I call this meeting to order. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. I have reviewed the agenda and will proceed as presented. Is there any public Are there any public comments on non-agenda items? Miss Whitney, does that book say anything? Okay. No. Okay. We'll move to old business. Handbooks and policies 3122. >> Well, um we have just based on the timing of the year, I have not had a chance to have the follow-up meeting. It got bumped from last Thursday. Got bumped from to Tuesday to last Thursday. Um now it is currently bumped to this Thursday. And so um there is still work to be done on that and that is

scheduled at um on the 14th at 5:00 6:00. >> So we would need a motion to table the handbooks until after the work session. Or if you want to do something else now. >> You got everybody? >> And do you get everybody? Everybody. >> And did we The reason we rescheduled is cuz there were several teachers who wanted to attend and couldn't. Is the 14th at 6:00 p.m. going to be acceptable to the teachers who wanted to attend? >> Yep. >> Okay. I'll move to table the handbooks until Thursday at 6:00 p.m. >> I second that. Do you need us to vote after that? Are you wanting a full board to be here for the meeting on Thursday? >> What am I going to do? A full board session? >> We are You said until

Thursday. So are you planning on approving them on Thursday? >> Oh, sorry then. Move to table the handbooks work session until Thursday at 6:00 p.m. >> Stephen made the motion to table the handbooks until after the work session. Rena second the motion. Is there any public comment? Public comment? Further discussion? Yes, I also included policy 3122E into that as they go on coincide together. Stephen made the motion to table the handbooks and policy 21 30 3122E till after the work session. Reading a second promotion. All those in favor say I. >> I. >> All those opposed same sign. Motion carries. Extracurricular hire. >> Uh currently we are working through Um we uh extracurricular hires are year-to-year contracts and so making sure that anybody that is interested in those positions has an opportunity to apply. Um

we are waiting to make those recommendations till the end of May. As we have people that have applied and interviews that have been taken place between now and the last day. >> When will when will that meeting be? We need to set that. Yeah, whatever. >> I would argue I would say the 28th or the week of the 14th. Any any day of the week of the So the 27th or 28th or 29th if you really want that day. >> We're going to have a special meeting. Can't do it in June, can we? >> Hm? >> Can't do it in June, can we? >> No, because the coaches need to make sure they we want to make sure they have time to lock in summer >> camps and tournaments and training and >> I believe

we were supposed to hire coaches in April and I think that it's that kind of inconsiderate of everybody's time to be waiting clear till the end of May to be doing it. I'd like to see it done when it's supposed to be. >> Is there a specific hiring timeline in the policy handbook? As far as when each season's coaches should be. >> So, we have a calendar of what happens each month of meetings. And April is the extracurricular hire besides track. I believe that's it. >> Everything but track is month. >> And what are the Is there a timeline for when applications are open and closed? Or is it just open until filled? >> That would be There is not an official timeline. There's no official timeline. >> Is there any further discussion? I guess

Um what day is it? >> Oh, yeah. >> Thank you. >> Excuse me. Um So, with summer coming around the corner, so technically from June 1st, I looked it up today and I was trying to find my paper, but I believe it's Tuesday, the day after Memorial Day, coaches can start working with their teams until July 31st when the season's over. like, this summer work session's over. It would be unfair to our kids if we didn't have them go to hired by then. Really unfair to our kids. So, we need to have it done. So. This will help

we can move forward with kids or whatever needs to be done, but as I said, it should be done in April. My personal opinion. And longevity. That's the key to a lot of things, right? Success here at school, success with our sports. Having someone in there that works with them the whole time. That's just how I feel. Success is not built in one day, it takes years. And when you got to go and hire your own in. So. And >> So, I'm close? Can we do Can we do the hiring from Percy? That's close? >> No. Okay. Is there any other public comment? Come in. Or discussion or emotion? >> I'll move to table the extracurricular hiring until the end of May. Can I say no later than May 26th? Or does it just have

to be as it is? >> You can make your motion. >> I made my motion. I recommend to move I move to table the extracurricular hiring until the end of May, but no later than May 26th. >> I'll second that motion. >> I need a few days. >> You can do So, any discussion? >> I did. >> Dana made the motion to table extracurricular hires till no later than May 26th. Sam second the motion. Is there any public comment? Public comment? Or discussion? Sam, Dana made the motion to table extracurricular hires till no later than May 26th. Sam second the motion. All those in favor say "Aye". >> Aye. >> All those opposed same sign. Motion carries. >> You got that I did really quick? >> Before we >> Sounds good. >> I will be

gone that whole last week of May, but I can call in. >> You're not We're talking next week is the one we got. >> Mhm. >> You're not allowed next week. >> No, I'm gone the whole last week. >> But she said before May 26th was her motion. >> Yeah, no no, but no later than May 26th. >> I would like to call in. And what Memorial Day is the 20th? >> 20th. >> Yes. >> Yeah. >> Not Memorial Day, please. >> Yeah. >> I don't have any other day I can feel. Right. >> 20th. The only day I'm really not available to call in at all is the 19th of May. So, I will be on the stream. >> The 20th is fire refresher. >> And then I'm gone. >> Can we do it

the morning of the 26th? >> No later than the 26th. >> Can you call in? What what time? Maybe afternoon. I mean >> I'm really sorry. >> I'm available all day on the 26th. >> I'll be in spear fishing. Probably 9:30. And back at like 3:00.
