It is Thursday, May 21st, 2026, the last day of school, and it is 6 o'clock. We will now begin our regular board meeting. I will call this meeting to order. Can I get a roll call? >> Mrs. Will? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Powers? >> Yes. >> Mr. Wilson? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Chestnut? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Mason? >> Yes. Please stand and join me in saying the pledge of allegiance. >> I aliance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. >> Can I get approval of the agenda? >> Second. >> Any discussion? Please call the role. Mrs. Will, >> yes. >> Mrs. Powers, >> yes. >> Mr. Wilson, >> yes. >> Mrs. Chestnut, >> yes.

>> Mrs. Mason, >> yes. Can I get approval of the minutes of the board regular meeting held on April 16th? >> So moved. >> Second. Any discussion? Please call the role. >> Mrs. Will? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Powers? >> Yes. >> Mr. Wilson? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Chestnut? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Mason? >> Yes. I would now like to welcome the Milford Schools Foundation who has a presentation for us. >> Good. Start by thanking the board. >> Is there a little green light? There's a button like right here >> and then there's a green light. >> There we go. >> Then all our audience are droves of people watching on Facebook will be able to hear you. >> Okay, perfect. I'll start again. Thank you for having me. Thank you to the board and community

members for the time. Um, I'm Amy Wilson. I am a proud member of the Milford Schools Foundation. Have been for five years. I'm our current president and I work with 14 amazing volunteers and kind people who give back to the Milford um, exempted school village in a couple of different ways. For those of you, we've been around for 16 years. Uh, five years ago, I didn't know we existed, which is why I joined the board. I wanted to get the word out because we do good work. Um, our mission, which I will read because I just don't want to mess it up. Our mission is to enhance and enrich educational opportunities for Milford students and teachers. We aim to inspire innovation in the classroom, build meaningful partnerships with local businesses, and foster initiatives that positively

impact the entire community. So again, we have been doing this now for 16 years. We are almost at a million dollars given$ 859700 total in 16 years. So that's a lot of money. Probably wondering where did the money go. We have two main pillars. Um if you go on there we go. Our first pillar is grants. So we award teacher grants to any teacher that applies. Um 415 200 so far in the 16-year history. Just a couple that you see up here. We did fund in part the hundred-year uh band celebration at music hall. Uh you can see also the Google up in our science department. 300 students learned how to use telemetry. Um equipment. They did turtle tracking. They learned about data analytics. Um the outdoor club we did fund in part the um

uh climbing wall which coincidentally I did with my son recently and is not as easy as it looks. Um in addition the robotics club which they have earned awards both state and national and on the world stage. So a lot of different ways um picture not shown we did also recently fund the playground at Malberry. So there are a whole host of other grants that you can look at past grants that were awarded out on our website. The second pillar are scholarships for postgraduate studies. So any of our young adults who want to be a Bearcat or a Buckeye or an electrician or a welder, we encourage them to please apply. We have a number of families that have generously created these funds and have these funds available for children. Five yeah $5,000 scholarship with

two kids in college. I would welcome that break for one of my children, but we moved up north. Um so they are available. We work very closely with the schools. Very happy to have a partnership with the schools and our school liaison to help us in both the grant process as well as the scholarship applications. So that's that's where the money is going. Where does the money come from? Well, our main source of funding is at night of the stars. How many people have been to Night of the Stars? Oh my gosh, it's almost everyone. Great. If you haven't, please come. Um I'm expecting another sellout year at the um Little Miami Event Center. It is our third year obviously being there. We just did choose our honores. Not announced yet. Stay tuned. Um but

we do partner with a lot of businesses for sponsorships. A lot of local individual donors. There's a lot of amazing people here in the Milford community that helped make that event a inspirational night, a fun night. And we get to honor AR alumni. We have a teacher honore, we have a staff honore, we have a legacy honore. So, it's just a way to honor people that have graduated from Milford and are now giving back in their communities andor their professions. So, how can you learn more? If any of this inspires you, you want to learn more, please check out our website, milford schoolsfoundation.org. Um, you can see the grant application, you can see the nomination forms for all of the honores for Night of the Stars. You can become involved if you want to volunteer

or donate. We'll never say no to that. And you al also can find us on uh Facebook and Instagram which again those honories will be announced on there shortly. So thank you again for the time. Thank you again for the support. We continue to uh be proud of the work we do and and look forward to a continued partnership with the schools to to be able to do this. So thank you. >> Thank you so much. I would add that the foundation is selling really cool blankets and these awesome shirts on the Milford Schools Foundation.org website. >> It's like QVC. Um, no. I I will say I I know I say this often, so people that uh are around me often probably heard it before, but I mean when you go to the Night of

the Stars and you see the um just how proud people are to receive the awards that you guys give out, I mean there's a lot of awards are nothing if there's not some sort of meaning or pride behind it or or something, right? You could give award to anybody in this room and you're not going to go tell your friends much about it because what was behind it, right? Michael Wilson gave you award, but when you see people that accept your guys' award and the speeches they give, you can tell that it's um uh very meaningful to them. So, it's always a a really great event to go to and and I know from sitting in this seat for two years, the amount of uh donated money and just the things that you guys put

it towards is uh very fantastic. So, I'd obviously encourage anybody and the ones of people who are watching at home to make sure that they constant always think about the Milford Schools Foundation when they're donating money. So, thank you for all you guys do. >> As someone that um was there at the beginning, I want to thank you for everything that you do. >> So, >> thank you. I I need to add Doug's mother was one of the co-founders of the foundation and his uncle was the other one >> and I'm feeling them right now. So that's why I had to say something. >> Yeah. I mean even with the graduation event that you or the scholarship event that you guys do when you hand them out. I mean, I was just uh there I

was just always looking at the response of people when they received something. And I mean, some of the kids that were at that event and then I mean, the one girl was obviously elated to get the first scholarship, then you guys had like a little extra afterwards. And the response between that girl and her mom was something that you could not replicate on act, you know. So, it was just really meaningful. So, you guys are doing great work and please continue to keep it up. >> Thank you. And I want to add one thing that of all the scholarships we award all of them but two and we gave 13 this year are awarded by alumni >> which I think says a lot for the graduates. >> Yeah. Very cool. >> All right. Uh do

we have any public commentary? >> We do not. >> This one superintendent safety remarks. Do you have do you have safety remarks? >> Okay. All right. Moving on to mission moments. For this month's mission moment, the board and I would like to recognize Feed Our Flock and Todd Kitzweiser from Life Change Church for their incredible generosity and continued support of Milford students and their families. Feed our Flock has been a longtime partner of the district. Even after closing their doors last year, their commitment to the community has never wavered. This amazing team recently put out a call on social media to help cover outstanding fees for members of the class of 2026. Thanks to their efforts and the generosity of our community, more than $8,000 was raised to eliminate remaining fee balances so that every

senior who wished to participate in graduation could walk across the stage with their classmates. Todd Chriser and Life Change Church also answered the call to support students and families by not donating an incredible $4,000 towards outstanding school lunch debt for seniors. Their generosity is quickly becoming a meaningful source of support for Milford students as they continue to step up whenever there is a need. We are incredibly grateful for their partnership and the compassion they continue to show our families and community. Acts of kindness like these are a reminder of what makes Milford such a special community. We are deeply grateful for partners like Feed Our Flock and Life Change Church, whose compassion and generosity continue to make a lasting impact on the lives of our students and families. Thank you very much. And Mr. Critzweiser,

would you like to come up and we'll take a photo >> or do we want to go by all the way down? >> I know. kind of like my coffee cup. >> Thank you so much. >> Thank you. All right, we will be moving on to treasures reports. Do you have a summary, Michael? >> Uh, yes, I do. Um, I'm going to touch on just a few things quickly. Some of it is in our agenda today. So, this past committee meetings, um, one thing I didn't have in my summary, but just to touch on on what we just went over for mission moments is is, um, I know that the the student debt sometimes looks very large at the end of the year, and it is, and we're very appreciative of the community members that

step up, but, uh, it is important to know that it is less than it was the previous year, and we expect it to be less year-over-year. We realize that um we um you know we hope to not to have to come to the community at the end of the year with only a few weeks left to get these things paid even though we're always very grateful. Um, so we have, uh, through Bobby's leadership and Doug, um, began to work with our principles and other members of leadership throughout the district to ensure that we're, um, working with families on a more regular basis just to make sure they're aware of the debts that they have and ways that we can get those paid down earlier. So, it is something that we're very focused on and we'll

continue to get those um, lower and lower every year. Um some other things we touched on which we'll talk more about today later so I won't talk about a lot but just working on our um the piece of our athletics. Um so we'll talk about that and how that relates to our performance audit later in the meeting. But it was good to see that I think it's about a 14% reduction since last year and the amount of money that's coming out of our general fund going towards athletics. So, we'll talk a little bit more about that. Um, I know we're going to do some approvals later on some um Chromebooks. So, we continue to um push forward with that with uh Emma's leadership to get new to replace our bring your own device program and

get district-led Chromebooks in the hands of all the students. and we've got one more year before all the um computers that the kids are using will be district- owned devices. Um we are also going to be approving some security cameras and it's good to note that we were able to save some money there by continuing to use the same software system that we have and operations department was able to utilize some of the ex old cameras from the middle school which also saved money there. Um the only other thing is is as Doug and Bobby working together with uh leaders in the city and the township to collaboratively work on, you know, property tax reform conversations and things like that. So we have a seat at the table to work um with them as we

navigate that in the future. So that is very good for them. We thank them for that leadership. And those are pretty much the things that we covered that probably won't be in Doug's report. >> All right. Um, so can I get a motion to approve the board reports? >> So moved. >> Second. >> All right, Mr. Acriman. >> All right, Madame President and members of the board, thank you for this opportunity to give you a snapshot of the district's finances through April of fiscal year 26. It's hard to believe, but we're 10 months into this fiscal year. So, with that being said, let's see how we look. And in this first spreadsheet, what you see is this is our reconciliation. So this shows right here we're at zero, which means our operating account and the

state software are uh they they match. And then payroll does the same thing. So we're happy with that. And then this is our investment report. And then what this does is show right through here down in here that we've generated approximately $2.5 million year to date. and around $185,000 for the month of April. And then in your next here we go. Now, this is our five-year forecast, a snapshot of our five-year forecast. And as you scroll down, Steve, you can see that we were forecasting uh deficit spending of really uh 1.9 million, but right now we're sitting a little over nine million. So, we're actually doing very well. And to give you an idea how well we're doing, last year at this time, that number right there was sitting at 6.5 million. So, I'm very

comfortable with that. Now, I know there's still two months to go, so I'm not going to get too excited, but I am happy. >> Very exciting that we're trending in the right direction. >> Correct. Correct. Yes. And then as you go into our next slides, you'll see some graphs. You'll see that uh as far as revenue goes, local revenue has gone up from 24 25 to 26. State revenue has gone up and then all other revenue has gone up as well. And then as far as expenditures go, you've got salary and benefits have gone up from 24 25 to 26 which is normal. You see our purchase services have gone down. And then all other expenditures you see that they we are down from fiscal year 24 slightly up from fiscal year 25. And then

as far as our last graph, you'll see that our administrative expenditures are at 7.13%. Which is well below the 15% required by House Bill 96. So any questions? >> Please call the good. >> Oh, please call the RO. >> Please call the RO. Let's see here. Mrs. Will. Yes, >> Mrs. Powers. >> Yes, >> Mr. Wilson. >> Yes, >> Mrs. Chestnut. >> Yes, >> Mrs. Mason. >> Yes. Uh, now we have some contracts for approval. I need a motion to approve them. >> Some moved. >> Second. >> Any discussion or questions? >> Please call the role. >> Mrs. Will? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Powers? >> Yes. >> Mr. Wilson? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Chestnut? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Mason? >> Yes. >> Uh, now we have some vendors for approval. I need a motion to

approve them. >> So moved. Second. >> Any questions or discussion? Please call the role. >> Mrs. Will, >> yes. >> Mrs. Powers, >> yes. >> Mr. Wilson, >> yes. >> Mrs. Chestnut, >> yes. >> Mrs. Mason, >> yes. Now, we have several donations to approve and I need a motion to approve them. >> So moved. >> Second. Any discussion? just a I mean I think that looking at this every month it's great looking at the list but the partnerships of our community across this list are just fantastic. I mean looking at a mixture of you know the churches the the per the more community-led like feed our flock then the basketball association and the individual community members the boosters the Mirandas I mean it really is a very good snapshot of the support of our

community to the school district which I think is great. Yeah, we do. We have a tremendous support from all of you and thank you so much. >> Yeah. >> Y definitely appreciate it. >> Please call the RO. >> Mrs. Will, >> yes. >> Mrs. Powers, >> yes. >> Mr. Wilson, >> yes. >> Mrs. Chestnut, >> yes. >> Mrs. Mason, >> yes. Uh, now we have a policy for approval. I need a motion to approve these policies as presented. >> So moved. >> Second. >> Any discussion? Please call the role. >> Mrs. Will, >> yes. >> Mrs. Powers, >> yes. >> Mr. Wilson, >> yes. >> Mrs. Chestnut, >> yes. >> Mrs. Mason, >> yes. Uh, now we have a performance audit update. As a reminder, we're taking our performance uh audit uh section by section

and going over it. And this month is going to be athletics. Yes, we we've been we've been working really hard to um analyze athletics and where we're at um in terms of expenditures. The audit that was done, the performance audit made a recommendation for all extracurricular activities, but the largest portion of the extracurricular activities were athletics. So, we decided to kind of dig deeper into that. So the recommendation was that we monitor revenue generation from extracurricular activities and align general fund subsidy percent of total expenditures for extracurricular activities with our local peer average. So some of the strategies that we put in place um when I got here we had changed our payto-play fees. So one of the things um this year the paytoplay fees have doubled. um we went from um FY25 we received

$24,000 for paytoplay and this year so far we've received $482,000. So there is more revenue you know coming in for paytoplay. So that has you know helped to balance that a little bit. um the supplemental salary schedule. We've also for um through negotiations worked to have a pay freeze for a few years on any increases um for the uh supplemental contracts for um athletics really all extracurriculars and all supplemental positions but we're talking about athletics. Um other things that we have done is a program analysis. Um TJ and I work very closely um on any of the like what's our enrollment? We all know our enrollment has went down. Well, how has that impacted athletics? So, do we have the same number of kids participating? Do we have the right amount of coaches for our

students in each sport? So, we're taking a close look at every sport, how much we're spending in each sport, you know, what cycle of uniform replacement do we get down to what kind of equipment just so we can make sure that one, our monies are equitable among sports, but that we also make sure that we have the number of coaches. Do we still have the same number of coaches we had when we had 50 more kids playing or are are we right sizing? And that's kind of what we're looking at all over is making sure we right size with the number of kids we have for, you know, education and for athletics. So that's something we've been doing. Um, which has been very helpful. We have both learned a lot about athletics. Um so uh

also analyzing expenditures looking at like I said like how much we spend but then what comes out of the general fund what comes out of uh fundraising opportunities and what is something that is the boosters support us with. So just getting more clarity on that for our athletic department and our coaches so we can anticipate how much we're going to spend in hopes of reducing that general fund um subsidy. So if you'll go to the next slide, something we did was um so the performance audit was for 23 24 school year. So what we thought we needed to do for athletics was look at um 2425 and see what are then this was all before if you remember the performance audit came out this year but the data in it was from 23 24. It

sounds a little confusing but that's when the data was. So we looked at last year's which again we didn't have the information so we hadn't started making any you know changes. So um >> yeah so my number earlier was from 24 to 26 it was >> I just want to clarify just in case anybody >> pulls a transcript. >> Yes. Yes. I was gonna say that we've we've made a few changes um in this, but >> what we were looking at was um >> I don't I don't know why the number got wrong. It's 13 point something. I was say I think the number changed. So what we originally had on our slide was 2024 which was all extracurricular activities. So then we changed it to just athletics. So the minus is wrong but all

the numbers are right. So last year we had to the general fund had to sub do a subsidy of 76.5%. And that is you know and then if you the performance audit showed our comparison peers at 54.8 so we were significantly higher. Um if you look at this year so far now when you look at this year it's very important and Doug is very we got to make sure we say that this year is not over right. So until the books are closed we won't have exact numbers. However, what we've estimated is all the salaries, all the benefits to the best of our knowledge, not just up until this date, like what they were paid and then all of the purchase orders, all of the service, everything we could find. We added up all the

expenditures and then all the revenue we're getting in. So, we can give you an update once we close the books, but we anticipate hopefully around 62.7%. So, um if you look at that 54.8, that's a difference of more like 7 9. So we're getting closer. I think the go the the message here is we are getting closer to our comparison peers which was 54 54.8 for that general fund subsidy because we're making changes along the way. Um and I I bet since 2324 the comparison may have went up. So we're also looking at a comparison peer average from 2024. So I'm sure that has went up but we don't have any current data. So, you know, so we're kind of looking at it as we need to keep going down. That's kind of our goal

is trying to go down. We're never going to be able to, you know, not subsidize some of it, but if we can get closer to our, you know, comparison peer averages, it'll be better. So, at 13.8, so year 14 was right on. Um, I knew it was 13 point something and that's when I saw that I'm like, oh, that's not right. So um that is what we have done from last year to this year basically the paytoplay increase um and just being more looking at more of the purchases and analyzing what we're doing. So I think that that's on the right track. >> Absolutely >> moving in the right direction. Um, one of the things that I think you guys talked about, you didn't specifically mention here, but um, partnering with boosters on capital projects

too, um, so that we can align because I know that they put a lot of money into turf and charity Lucas and that sort of stuff. But in the past, we didn't always have that partnership to talk with them about like what are you doing next and what are we what are you expecting us to chip in? What are you what can you cover? Right? So, I think that that's a really good thing to keep our equitable funding true across the programs. All right. And I'm very excited about working more with them to make sure we're all clear on how they're, you know, because they do a lot for our athletic programs. But it's good for us to be knowledgeable about what that's going to be because then what do we need to do with

the general fund versus what what do our teams need to do to fund raise. It's just making sure that we do everything right for our kids and we have great programs, but that we are as fiscally responsible as we possibly can. And I think analyzing everything and going through it and you know looking at some of our comparable schools even you know how often do they replace uniforms or how often do they do this or you know just so we can kind of get a feel for a schedule for purchases so that we can keep that number as close to the comparison peers as possible which again it's two years old so I'm sure it's increased a little so the margin might be a little lower for that. Well, we'll set the bar low for

when they check us as a comparison. Then they'll have then they'll have work to do. >> There you go. >> I do appreciate all the um data digging that has gone into this because I know it's a lot and but I also wanted to point out that like none of this is done in a silo. Like it takes a whole team of people, but also I've really appreciated that Dr. Fior has been doing things like reaching out to the coaches and talking to them. Um she had a meeting with the coaches um just to make sure that when we are looking at all of these things that we are making sure that we're focused on our students as well um and that we are providing them with like the experience that we want them to

have that is good to their education um which is why we find athletics so important too. So I really appreciate that reaching out to the people who are involved in the athletics as well. >> Our meeting with the coaches was fabulous. It was very very insightful. They are very passionate about their programs and they share lots of the great things they do that we want to continue. Um so that was very helpful for us seeing how much they care about the kids and the great things we do because that's what we want to continue. We just want to make sure we're being as responsible as we can um with the money we have. So it was a great meeting. >> Yeah. Yeah. And I've I've appreciated some of the things the work that you guys

have done just to make sure that things are replicatable, right? Like that that we can replicate it with you like a lot of the areas that students help athletics that aren't necessarily part of athletics just to ensure that it's not just >> um you know something that one person asked a kid to do and then they were doing it and now that kid graduates and maybe that goes away. That you guys are doing a good job at making these things actual part of the program and and can bring value. that's easy to understand, easy for us to um know how it's going to benefit more kids in the future through that and and I think that's great. >> All right, moving on to human resources business. Um I have I need a motion to approve

items G1 through G5. >> So moved. >> Second. >> Any discussion? Please call the role. >> Mrs. Will? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Powers? >> Yes. >> Mr. Wilson? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Chestnut? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Mason? >> Yes. >> All right. Moving on to curriculum and instruction. Do you have a Great Oaks update? >> I do. So, um, the highlight this month for Great Oaks, which is similar to everyone, is that they had, um, a whole bunch of senior ceremonies and they had,466 students receive career passports. So students who are going to the oaks um have a ceremony and they get a passport from the oaks and that will be the certifications for their programs that they completed. They will still receive diplomas from their home district. So um student those students can walk

in both if they would like but um it was neat to see uh Milford students I recognized you know come across the stage there. So um and >> thousand just at live oaks or >> for all four campuses for all four campuses. Um, and thanks. I did see TJ and uh Kevin in the audience like across it's like big place you can't really see but I appreciate all the teachers that came out to support. Um, it's Maycember which is a crazy month in life. Anyway, um other updates from them um they are doing some big updates up at Scarlet Oaks which is their Sharonville location. Rearranging some of the programs um devesting of programs that we're not doing anymore. Building out adult workforce. So, lots of great things. Um, they got a lot of federal

grant money that they really take advantage of to build up those facilities and offer programming. The other thing, did I mention their partnership with the Boy Scouts last month? So, um, welding is one of the programs that they always have more kids sign up for than they have spots because welding labs are expensive and that sort of stuff. the Boy Scout um up in Loveland just built um I think what they call an achievement center and it their idea is that they are going to be able to offer some of those things in offseasons, but it's not getting a ton of usage. So, Great Oaks has been partnering with them to see how can we do a Great Oaks class using the facility locally. Um and they're certainly looking at how to do those facilities

other places, too. But just really neat partnerships to see how all of the great organizations in the community come together to offer opportunities for our students. Where is the Lovelin facility? >> Uh, Camp Freellander, Cub World, >> all of Yeah, it's the achievement center is is on there and it's got like I saw a picture of it, 12 welding bays and it's got the garage doors and stuff like so they have it like built with equipment already there, equipment and space. Um, they could even look at opening to do it for adult programming as well, right? Not just um the high school programming. So, lots of great stuff going on at the Oaks. Um, I only have a few updates. Uh, we talked a little bit about technology. Um, we're replenishing our elementary cards with

old Chromebooks. We're refreshing aging devices. And we're extending the life of our interactive boards by putting Chrome um, boxes on the back of them. So, every time we have a big expense like technology, we do the best that we can to extend the life of everything as much as we can, which helps us save money. And then also is just we're using these things in really smart ways um so that we're not just throwing things away and getting new things. Um we also have our AI committee um that has been meeting um and they've been putting together a vision and a mission statement and one of the really cool things that um they talked about was how they're doing a curriculum map for AI for every grade level. So each grade will have at least

some kind of like mini lesson throughout the year um about AI so that our kids are learning the latest and greatest and everything and so that everybody's up to date. So that's what I have for curriculum. Um so we are moving on to curriculum pay. Um I need a motion to approve curriculum pay. >> So moved. >> Second. >> Any discussion? Please call the role. >> Mrs. Will, >> yes. >> Mrs. Powers, >> yes. >> Mr. Wilson, >> yes. >> Mrs. Chestnut, >> yes. >> Mrs. Mason, >> yes. >> Uh, now moving on to business operations. And I need a motion to approve the school resource officer, MOU. >> So moved. >> Second. >> Any discussion? >> U just that nothing's uh changed on this, right? Uh around the 5050 share and stuff like that.

I know that you had told us, Jeff, but I think that's a good thing just for the community to know >> he's coming. >> I know. I was just getting my thought out as he went over. >> Yeah. The only thing that really changed was um there was some language around um having a police dog. Um that officer is retiring, so we won't have a police dog moving forward, but the guts of theou is pretty much staying the same. Again, like you said, 5050 split. Um, so that's really the only thing that changed. >> So if something happens, we'll have to rely on our care dog to jump in. >> Uh, we have a few. >> Now, I just wanted to make sure that Thanks, Jeff. I just wanted to It's just very important topic

for people. So, I just wanted to make sure they knew that nothing was changing there. >> Thank you. >> All right. Uh, please call the role. >> Mrs. Will, >> yes. >> Mrs. Powers, >> yes. >> Mr. Wilson, >> yes. >> Mrs. Chestnut, >> yes. >> Mrs. Mason, >> yes. Now I need a motion to approve the meal prices for the school year 2627. >> So moved. >> Second. >> And just a note, um, all of the meal prices are going to be the same this upcoming year as they were this year. Any discussion? >> Please call. >> My lunch in high school cost 50 cents a day. I'll just share that. >> When you were there, is that what you said? >> Yes. >> We're not going to talk about what it cost when

I was there. Oh man. >> Okay. Homecoming queen of 1958. >> Yeah. >> All right. Please call the RO. >> Mrs. Will? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Powers? >> Yes. >> Mr. Wilson? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Chestnut? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Mason? >> Yes. Uh, next we have a camera project. I need a motion to approve that. >> So moved. >> Second. >> Jeff, can you tell us a little bit about that? >> Um, so it's probably I don't know the exact numbers about a 5050 camera additions versus camera replacements. Um and um they all will fit into our existing headend system. Um we also um saved a decent amount of money. I don't know the exact amount, but we saved about eight um 360 fisheye cameras that we had put into the junior high. We

pulled those out um and we're reusing I think six of those at the high school. So rather than replacing four cameras, we're reusing the one 360 um that that we had put into the junior high, I don't know, two or three years ago. So they were still in pretty good shape. Um but um I I think it'll help. Our the fourpack elementary schools have a lot of blind spots in their playground, so that was really their big ask and need. Um, and at the high school, a lot of the cameras in the high school are 16 17 years old. >> Um, so they're just they're out of date and just need to be updated and and um it it's amazing when you get the new cameras and like our SRO's are like they jumped on

the middle school cameras are like, "Oh my gosh, you know, these are amazing." you know, and it's so it it's time and that's we're working to try to do and we'll probably doing um especially at the high school probably be doing a batch of them every year for a few years to kind of get the those old again they're starting to push to be 20 years old and the technologies just night and day difference from the resolution, you know, especially outdoor cameras when it's dark and stuff like that. The the newer cameras are just so much better and and we've got some blind spots. So, we're looking to just upgrade those and increase the safety of what we got. Um, obviously, we're not doing anything at the middle school, but every other building we've got,

except for not the administration building, but the high school and all six elementary schools are getting some upgrades. >> Any questions? Um, not about camera, but can I ask about the road since Jeff's up here? Am I allowed to? >> Um, I can tell you what I tell everybody else. Call Claremont County. Um, they're getting closer. Obviously, if if if you've been out there, they are getting closer. I did verify the other day. >> I think I told you a couple of months ago that they were missing some arms on the light. They do have everything. >> Um, so they called me a couple of days ago and said, you know, hey, we might be, you know, paving on Friday. And then they did it today. So, um, again, I know it's frustrating and, you

know, now the kids are out of school, it's going to be a lot less hassle for everybody. Um, they've tried not to shut anything down like when school was letting out. They've been down to one lane on 131 for two or three weeks now, you know, on most days. So, um, >> so, so pretty good chance that lights will be in by August. I said pretty good. I didn't say 100%. >> I again if >> I know it's not I know it's not I know it's not >> I'm not going to throw anybody under the bus. Yes, they they should definitely >> piece was missing right. >> They should be done everything should be done out of the way painted paved. Everything should be done by August. >> By August on both lights, both pen

and here >> really about from they've got to patch a little bit of the sidewalk where they've got the layown area. Um, obviously the contractor is going to repair that once they get all their, you know, materials and stuff out of there. Um, but really it's just paving and fixing that sidewalk is pretty much all they have to do on Wolfpen from what I understand. >> Nice. I haven't driven that direction recently, but I did see the turn lanes, too. >> Yeah. >> Or the cutout turn lanes. So, >> so the new black top tonight. >> Okay. Nice. Well, good progress. >> Y >> I go in and out of there a lot. And I do have to say that I feel like the construction workers do a really trying to keep it the traffic

able to get in and out and they're very clearly aware of it and they try to help you out. >> They they and I will give them credit but the county for development is a contractor and their subcontractors there there have been very few days where like they've flirted with, you know, kids getting there in the morning, kids leaving in the afternoon, you know, in between. Yeah, we've we've shut some things down and I've gotten panic test messages from Mr. Mezer at the high school going, "Why is the road closed?" And it's like, "The'll have it out by the time you guys leave." >> Um they they there have been a couple of hiccups. I'm I'm not going to lie, but um and I know just the traffic it just it's bad. I mean, it's

bad when you're not down to one late on 131 at, you know, 3:00 in the afternoon, right? Um >> but uh I I do give him credit. Um it's been a little frustrating about how long the project's gone. Um the harsh winter we had, the early and harsh winter we had um really kicked them in the knees to be honest with you. That that's that's if had we not had a more normal winter um they they they'd be done by now. Um it it just you know not only did they have to stop sooner than they anticipated last fall, they didn't get started as soon as they would have liked to this spring. >> Right. >> It's still faster than that overpass gate. So I'm glad I'm not a West Claremont. >> All right, please

call the role. >> Mrs. Will? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Powers? >> Yes. >> Mr. Wilson? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Chestnut? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Mason? >> Yes. >> Do we have any public participation? >> We do not. >> All right. Um, so I just wanted to say our next regular board meeting is going to be June 18th, 2026, and it will be right here. the administrative office at 6 pm. Um, do we have any discussion for the end of the meeting? >> Uh, no, but I'm looking forward to graduation on Saturday. I feel like ours is a little bit late this year. I saw all those other schools going and I was like, what? Why didn't we get in? So, that'll be exciting for congrats to all the grads and the new things they're going

to do after this. >> Yeah. And I would just like to remind people I was so I was volunteer out of our field day uh this past uh weekend at Pison uh which was awesome, right? And I just always want to remind people again, the tens of people who are listening at home to make sure that you know if you enjoy events at their field day, if it's a carnival, if there's other things in the community that are done, even through our churches and things of that nature, always think about volunteering, right? Because one, you know, there's a few people who are probably organizing that. And luckily, we always have volunteers that are there, but I know it can be difficult. So, if you enjoy events and you know there's probably not a lot of

revenue being generated by these events and make sure that if you have the opportunity to volunteer that you um are doing that because you know one empty volunteer roster is that event could disappear, right? And uh so make sure we're doing that. Um and then just same kind of uh thought process through our boosters and our Milford alumni foundation. I mean, I know that we all uh try to generously donate money often to different causes, but uh just think about our local ones when we are donating money. And um that's all I had. >> Yeah, May is definitely a crazy month, but um with all of the events in May, it's really fun to see all of our students like all of the things they've accomplished, the seniors, all of the little kids and all

the things that they're doing at the schools and everything. all the art shows and all of the events. I just think it's so amazing to have our school like just everything coming together in May because it really shows how awesome our whole district is and how everybody works together and like the PTAs pull everything together like you were saying for all of these great events and we really can't do all of this without the community. So, >> I have to say that I was invited to the wax museum at Meadow View Elementary and one of the students was weird Al Yanovic. It >> still makes me laugh. >> Yeah. So, yeah, great month and we'll be looking forward to graduation this weekend. Um, we will be moving into executive session. We will not come back

here to make any decisions. Um, and with that, I need a motion to withdraw into executive session for the consideration of appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, or compensation of a public employee and discussion regarding pending or imminent court action. >> So moved. >> Second. >> Please call the role. >> Mrs. Will, >> yes. >> Mrs. Powers, >> yes. >> Mr. Wilson, >> yes. >> Mrs. Chestnut, yes. >> Mrs. Mason. >> Yes.
