Did you not read it? >> Okay, it is 6:30. And the March board meeting is the organizational meeting. So the superintendent uh will be presiding for this meeting. So uh Nick, can I have you lead us in the pledge? >> I aliance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Um so at this point uh start the meeting with uh nominating a chair and then from there we will go with the um the rest of the current slate of officers. So I would entertain a motion for chair Second. Any others? Any discussion? All in favor of uh Tracy as board chair, please say I. I. >> Nay. >> Abstensions. Thank you. And I'm done. >> Sorry.
>> Thanks. Um, so we need to, um, I would like to have a nomination for vice chair. Um, Melissa Muzzy. Thank you. >> Okay. So the n anybody else anybody else have a nomination? Melissa Muzzy for vice chair. Okay. All in favor of Melissa Muzzy for vice chair say I. >> I. >> Any opposed? Any abstensions? Perfect. Okay. So we also need to appoint a clerk, a treasurer, and an alternate signer. Right now the slate of officers is the clerk is Candy Lambert. Y Candy >> treasurer is Louise Dup Prey and um alternate signer is Katie Kezer. So can I have a motion to reappoint this slate of officers? >> Okay. So Laura moved and David seconded. Um all in favor say I. >> Any opposed? Any abstensions? Perfect. Okay. So now Let's go to
the minutes of the previous meetings plural. Um, so we have I knew it was there somewhere. We have minutes from from February 4th, we have a public hearing of the proposed budget. February 4th, we have the reconvened schoolboard meeting. Uh, February 9th, the schoolboard meeting. February 11th, 12th, 13th, 16th, and 17th, the public hearings for SB2 in all the towns. And then February 18th, the public hearing on open enrollment. I can take a an I can take a um motion for all of them and then we can discuss any changes you want need to make. >> So moved and seconded by Julia Jones. So, um, is there anybody have any Jess? What's up? >> So, so starting with which one? >> Um, so the February 4th meeting. >> February 4th. >> Yes. And >> I
didn't start it till late. Really >> says 603. Yeah. >> Slacking. Um, >> under item four, action on warrant, just under where it says article three. Um, my name Jessica Wheeler Russell had a has an L at the end as in it's just a cow but but just a cow. Just a cow. If we could just fix that. >> Okay. PDF. >> You want me to go through all of them or >> Can you send it to Candy? >> That'd be great. Ryan, >> look it. Sally's not gonna have to do that anymore. already. We already approve the first half of the minutes for the first part of the meeting that uh the February the January meeting. Did we already approve the first? >> We did that. >> Yes. Thank you. >> Sorry, who was
I supposed to send that to? >> Candy Lambert. >> Yep. >> Thank you, Ryan. Oh, gotcha. >> Oh, nice. >> Once a year. You would think you could get it right. >> So, so um is there any more discussion about the minutes? So the motion was to accept the minutes of all those um previous meetings. All those in favor say I. >> Oh. >> Sorry. One more thing. >> I guess the only thing that's kind of substantive the after all the SB2 meetings the sign off says respectively submitted. >> Oh respectfully. >> Yeah. Not respect. >> Okay. >> Thank you. No problem. So, um, >> I >> All right. Thank you. All those in favor say I. >> Any opposed? Any abstain? Excellent. Okay. Next. Um, the finance report. Sam. >> So, before I dive
into the report, just a couple of things. One is um I do have the MS-22 which is the appropriations as voted that I will need all board members to sign before you leave this evening. If you would I can upload that to the DRRA portal. Um and I just wanted to comment a little bit about the traffic that we had on the um sort of the media drops that we put out. Uh just a quick overview and I'll have a deeper dive into all of the data at a future board meeting, but we had about 3,500 total engagements. Um, >> nice. >> The last month alone we had almost 1500. The videos by far were the least popular material. Um, it had stayed consistent ever since we put them out. Um, but for example, in
the last month, we had 244 clicks on the proposed overview of the budget. We had the line by line budget 171. So, you know, I can I'm going to go through all of that data in in either the April or the May meeting. I'll be able to sort of share out and then we can develop a plan moving forward for next year to make sure that we cultivate the media drops that people were clicking on. Um, and maybe cut out the ones that they weren't that interested in. Um, >> we could replace them with something. >> Yes. >> Something. >> Yeah. Yeah. Maybe we'll try the podcast instead of video. I don't you know, may maybe it'll work. >> Who knows? Um, so before I get to the finance report, any questions on on that?
Laura, >> I just want to say you did an excellent job on that. I know you had help from a lot of other people, but I wouldn't have happened without you. >> I appreciate it. >> Yeah. >> Thank you very much. It >> was a good time. >> It was It was a good time. >> All right. Now, the finance report at uh per usual items that are more than $2,500 over are highlighted. Um, so you'll notice the first function is 1210 and that actually decreased by almost $28,000. So last month it was in the whole, you know, almost $28,000 more. Um, I tried to make notes on each one. In 1211 there is no change um nor will there expect to be moving forward. on 2122. Um that shows um that we're over by
0092500, but that line for this year is f u grant funded for about 98% of it. So we're working with the vendor to to get that corrected. Um 2162 there's been no change in the 2490 function. Again, there's no change when it comes to graduation. the 2660 function which is listed as security but as it if you remember um the board approved the safe grant which is a reimbursement grant so once the work is completed on those projects we will be reimbursed at at least $135,000 that that is listed. So that is sort of temporarily overrun. Um questions >> do we have an idea as to when the grant funding I mean timeline. >> It's whenever the work is. So, we want to get it done this fiscal year so we can be reimbursed this
fiscal year. So, that is the plan right now. >> Okay. And then I did have one more, but to go back and find out if other folks have something um no, I think you covered it on this this um 2122 function. You said that just to make sure I understand correctly, you're working with the vendor to correct the billing. So, is it that we're expecting that overage to kind of either eb all or be completely gone? >> It should be completely gone. >> Thank you. Thank you very much. >> So, I need a motion to accept the finance report. So, moved. >> Seconded by Laura. So, Um, all those in favor of the finance report say I. >> Any opposed? Any abstensions? Excellent. So, I would like to introduce the new board members. So, we
have Ryan Gund from >> Owin. Is there anything you would like to say, Ryan? >> Um, no. I mean, I'm happy to serve the community. I don't have a ton of experience in education, but Thanks. That's all we can ask for. and Spencer Dickinson, our new board member from Pentec. Okay. So then moving straight along is good news. Um would you like to speak to that? >> Nope. There's uh plenty of good news. If you uh look on the digital packet as as usual, we had pages and pages of of good news. So encourage you if you didn't have a chance to go and and take a look at that. There's always good stuff in there. And I'm sure that uh when Nick and Silas go, they'll more, you know, good news type things, including
the upcoming play and and a few other bits like that >> and the jokes. Um, so, uh, moving right along to, uh, Nick and Silus. >> Um, specifically for the middle school and high school, since we just had break, there's not a whole lot to say there, which is why Nick is reading that for today. Uh um but starting off with the elementary school, Boswin Elementary celebrated their I Love to Read Spirit Week through many fun activities including but not limited to Green Eggs and Ham Day, Wearwords Wednesday, and Cat in the Hat Day, just to name off a few. Um Panakook celebrated their 100th day of school as well as Read Across America week and doing their working on wellness is what it's called in the packet in the third grade. Last month's penny
wars, if you remember me mentioning that, resulted in a fantastic third grade win. Though, everyone's contributions and funds that were raised were used to help build their class libraries up and more books in there. Um, you know, reading's good. Uh, yearbooks at Penn are currently on sale for $11 with the deadline to for orders being April 20th. So, if you have kids that go there, um, you know, That's probably a good thing to get right now. Salsbury is having their first ever bingo fundraiser on March 25th at 5:30 p.m. with apparently some amazing prizes and all proceeds will go to the uh Salsbury Elementary School student activities account. The players and coaches of the ICB basketball team are recognized at the MBHS varsity basketball game. Now I'm handing it off to Nick real quick. Um,
I just wanted to say happy birthday to Silus. It's Silus's birthday tonight. I told him he could skip tonight's meeting to go to dinner, but he was like, I I want to go have fun at the meeting. So, let's give it up for Silus. Happy birthday. >> Happy birthday. >> He spent the weekend in New York City. So, that's it's pretty pretty good. And one of the shows he saw while he was there was Hades Town, which we are presenting here. for Hadestown Teen Edition, March 26th, 27th, and 28th at 6:30 p.m. with a matinea on Saturday at 1:30. Um, board members received an email last month with a link to the ticket website. Ryan and Spencer, I will send you guys an updated email with that link. Uh, you can also find the QR
code on the posters that you'll find hung up around the school in the lobby, right outside the library. And right here on the end of that um bookshelf, you'll see our poster and there's a QR code which you can scan with your um with your device to uh go to our ticket website. You can also buy at the door, so it's not limited to buying online, but it's a great way you can reserve your seats. So, you know, you're going to get some uh good views of the show. The theater department will also be attending the NHG theater festival this Saturday at Kiraasarge High School where where we will be performing our play from the um from the fall which was actually an original. It was called Time written by Mr. Costa and Mrs. Babcock
our adviserss as well as a few of our students. So we'll be bringing that play to the theater festival this Saturday. The top three out of five at this regional festival will move on to the state level. Last year we actually were able to host a regional festival and we did move on to state. So we're hoping that we can do that again this year. Tomorrow night at 6 PM in the auditorium is the district chorus concert featuring middle school and high school choirs. This Thursday night also at 6 pm will be the district band concert. So we have a lot of um music music stuff happening here this month. The FBA club, which is Future Business Leaders of America, will be attending the State Leadership Conference next Wednesday and Thursday in Manchester. They have
competitive events that they do as well as workshops. Um FBA is a really great club here. They help to run the school store and different things like that. Coming up on March, this is Friday, March 27th, the National Honor Society will be um partnering up with the American Red Cross to run our blood drive. We host two blood drives a year. This is our last one of the year. If any of you board members would like to get your blood drawn here, you can send an email to to our advisor, Mrs. Prescott, at the high school. So, if you uh are willing to do that, it'd be great to have some board members um if you guys would like to come and draw blood. Now, we have our jokes. First one, how do bees get
to school? They take the bus. Buzz. Buzz. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> All right. Um, how do birds know how to fly north in the spring? >> They wing it. >> And that's a report. Anyone have any questions? >> Yeah, if you Yeah, there's there's a few. Some of them are blocked on our Chromebooks, though, so we have to go to our phone. They're very strict. I can't even go to connections anymore. >> Oh, I know. But sports connections is not blocked. >> There's sports. >> Oh, no, no, no, no, no. >> There's sports connections. >> Yeah. So, like it's instead of just like random words, it's just sports based. So, I like >> I'm better at that. >> I'd be terrible at that one. >> So, any questions? I'm gonna come to school tomorrow and
not be able to do my sports connection. never said that. >> Uh so given that we had um what was it? One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine. Nine meetings last month. We didn't have any committee meetings. So there are no committee reports this month. So that's a good thing. We do have some old business though. Old business. We have policies AC, JB, and JICK. They're in the packet for a second read. Um, we did not receive any input about any amendments or changes to those. Um, and we did not meet as you said because we had all those other meetings. So, um, unless there's something I can address tonight, I'd be looking for a motion to approve those. And you can do them individually or we can do them together. >> Seeing
as we didn't get any um any kind of >> I think we can uh do them as a sleep. >> I u I will make the motion that we approve uh AC JB and JICK. >> And Amanda will second that. Thank you. >> Any discussion? I mean, as uh Melissa said, she didn't get any anything about it. So, I'm assuming they're all okay the way that they are. >> And just keep in mind if something does come up, these are documents that we can go back to. It's not like we can't look at it again. So, >> okay. Then the motion is to accept those three uh policies. All those in favor say I. >> Any opposed? Any abstensions? Okay, new business. First is school board member ethics. So, the schoolboard uh ethics policy is
in your packet. I will be sending you um a link to a Google form. It contains the policy again and asks for your um sign up recognizing that you have read and reviewed the policy. Look for that in your email tomorrow morning. Okay. And next thing is uh board committee assignments. So, so the um so the description of each committee is in your it's the up the last page. It's um yes. So the um the last page is the description of each of the committees. Um we have a current handout that has the current positions, the current open position. So but I'd like to have board members consider if they'd like to change committee assignments. Um, and then you can reach out to me with your wishes. Um, and longevity longevity, I knew I could
say that word. Um, will certainly be considered in committee appointments. If I do not hear from folks, I will assign our new board members to the open positions. Um, and we'll final we'll publish the finalized committee appointments at the April meeting. So, if you'd like to change um, let me know. If you'd like to change your committee, let me know. And, um, Oops, we didn't give you We did it during the meeting last time. So >> we can we we can do it. >> Do you mind if we have open discussion >> because I definitely think policy still needs to meet in March. So >> we can do it now. I think that the thing that um if you've already been thinking about what policies you would like to be on those people I I
think I would like to the reason I said that is because I wanted those people who were going to change to get in touch with me because um nobody has since you know since last week but certainly we can um is there anybody currently sitting on a committee who would like to change your committee. Stacy, what would you like to change from? >> Like to change >> from policy to >> um either finance or negotiation. >> I think finance would be great >> because you said last last year I was gonna ask you actually um I know last year you had said you wanted to be on finance. So um certainly that would be uh wonderful. Um, so we now have So if you could um in your on your sheet cross off Stacy Jarvis
under policy and write her in under finance that would be great. Um, anybody else want to change Laura? Um, in this book, it has it doesn't ethics that >> student ethics. >> I'm I'm on the least amount committee surprisingly. >> Okay, >> I'll just take it. >> So, uh, okay. Student ethics. We will take She's not on there. So, we'll put her under there's a open open spot. Okay. Anybody else? Um, Julia, if I can't say it, I can't be on it. >> Right. >> Curriculum. Would you like to give one up? >> What about long range planning? >> So, why don't you give that one up? >> I wasn't there. >> So, why don't you give that one up and we'll put you under curriculum. long range play first one. >> Yep. So, I'd
like uh Yeah, I'd like to see >> um Well, actually, so here's the thing. So, policy >> has two openings. So, one of them will be Spencer and one of them will be Ryan. And long range planning also has two openings and one of them will be Spencer and one of them >> Oh, sure. Um, so Spencer or Ryan, which one of you wants to be on on long range planning? >> I'd like to dispenser. Is that okay with you? Okay. And so so it will be um Amanda on long range planning and Spencer will be on negotiations. >> So that is everything. So we have um under curriculum Julia Jones is the added um finance Stacy Jarvis is added negotiations Spencer Dickinson is added policy Spencer Dickinson Ryan Gund long range planning Amanda and
Ryan and student ethics Jessica everybody Everybody okay with that? >> You can say whatever you want. >> I I know it's not likely. >> Laura, did you want to stay on finance? >> Okay. And we did say that um I mean Laura's been here for 30 years. So, we did say longevity would thank you for offering though, >> right? Yep. >> Uhu. >> We're not on a committee, so we wanted to show up. >> Of course, you can. Yes. >> Yeah. No, that and that that is a really good that's a really good question. You're welcome to go to any meeting that you want to. Um, as a member, you you don't sit at the table, but yeah, you can >> you could you would like to give up curriculum. Is there anybody who would
like to be on curriculum? >> I would love to be on curriculum, but like >> curriculum and policy do want to be on student ethics other than me >> to what students want to be on. >> But Laura was already gonna give up. Laura was uh >> gotcha. >> Okay. So, Lena >> and can your right policy do a lot of hand? and curriculum is in place of hope. >> Okay, >> thank you. Yeah. >> Okay. So, >> I will I'll go over them again. So, curriculum and you can tell me if I'm correct. David, Jessica, Stacy, Amanda, Julia. Finance, Tracy, Julia, Laura, Melissa, Stacy. Facilities didn't change. negotiations, we just added Spencer. Policy, we added Spencer and Ryan. Um, long range planning was Amanda, Stacy, Lorna, David, and Ryan. Transportation did not change. And
student ethics was Melissa, Julia, David, Amanda, and Lorna. >> Perfect. >> That leaves me with two. I'm fine with that. But if anyone wants to >> And you know what? They're not and they're not set in stone. And if you um if for some reason somebody wants to give give uh give one up or whatever um finds themsself, you know, something some life happens and they need to, you know, back away a little bit, just let me know. And >> y >> I I will say policy meets the most. And so just keep that in mind. >> Policy does meet the most. >> Yeah. >> So you might want to you might want to you'll be meeting a lot. >> You might want to just hold off. >> Yeah. >> So um I think by
our policy. We have to agree to this. So, um I'll make a motion that we accept the committee assignments. >> Nice job of those new people. >> I think it's policy, isn't it? I just noticed finance has the chair and vice chair. >> Yes, >> finance has to have one from each town. Okay. So, we are voting. All those in favor of committee assignment say I. >> I. >> Any oppose? >> Abstension. >> Jess. Put my hand up. Sorry. I said I said I. Sorry. I was getting ready to do something else, >> right? It was not, but >> Yep. But that's fine. >> Yep. That's fine. >> Um I may I have 30 seconds just for our new folks. >> Um so these committees when we meet next will be appointing chairs just so
you are prepared for that. So you're not so you understand like the first item on the list will be to appoint a chair for that committee >> just like today. So, next is manifest and journal entries. Um, so Melissa and I >> signed. >> Okay. Good. Um, so are there any questions? Uh, I'd like a motion to Okay, Stacy. Motion by Stacy to accept manifest and journal entry. seconded by David. And um any discussion? Okay. All those in favor say I. >> Any opposed? >> Excellent. >> Oh, okay. >> I didn't have a chance to look at it. Hey, Julia. >> That was a dig on you. >> I got those late. Yeah. >> Oh, no. Um, so I don't normally say anything um for the board chair's report. I did want to say um
so back in February, I'm pretty sure it was February. Yes, back in February, our February meeting um in the February packet, there was some good news from PES about the Read Bowl. And I got in touch with um Jen about what is Reed Bowl? And um so Reed Bowl is a global reading competition that Malcolm Mitchell, former Patriots player, puts on to increase literacy in students. Students complete each quarter, which is which are the last four weeks of the football season. and then a national championship, a national champion is announced on the day of the Super Bowl. It's a reading competition that connects to football. They receive videos from players, ESPN announcers, and other fun people after each quarter. So, it's kind of a cool thing. Um, and uh um Mrs. Ellis is the teacher
who um sorry took me a moment. So, Mrs. Ellis is the teacher who um who did it. And um so she sent me an email last week that said um they are they completed 32,556 um minutes of reading in those four weeks. and they were state reading champions, Mrs. Ellis's class at the Pentacook Elementary School. And I just thought that was wonderful news and um I was really excited about that. The only other thing that I have is um legislative uh and I could bore you with a lot of legislative, but I won't. And um but this Friday, if anybody is available at 9:00 a.m. and at 9:15 a.m. at the state house, the Senate Education Committee is meeting about open enrollment. This is for any of you out in the community members also. Um
they're meeting about open enrollment. We did have a lot of people who spoke um when we discussed open enrollment at the um at the annual meeting and um I would uh encourage if you can to go. If not, you could um certainly send in uh testimony. So that's all I have. >> That'll be at the state house. >> It's at the state house because it's a Senate. Yep. It's Friday 9 and 9:15. 900 a.m. is the House bill, I think, and 9:15 is a Senate bill. Or it could be the other way around. I can't remember off the top of my head, but they're both they both say almost exactly the same thing. I can get them for you. >> Um, yes. I'm sorry. I should have and my notes are right there at my
computer, but my computer's not here. So, okay. Thanks. I will get those for you. Next is the assistant supers report. So I don't have a ton to report on and it's been kind of a short stretch since our last meeting and one that has been um my time has been primarily occupied preparing for the annual meeting. Uh what I am going to do though is pass around for you um uh some information that was published on our kid governor. Uh and I hadn't I had forgotten to share out the MUO uh news from January and then I have February's as well. So our music boosters have been quite busy as Nick spoke about. Um, they have a lot of exciting things happening. So, I will pass those around for you to check out. Next would
turn that off. Next would be the superintendent. >> All right. Um, so, uh, a couple of things. Uh, one, I I want to touch on some of the things that Sam talked about with the uh engagement data that that he shared out. You know, LA after last year's meeting, we, you know, were kicking around and Katherine and I, you know, talking about um ways to just get information out there. Sam came on board, we started formulating a plan and then um you know, worked through the fall and then started launching the you know, our our media campaign in in December. and we did sort of a weekly um weekly bits on really just getting ways of getting information out there. So I'm glad that that we've had the engagement on on that site. Um so
that was you know something that I think you know 3500 hits is certainly um you know a decent number and something as Sam referenced that you know we'll we'll look to continue and already been talking about what next year could look like and some of the other topics that you know folks said hey you should do something on this or that. So, so that feedback has been has been helpful as well because as soon as that meeting is done, it's on to next year's meeting and to start looking at, you know, the the planning and implementation of this year's budget. But Sam's already been looking at, you know, what are what are some of those lines for the following year with things that we know. So, I think that's that's good stuff. Um we are
talking about when the meeting ends and there's you know work to do the um the passing of the district open enrollment which could be all a moot point based on what happens in the legislature after the committee of conference and now they're bringing something new. If if that were something the governor was going to sign it could make what we came up with a move point. But in the meantime, we're still going to be working on a procedural dock and an application for students from other districts. Um, so we'll we'll give you more information on that at the uh April board meeting because we're currently in kicking things around to register for next year. We're setting a you know May 1 deadline for that so that we have those numbers so we can look at
capacity. We need to see what that application is going to look look like. So, we've been been working on that. We should have that uh for the board in April so that you can see what that looks like. Um some folks from Conquer TV and this I just wanted kind poll from the board. Uh the folks from Conquer TV reached out and uh were very impressed with the uh with the quality of uh both our our board meetings as well as the annual meeting. And so they sent the the kudos out and uh wanted to know about rebroadcasting both the annual meeting and then our board meetings moving forward. So before I answered uh Conquer TV, I know that hits really one community and it's already available on YouTube. So there's really um nothing new
or nothing different for the folks that that click to go there. Um, but before I answer them, I just wanted to get a sense of maybe a thumbs up if you are good with Conquer TV rebroadcasting. Um, again, it's already up on YouTube, so it's not, you know, like it's hidden or anything. Thumbs down if you'd rather. We just leave it on our website and we'll go from there. >> So, it all >> it's available to all on YouTube. Yeah. This would just be an an additional uh way for people to see it, >> right? We wouldn't do it exclusively. Well, that was one of the things with, you know, the board meetings when we were uh looking at live streaming and we had met with Conquer TV a couple of times, but that wouldn't
uh serve us in the other communities. But um but really they just were wondering about broadcasting. So um so I think that's fine. >> As long as it doesn't take it off ours. No, no, ours is going to stay the way that we've been doing it. I think that's been that's been working. Um, and just one more bit just to let you know about on March 15th, the uh Rotary Club is doing a four-way test here at the um high school on Sunday, March 15th. That's um a five to seven minute speech on uh your choosing. And you know, you can battle for some decent scholarship money. something that the Rotary um puts on every year, but this will be the first time it's held at MV. It was uh traditionally done at Phoenix Hall
down in in conquered and uh we got together, they liked the facility and worked work something out. So, we're we're happy to welcome them for the Rotary Filway test. So, can we do the thumbs up thing for Conquered TV again? Those of you who are okay with Conquer TV. Anyone not okay with Conquer TV? Anybody abstaining? Okay. So, you're abstaining. Excellent. No problem. Okay. Next would be public comment. I have kind of an oddball question. >> Wait, wait, wait. Name? >> Oh, Masha Murphy Salsbury. So, when you're doing the minutes of previous meetings, if somebody in the public saw something wrong with those meetings, are they allowed to bring that up? Has that ever come up before? >> It has not. Um, but you can um certainly send me an email about that, Marca. I
would appreciate >> Okay. because you've already voted on them to approve them, >> right? >> We'd have to go. Yeah, we'd have to go back. But but if you So, if you could like next time >> I don't have anything. >> Okay. >> It's just a question. >> Okay. Because I was going to say next time send it to me before the meeting so that we could discuss it. >> That's something to do. >> Yes. >> Here goes my next question. When you approved all those meetings, those February whatnot meetings on one slate. Okay. Did you have to be sitting on the board to approve those meetings? >> No. So the So sorry. No, but I have to close the I'll close public comment and reply to you. I'm sorry. >> I was breaking the
rules. >> Do you Yeah. >> My question is >> Ryan and Spencer right were not sitting on on the table at any of those meetings. So my question would be, wouldn't they have had to abstain since they were not part of the board at that time? And that would make them no difference than me and the public having to put it to you in an email prior to being accepted. >> Thank you for your comments, Marca. >> Anybody else have any? >> Just kind of funky there. That's all. >> Anybody else have any comments? Anyone? Anyone occasionally board members can speak of the public? Tracy, did you talk about um HP 1815 at all in depth? So, I'm going to steal a little bit of the legislative. >> So, wait a sec. >> Go ahead.
Um, David HB8 and Senate Bill 659 >> 659. Those were the open enrollment bills that will be heard on Friday in the Senate. Go ahead. You have three minutes. >> Yes, I do. Um, so I was under the impression HB1 1815 was actually um, education funding. Is that correct? I know I can't. Nobody can't answer me. Um, there will be this week another bill that is trying to modify the definition of an adequate education. And if folks remembered, last year a representative attempted to completely gut what the definition of an adequate ed education was in an effort to um defund u the money sent from the state and they seem to be making a similar attempt at this point. I would recommend everyone to contact their legislators. Um I believe it's in the house funding
committee or it's going to go to the house very soon. So, um I would invite folks who are uh interested in making sure that we still have money from the state to contact the reps. >> Okay. You know what? >> I'm gonna close public comment because >> Oh, yeah. >> Julian Webster. I thought we were going to be a little bit back and forth if it was a simple question. So with her >> I thought we were gonna do that from now on. >> No. So but so I'm going to close public comment and I'm going to answer Marsha's questions. So what we decided to do was we would have public comment and then I would close public com comment. And if there were simple questions like that that we could answer then we would
answer them. Yes. So um Marsha your first question I answered incorrectly. Well not incorrectly but um I shouldn't have. So your second question was um if these two could if they have read them then yes they can vote on them. They don't have to abstain from them. And it's the same if a board member were here or not here. Like if I miss if I missed a meeting, if I read the minutes, I could vote on them. Um, and Jessica was correct and I was incorrect. And I was not, it's not open enrollment. It is education funding. Both of the bills, um, 659 and H, uh, and 1815 are education funding. I'm sorry. My meeting was right before this and we talked about both open enrollment and education funding. Um so yes um so unfortunately
uh House Bill 1815 actually passed the House which is why it's at the Senate now. So but they both say the same thing. They both um do some things with uh with defining what makes an adequate education and um also talks about uh overriding the court decisions and all that stuff. So, I'm sorry. I'm really sorry that I messed up that. Thank you, David. It was it was a busy day, but they all are. So, yeah. So, um non-public non-public under RSA 91 a colon 3 I I A C and D. Okay, that's because we didn't do any committee reports. >> No, that's fine. Before we go into before I entertain a motion to go into non-public >> No, you're fine. We will need a um Is there time already? >> We do not have
anything set because we did not meet last month due other meetings. Um I don't know if Monday the the 23rd or 5:30 >> Monday the 23rd. So policy Melissa, Julia, Jessica, Spencer, and Ryan. >> Um, >> okay. >> Monday the 23rd at 5:30. Does that work for you guys? >> 5:30 is a little early. >> Is it early? Okay. Well, >> I can do six. >> Six? Yeah, we can make six work. That's fine. >> Six. >> Yes. >> Okay. Well, you can go after >> I might have it at >> Okay. Come on down. >> Okay. Would Randy step in your place if you could make it? >> One of you will be there. So, it's the 23rd at 6 PM. >> Perfect. Thank you so much. >> Policy. >> Thank you. Any other
committees? Okay, perfect. Um, so then I need a motion to go into non-public. >> Laura, David, so I'm And it has to be a roll call. >> David was the second. >> Tracy, >> yes. Dickson, >> Ryan Gun, >> yes. >> Melissa Muzzy, >> Jessica Wheeler Russell, >> yes. >> Laura Vincent, >> yes. >> David Nesbbit, >> yes. >> Julia Jones, >> Stacy Jarvis, >> Laura Carile, >> yes. Amanda York.
