006Jersey but across the country so the first side is um that's not very legible and I'll explain why one of my responsibilities of course is the video of humanities and also be able to share with you as foreign and of course um based on our star storms so we're not going to blame them and of course it seems worse however uh he goes on to say that I can make this song test scores and Elementary School math and reading 12 and two levels unseeing confidence according to the first nationally representative report comparative student-chief of just before the pandemic to perform these two years later all right also let me point out something to think that we can't deal with the key important but based on the research that I'm also found out it wasn't just
007isolated weight stuff every school district in the country to deal with itself exact same thing that we were here with as a matter of fact if I closed my eyes and someone was reading to me I would have thought you were talking about us foreign [Music] of the pandemic we have additional gaps more behavioral chapters among the students ever before we had more additional problems but the research day vandalism violence all over the country escalated [Music] in addition to that absenteeism and one of the things I've been dealing with the past couple of days parents called me because the child left today to school and still asking us children have to come to school but we don't want them to come to school when you're sick of course but actually is we definitely do mandate
008because of covet and maths texting social distancing quarantine isolation contact tracing all these mandates were placed upon us in addition to what we normally do made very difficult very difficult to keep young people and of course as a result we had an increased mental health concerns you put some things in place to address mental health not only for our students so leave yourself concerned can be found here in Winslow but again I'm saying that you are the same concerns but everywhere else so basically putting things in perspective we are not alone included about two things I'm going to show you I'm going to prepare each grade starting from the third grade with the state of New Jersey how did third grade was due to the state of New Jersey and how the winds look down
009to third graders compared with all the other Philippines all right okay uh and ladies and gentlemen there's a lot of data that we try to go through and as soon as I can but if I'm moving too fast somebody to say you need to slow down all right District Performance Medical grades three and four Angels Landing tokens so the first row is Windsor capture creator second rule is the state of New Jersey grade three now the first level that I'm going to do for this slide that I'm not going to bring you down every cycle the first level is those students who do not need expectations level two partially net expectations level three approach expectation those are the students above just a little more into many expectations [Music] than they were and not number four
010amended expectations really they're at a great level of the world and not level five they exceeded things [Music] and then the last one the total number of students who exceeded expectations and you uh remember to see the expectations so you take a level four number five added together for your percentage for those students who met or to be expectations so let's look at this and go through it uh another one with your captioned 24 by third grade is beating you need expectations the state's third graders 20.1 percent level 2 18.9 of our third degree is partially a 15.5 percent of the state's third premium is partially men level three 19.2 percent were approaching extra 50 22 from the state level four men expectations 33.1 of our third graders made expectations 36.2 percent of the state's

014not what we have found when you look at the data David look at those students right on the phone without you free you'll find that there's a very emotions state which means that um that could be two or three students who shows the ties in terms of the estimates moving forward ninth grade games English language arts level 1 25.2 percent weight slow 12.3 percent state 23 percent from two points over 13 25 States again right there on the boat 22.2 when it's low 21.5 in the second state level four 26 say 31 percent age of occasion 3.6 stage 21 23 for a local 29.6 percent wins load management 52.7 percent one of the things that I was able to identify is that when you get to exceed an expectation we have mathematics we're going to

024delivery has always exceeding education at a very high number and you've always been at 70 range of foreign um English languages 9th grade 37 students to the test 18 of 126 percent of the 22845 Cocoon demand expectations eight percentage for 28 mathematics however one 31 of one from one percent of two 10.5 geometry again 93. geometry examples there was only 36 students who took that insane 17 percent of that covered purposes is the number one 42 for the other two produced we only have one student sitting for altitude and I cannot go like this probably was trying to do that because you're easy to identify so we don't want to go in front of that uh and again these statuses were taken by ninth grade so he said well what's about 10 11 123 those
025students have either met they expect agencies and moved on or with an alternative class but at this point we are specifically these days not your 10th grade or two level three but not for 12. they ain't one of the questions getting the uh well we have students who are doing extremely well and obviously yes we always will continue [Music] extremely well at the high school these tests still the scores of course does not reflect those within tendulum control so at this point that's pretty much where we are with the supercessor now um there's populations right there this um I know it's going to be difficult for you to see I want to read it uh there's a population breakdown yeah every grade and for every case and I'm not going to do all of those
026I'm just going to explain to you what it is that they're showing here and when we place these results on our website you'll be able to see through yourself okay so I'm going to move a little closer because I can't see that before I can look up but let me explain what's on here they say the population right now starting with language arts grade three first section is how many young ladies foreign and then you go to level one how many of those females or young ladies fell in your level one 20 25 how many many 27.1 percent how many young ladies were in level two four three point nine percent of how many miles probably 246 how many were another three twenty one point seven percent I mean male 60.9 percent level four how
027many younger ladies were another four we need net expectations 37.3 percent of the young lady May was 25.4 percent extended expectations 5.6 in the ladies and four percent of the government or a total medical ceiling 42.9 almost 43 of the ladies of third grade met for the season then you go to um economic disadvantage social economic how many of them were in a situation where we use uh qualifiable treatment all right so how do you get into our social security disadvantage of this thing grade three level ones is 20 percent no grade three yes 28 were economically disadvantaged in level one another two 17 were not economically disadvantaged with 21.2 were economic Ally and then you go over the course of the three twenty one point four percent were not economically this Advantage grade three
028uh 16.7 under level three growing economically disband level four with medic expectations 3.2 work at the value of this Advantage so the number of students in third grade who were not economically participated from 41.2 percent that men and exceeded expectations 34 were economically disappeared and that's the percentage that men were exceeded expectations 36 percent of the economic perspective and the next one the students with the disabilities young people who had iodu fortified the person is grade three IEPs 11-1 64.5 of those third graders to get higher leads found themselves 19.7 of those third graders and IEP um that was in level two level three 10.5 percent another four three point nine percent exceeded 1.3 percent and Network exceeding expectations 5.3 percent and that was those individuals who had diabetes the young people who did not
029have receipts 12 but it won 18 27 percent of 2 21.8 out of three forty one to six percent officially against generated suit with 41 over 60 percent 527 level five to eight the next section is the Indus random product and bravery for the English language students who are not going to sign the jobs would decide to a few percent and it goes over to each level two three four five and then pay attention and if you have a small percentage of minded students with the wine with a guy with 100 dictate one student who's alive epic great day they actually breakdown of course they want you to tell us what the state you want us to know in United States the first category is Hispanic or Latino that's what you're standing for Latino students
030how many of them were in The Lovely One 29.6 level 2 21 21 level 3 14.1 level four net expectations 31 of the five acceleration 4.2 so the numbers have Latino Or Hispanic student we had um one student in that person uh was in level one technology the next section is our Asian population none or another one another level two forty percent of guy names all right next category black will African-American 26.7 we're in level one 20 each other two 20 level three point three percent of four three percent of the five for a total of 33.3 percent the next category uh negative Hawaiian or the Pacific Islander and that person the next category is 16.4 percent of the four teen point eight percent level 2 27.9 percent number three 37.754 3.3 level five for
03141 of our white students two or more races of violation confirmation 14.7 is another one twenty point six percent is level two eighty point eight percent of the Free 41.2 level 4 14.7 3.5 so it's 55.9 56 percent of the five wages then or exceeding expectation and this goes on for everybody uh all that information will be on the website so if you want to go through Network so uh we want to move on to interventions so uh the questions what are you going to do about test food what is it that you feel we need to do in order to make some changes the information that I shared with we need to change the focus and you truly need to change that Focus so we need to look at what it is and what
032are some of the things you can change to make us put us into better school and ladies and gentlemen the information I'm going to share with you this is we're going back to faces and invasives I know it's going to make a difference foreign [Music] deal with it get it done communicate to the parents and stop all that stuff that we can deal with because it's keeping us with the maximization instructions just think about it it keeps us all there just think how much more all right Stephanie and forces students and I mean because if you don't want to be in school if you come to school you don't want to learn we're leaving we we have to get to the point where young people understand the value so if you want to come in
033the classroom late if you want to have the earphones going on you're going to need something you want to call people names you want to fight and you don't need me in school so we're going to strictly enforcist we have high school tutorial programs for those young people structure that will always have we have supplemental online programs every Sunday we're going to do the things that's necessary for us teachers want to be in the school environment or dating and they're in a situation where they don't feel safe and they're in the situation where they have an opportunity disrespected we are competing the teachings just something that we need to make sure we do things necessary for our kids this is a partnership it's a relationship you must develop a relationship with teachers and Priests [Music]
034this is this basic parenting basic preparation of Education say to your child to school prepare them now I'm going up to eight and I'm going away uh my father killed with me don't let me ask you this is the importance so clear recently this word is that I won't say in advance is if you kill your child if yes it's important all I want you to do go to school and learn go to class and listen to your keys do the day I ask you to do it simple that's all we ask we're not asking parents to be teachers we just asking us save your child was going to be prepared to learn make sure your child's study and complete co-workers made you your homework [Music] every day because it's going to be home now
035see my parents are going to be educated but they were smart about what they asked me for example they didn't ask me how to school today because they didn't ask you that they would say uh what do you do with math today what are you doing and then if I say oh you didn't tell me this is my father you need to tell me you're in school all day and you're learning and that's the answer you've been telling you in school all day did her now okay see that makes a difference because the type of questions that you have to ask support your teachers and hold your child accountable for their actions foreign [Music] relationship then the student will know that okay attended sending your child to school every day stay home and been sick
036of course the attendance is used upon the problem if you're not into a weekend that was proven with two kids half a year of birth to a full year virtue and it has been proven not only here and everywhere else in the country the children in the classrooms it's proven I mean the statistical data shows everywhere children need to be in school that seek time is important but no I spent half my time hearing why a child was a uh why did you did come to school for 20 days 60 days you only have like eight days of school but yeah okay mileage with your child's purpose yeah and the portal takes raise homework assignments things just just monitor just work with us support your child by attending back to school nights at school events
037Engineers call these industrial protein I want to help out I want to come to the school I want to walk the halls I want to be here as a man no no that's something we need that's not what we need I don't need you anymore I don't believe you at home but I tell you what I do believe together because it's not consequence you and you can touch this child needs to know that we are a team and that we're working together it's a partnership our main instances this year is the partnership I'm born that parents involved I didn't want them about proceeding back as soon as he begins keep your parents he comes phone calls he's called you and really he's going to teach you business without the he or she was calling you
038to continue for Christmas and I can always assure you that immunity and we can deal with if we can listen and fighting and it's beautiful family the Bible is really this is you didn't feel making sure we have school environment we're together from day one we had a child who doesn't want to be recycled who is disrupting called independent give us to the school tell them about the relationship and partners that we're trying to develop ment on the right track it's about the future it's about their future so if you work with us experience for those of you who will be watching us on tape these are the things I believe we have to do and if we do this we'll remember this any questions anyone you know I understand any questions yes happens yes
039let me just tell you first of all mental health issue does not necessarily childhood okay mental health issues of course can be things that occurred at home in your school some type of trauma uh they can be psychological and social whatever Community we have services available for you all around school uh how to learn the course of the training that outside agencies that's available by Mental Health Services addition at the house when they have been training to provide some episodes of services one of the things you need to do to talk to your parents you may know there's something going wrong with you or something and you can say hey could someone speak to my son today I think that's part of the partnership but the services are good even if the community is recommended
040outside of Mississippi State services will be put in place uh going to pandemic and as you know they will report is [Music] certainly I'm sorry yes I'm going to put all this information uh give me a few days and a couple things that was good levels yes well first of all it's only 36 years and um those 36 students we were able to go by go back and identify 2013 foreign oh if you did hit that one is everybody 's specifics in terms of who does he does not take the best but um here's the issue when you see one person that I don't know if we have white people with others and those things that I have to take the test they don't have a simple so you know you don't get a full
041picture of all the students but that's just the way the tests required for YouTube we can't let everyone get the best if you know some of the redemptions have been uh so far advancing being bad and they just continue they don't think it's a lot of 11 12 years as you will see on the test they don't have to sleep have family and if they get certain scores and things like that so they don't have so they've already met America yes that's why we do have young people continue to descend and connect all of those requirements this recipe and what do you speak um well Elementary the numbers were available here is all the way up all the way to the Patriots um yes um uh I would say for example of high school and
042any kind of a huge level of information professional information being shared and I know I've mentioned Mental Health Services finally District but aren't you getting that information through a hot decision for the middle schools I guess is Michigan and then you'll have certain things available you have agencies um their recommendations that teaches they identify someone and receive the results of the students who are in and getting those certain those friends from what I hear you saying is what about the parents who may not do the services prepare for your website and you know what that's consideration because we want you to use the service I mean why have yeah so cute we would definitely considerate yes I'm sorry may I am all of the third grade students taking the test so there are two tests
043for third graders okay uh depending on their needs determines whether or not you can take the New Jersey or whether they take the dynamic learning however many of the students that were eligible so I can find I hear a lot of parents names like opt out in that stuff they're not required to do that but we've actually taught you that we have very lucky because there is a lot where as the governor um okay yes sir yeah how relatively professionalism how do you how to display a role in an alcohol for me it fundamentally is important because it measures the basic fundamental schemes that those young people should have learned because every day builds upon a community we expect that young people Not only would be able to do well on state recessive State assessment
044in many cases and I'm not going to make a decision but we have found as a sister child across the country minority children or children of government children who are economically disadvantaged always should a drop or show the Lesser achievement understand United States than their blood countries it doesn't necessarily mean that if I don't do well under his test that I can Chief academically the other issue that is you talk about long-term memory versus shooting temperament before attacking the teacher in my class looking down to two people testing on this but when I sit down for a test I ask you to call long-term things that I probably haven't seen in a year I may not do it because I couldn't recall but you have to ask yourself based on that season working in the
045classroom and the assessment phrase what is the comparison some of that young people that's well some of them do now but we have also approved it but our youngest who do extremely well in the classroom academics it does show up but I also believe that if we do so many things like you saw a lot of that differences we had a higher numbers right there in it almost being expectations those youngsters we need you to do a little more with getting them over the month we also need to look at those young people who are acting in the Spectrum that's why those are Institute [Music] so yes instruction is not important but the assessments behind necessarily going to tell you the overall picture of how well consumers do because we can show proof that upon
046graduation after four years in high school Dynamics the youngest people so there's very little correlation between Liberty and coffee all right so I know today we expecting to speak I'm hoping I'm not sure about what their strategic plans for for each school to kind of get our students back on track for those little things like programs I think that's definitely a question especially for us as parents understanding are we going to have the same available at each school so all those things work divided to things so um that's always a question mark [Music] and it's not because yes and ladies and gentlemen is something that's going to be with us what is the statistics that I read was in the United States 280 000 teachers left the profession building values and if that training continues
047with magnificently we're going to need the education professors I visited several schools this summer and not a part of last school year and while sitting in uh those uh meetings large group meetings with my daughter those people have the tendency to say how many people are here or uh ball I mean you're here for engineering how many years for nurses how many years of education just not happening here's the occasion if teachers do not feel that they are appreciated if they do not feel that they are safe if they do not feel that they are respected and then they have to continue to deal with all the disruptions and the people coming up the customer about the children gospel we're gonna lose one of our teachers it's just gonna happen and at this point teachers
048can go wherever you want you absolutely don't want to work either go somewhere else so we're competing against all those students every single day in Camden County that we meet with having the same problem in the state of New Jersey and across the country they have the biggest news summary [Music] who's going to educate the future of this country if people aren't going today people are living professionally right and uh and if we had some of the research that I read almost to a person uh they said last year even with face face or any person instruction s you know you think teachers wore hats before anything down here and if you think you can go into teaching because I can't do anything else you see and he wanted you to write Jesus is difficult
049it's an honorable obsession but uh we're waiting for the character to something sometimes so that's how it happened it is a winslope is to be struggling just like everybody knows he teaches in the classroom keep them happy deal with mental health issues with them try and take things off of their places you want to be that pleasant experience and my teachers are having questions and the children but again um [Music] any other questions thank you questions uh the actuary yeah I want additional help because of the apartment yes what we have not only the state assessment we have our own in-house sessions we've been looking for test scores and just identified most difficult teachers the only thing I was getting Mr David you just posted for those after school I did for middle school or
