. I think it's that's where I think like next week I mean having Amy and and specifically Amy and Mike and and them talk about what they saw and where we are in that process I think is important. And the resources look pretty similar, but the coaching went from three onsite to four or no went from four to three. Sorry. So that's co remember that's coaching. That's not so the training days that they're here train. But the coaching um is when they're in classrooms and buildings and in the meetings is kind of that I guess neutral observer that

I don't really hug Brad, but Amy hugs Brad. So, she's got to type on Brad. So, >> in no curriculum with this contract. Okay. >> Cuz you have it now and that's what you're going to use for year two. >> Okay. Thank you. Questions? Oh, you can pass this one in case any public comment got any I like it. We in all reality like cuz you know the people at bar at the conference are I mean they're the people I visit with I mean they're in schools of 2500 kids 3,000 kids. So like like well how do you know your students there's >> I wipe their butts when they're baby you know what I mean like but I mean like we we've already we've always done it you know but like they do it because

they don't know their kids at all. So, it's I think for us it's the other way of looking at the the um the data part of it more so the like the sound like one lady like like I know a lot about our kids. I learned more but like we got a jump start on that compared to other schools. The battle part of it is kind of interesting and I like when like in the big block meetings see in a little block is like teachers can get super long winded. I like how it's this this and there's a time limit and if it's run that way the meetings are more efficient, the information is more efficient and it's done. It's not talked about for a two-hour conversation. It is very efficient that way. And I

I do like that a lot. like you got right to the point and that was it. That's all you need. So, I mean, we're lucky cuz where we're at, but it's just like the moment he's like, "Yeah, we got like 3,000 students." I mean, a few more. So, to kind of go off that, I like the curriculum portion of it, but again, we are small classes. We do know a lot about our our students. Um, we talked to Brad and he said that kindergarten and first grade on some of them can kind of come together and do the curriculum together. And we we might try that because some of the games um take more than seven kids. But I do like it. It's just nice to talk to your staff and not be at a

staff meeting. That's what I like. And then I think I had this question last year too, Mr. Capy, but in regards to insurance, it talks about the above insurance policies are issued by an insurance company authorized to do business just in the state of Minnesota, but they're still covered, correct, when they come here. anything. >> I I just have to tell one random story. They their their story that they tell repeatedly is about um about their hotel. They just are they love staying at the Midway because they're like nowhere else do they ever go or stay or they and they're in like schools our size and different states, but nowhere do they get into town. The people I mean the trip they came when our two coaches came um there was nobody there. They were

out of town, so crouches were gone and they're like, "Oh, yeah. It's just open." And they're like, "Wow." But the better part is they get in and there's no key. They're like, "So, should we put should we like look at a different room? What should we I said, I think you're probably okay." And uh I said I said a message. I said, "Cody, I don't have a key. Um are they leaving and going to have it worried about it being locked?" I don't think so. But I mean they they tell that story like repeated because there's like nowhere else do we get to go that we can just check in and just be ourselves. >> Having a key is even different. >> Oh, we have a motion on the bar contract. Um yeah, I move

to approve the bar contract um and to include the funding clause. I'd second the motion. Sam moved to approve the bar contract with the addition of the funding clause. Please second the motion. Is there any public comment? for comment. Board comment. Sam made the motion to approve the bar contract with the addition of the funding clause. Lisa second the motion. All those in favor say I. >> I. >> All those same time. Motion carries. Extended contracts. >> So this year we're headed into um obviously a lot of construction going on. I mean, first off, we have the normal extended contract apparel to deal with um grades and transcripts and all the counseling piece. And so that is a mix of those duties, but that's 10 days. Um at the moment, we we may have to

bring this back. Um but uh Mrs. Hamill and Mrs. walk are going to have to do some reasonably substantial work in their room rooms. But in and so there is um with the tile being torn out of their rooms. Um there are some hazardous chemicals in the science that have to be uh they're like we don't want to take care of those. And I'm like well you can just throw them in your dumpster and we'll just see what happens. But uh so she needs those that time to work at that. And so, um, their daily rates are there, but I we're going to start I Mrs. Walker's is a little different because it's not quite as toxic and I guess vinegar or something could be bad, but hers is a little bit easier. But Mrs.

Haml's we're hoping for two days, but if it's not, we may have to adjust that >> so that she can be ready for the construction. >> That's what I was just going to ask was is two days going to be enough? But >> just add them tonight. We at least found out that >> she doesn't have to move. >> We don't have to move like a lot of the stuff like on [ __ ] that like above your cabinets and all that we can just tape off and so that's nice. We were thinking they would have like come off the like top cupboards and cabinets and whatever but that can just be >> perhaps there is chemical >> the chemical one is the one. >> It's up to you guys. I put two days on here because

this was pre our conversation with Tyler. Tyler came Thursday after him. So you guys can approve up to as many days as you would like. >> What do you think? >> Um I mean I can I can move it that fast. The um the question is how long where do you want to put it and how long do you want to leave it out? So >> because right now the room is pretty controlled like it has good ventilation and >> doesn't say we can go to the shop if we need ventilation or ventilation be around to go to the shop or not >> and what kind of temperature control >> just keep and are they going to be sparking things in the shop? >> I don't think I didn't know in the shed. >> Yeah.

>> Okay. And it shouldn't be that long. >> We're supposed to get Did you ever get the timeline from >> Did you get the timeline from Tyler? >> No. >> Do you have days to move it back in? Do you need like two days to take it out and two days to put it back? >> I mean, I think it can be done in one one day out, one day in. >> So, >> well, it's not that hard to remove. These have to do it kind of slowly because they're glass. >> I guess I'd rather air on the side of >> we can approve them if you don't use them. >> That's fine versus we don't approve them then hung up in some limbo land. I'd rather go if that you said one and one.

I'd rather go four >> and then if you don't if you only use two that's fine, >> right? That's fine >> because you're still sorting. I mean I know that's been there's some chemicals in there older than everybody in this room. So >> yeah. Well, I'm hoping I'm hoping to get most of the stuff in a place where it can be taped off before school gets out. >> Okay. >> And then truthfully, there won't be a lot of moving >> except for just that one room. But we just have to have some good secure like shelves to put it on and a secure area where it won't get bumped and not get old. They're not like unstable. It's just they're all glass, right? >> And I don't want people to like be running in and

out around them all the time. >> Makes sense to me. >> And is it is a day is Amy's just a day? >> Amy is is >> they're both two days. >> And part of that is both of her rooms actually. Um the sewing room and the kitchen are both, but hers are she just basically has to take things off, remove her >> cookie pots or whatever. Um but other than that, everything else, she's got all her >> cookie jars up on top. They don't want to break them. But so that's the only thing they were concerned about. So >> all of her cupboards and shelves could cover. >> Just take them off. I mean, plastic >> and then they just move them around the room as they go. >> Which ones are you are

are you talking about the ones in her room? We're just going to move A lot of hers are on shelves. We just put our shelves in like the locker rooms. >> That's what I meant. >> Yeah, we'll take that stuff out. Some of it can be taped off depending on where it's at. As long as there's no HVAC going over it off so there is a little less moving in some of the rooms. So, do we just air on the side of caution for both of them and by the laughter and the >> public comment that's not being said? >> Yeah, I'm giving free for free. >> Okay. Is there any other discussion? Public comment. Is there a motion? >> I have one question. Go ahead. >> Can we decide where we're going to start

after you had your meeting? Are we going to start at this end? >> No. The shortened music room that hallway on that side of the school. >> Okay. >> So, what are our dates maybe looking like? >> He's supposed to send it to us any day. We'll once we get >> You're the end of it, so you have more time. Amy's got less for that room. So, I mean, they'll work down that hall through the to room and this way. So, I mean, but they need to be done because >> I would say you probably have at least 10 days from the 26th. I would assume fiveish days per section. >> When are they starting? >> 26th. 26th >> maybe on site is when they're starting because I plan on I plan on June 24th

through July. >> Yeah. Well, they'll be before that. >> Okay. >> Because they have to get out of the way of all the Hback has to go in the hallway. >> So, are we moving their board meetings to the other school for the summer? >> I think it'll just depend on where they are only because this is significantly cooler. >> Good. If it's hard, you guys we've done it before. I know. I've sorted it out. >> How about slipping through all >> there's any doubt we'll I'll I'll press on Daryl. >> Okay. >> You ready for a motion? Okay. Time move to offer extended contract to Mrs. Spencer for a maximum of 10 dutys and to Mrs. Ham and Mrs. Walker for a maximum of four each. Okay. >> Sam Reena made the motion to

um accept the extended contracts. Uh Mrs. Spencer for 10 days. Mrs. Sam and Mrs. Walker for each for four days. Sam second the motion. Is there any public comment? I'm just going to let you guys know um Mrs. Spencer's is for next calendar next school year. So these 10 days will start in August for her five and five and walkers are for this any board made the motion to accept the contracts u Mrs. Spencer for 10 days Mrs. Hamill and Mrs. Walker for four days each second motion all those in favor say I. >> I. All those opposed same sign. Motion carries informationational ITM. >> All right. So, a couple things through all those. Um, still worked on the ITM. Nothing new to share there. We had theou for public health last week last month.

>> Can you tell me what the ITM is? >> It's an fancy >> interactive. >> So, it's a virtual color. Um, Stockman Bank, Stockman Bank approached us about putting one getting contract details outside the south end of the elementary school and not on the by the south door, but >> the west >> under the >> but it'd be outside. >> Okay. >> Um, so working through those things. Um, with public health, we talked about that last last month. Um after checking we cannot have thatou um we have to have that in house and so um we were we're just we just working on like the training side of that and making sure we're getting that documented. It'll take a little bit of work but they did say they'd come over and help us just um

making sure our kids that are in the system we have um their immunization tracking right and we have it. Um, so we we were hopeful that that would help us, but it'll be it's not a bad thing either way. Um, we talked about uh looking at the assistant coaches. So I've done much bunch of work talking to different people about that and so we will work with the union to bring anou forward that as for the assistant coaches that um one will be hired u but if there is over 15 a second one will be hired. If there is over 41 then um a third one potentially will be hired um and based you know on on that just because we end up with you know with with fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth grade combined

for those three for volleyball especially and and football can sometimes touch on that that um yes one official coach is not going to cut it and second off the volunteer situation is Okay. But it creates a interesting dynamic when we have volunteers um because good, bad or indifferent, the majority of your volunteers end up being parents. And so that's not always the best situation. And so um it's it's a way to try to address making sure those kids are coached, monitored um and they're they're getting value out of their time there. that will we'll take that to um the teachers union and and look through that and bring that back if if they go. >> How' you come up with 15? >> It just seems like a lot of children of that age group. >>

I just used other sample other sample schools. So um because you're really looking at 16 so that the challenge becomes if you get to 15 if you're at 16 then you have one to eight. Oh, >> I just think about like 10 or 12 because then you have them all on the court whether it's volleyball or basketball. >> What's the classroom amount? How many kids? >> 4 through six is 24. >> 24 and then they get help. So I would say 15 is up. >> Most of our junior high programs all inclusive are more than 15, right? That was something. >> Okay. >> Um >> I have a question about um did you get any like examples of pay or I >> Yeah, you don't want to. >> Uh make Yeah. I mean we you

would look I mean we'd have to that's something I have to have a discussion with teachers union about I mean we have to look at our current pay schedule and build it within what's already there. So >> yeah I would agree not higher >> no um uh elementary classroom furniture. So when they built the new school, um there was not furniture bought across the building. And so it creates for an interesting dynamic when you have bigger classes, smaller classes, you got um a lot of um pieces trying to fit together that don't necessarily work. Uh and so we are working uh with Chemtab to identify kind of look at some functional pieces. But the challenge here is uh from a janitorial position, having furniture that can adapt from a kindergartner to say a third grader

is important. Uh and so that's the that's where we're at in this process is having a conversation with elementary. We're going to work with elementary staff to try to lock down what that is because we have budget set aside for that. Um, but we just got to kind of um if you can think about shopping with somebody near and dear to you and buying furniture for your um living room maybe uh getting all the elementary teachers to like really work through that and and because what's really handy for Mrs. Fry I may not be perfect for um sixth grade but we have to kind of be able to bridge that so that it can if we have a big class come through. So that's where we are. That'll be coming back to you um probably

not till June. Maybe >> yeah. So that's that. >> Information. >> Thank you. >> All right. At this time we will close the district evaluation. Everybody but the board. I don't know what's happening.
