And that's all right, just need a motion to come out of executive session at six 30 from quote a second second from Pete all favor. I motion carry then I'll make the motion to reconvene public session and 631 is the second from Stephanie on paper. I, I motion carries, we will stand for the punch. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Anyone who has signed up for me to speak beforehand, I mean, I'm never going to be voting on today. I'm not seeing any of them. We will move to administering the oath of office to our newly appointed board member. Welcome. I, David, who's following this where I will support the
Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the state of New York and that I will be fully discharge the duty of 54 and right to pay to member. And friend setting, and well, the student board member even on North Carolina had one for a while, but they've always been senior, right? And they're a junior, right? So we're looking forward to maybe having you for two years, you can kind of, you know, get two years experience and decide you never want to write the board again, but hopefully you will change that and you'll love it and you'll be back as soon as you're good. So thank you for coming and kind of talked a little bit today in some presentations. And at the end, we usually say, you know, one of the hot topics
that you're hearing from your students, members in the high school or anywhere that you know, we might be out and about people are talking to you about. And we love to hear the students back. So don't be shy, even if you think it's a good or bad idea to want to hear it. Alright. So with that said, and our congratulations and hold of office, office done, we can control our external audit from Dr. Malachi is up and running. So we'll bring that up. And we will hear how the district's financial picture looks, which was completed, you can see June 30 2020. Thanks. Good evening, everyone. My name is Carl Woodward from Dr. Malachi. And here tonight to present on the results of the district's financial statement audit for the fiscal calendar June 30 of 2023.
We did have the chance with another member of my staff and then met with the audit committee just an hour and a half ago, we went over this in more detail. So today will be the expedited version. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to bring them up. Interrupt me if anything comes up during the presentation, but we'll get right into it. So at the end of each year's audit, what you can come to expect is, of course, the basic financial statement. That's the document that most people associate the auditors with. At the back of that financial statement is also included what's called a single audit, we do a federal compliance audit over how the district handles and spends federally that comes in and goes out. In addition to that, there's a management letter
audit communications letter, and finally, an extra classroom activity report. So the various clubs and groups at the school, they produce a separate financial statement. That's a separate issue document that goes through our audit process as well. These I didn't go over definitely in greater detail earlier this evening, but a couple that I'll point out to the full group here. The first is our responsibility as your auditors is not to create or compile the financial statements to the district's financial statements. We're hired to perform our audit. So we assess risk and design tests over the dollar amounts in the financial statements to culminate our professional opinion. That's really why we're hired. We insert on our letterhead, our professional opinion in the financial statements on whether we believe the numbers in there are fairly stated and that
they can be relied upon. So that whoever picks up that financial statement knows that they've gone through a professional audit and received an opinion from a CPA firm. So the opinion that we're prepared to move forward with, it's called an unmodified opinion. That's a clean opinion that means no modifications or adjustments to it. So it's what you should strive for a good report card if you will. The other item I want to point out is second from the bottom there is independence. So if we're going to be that group that readers of the financial statements are going to rely on to make sure those numbers are accurate, it seems pretty important that we're also independent from the district that you don't have any conflicts of interest. No, it wouldn't really be appropriate if the superintendent
was my brother, I shouldn't serve as your external auditor. So that exaggerated example there. But I think you get the point is you want someone who's unbiased and doesn't have any issues or conflicts of interest. So myself and everyone at the firm, we're free and clear, no impairments or any impacts. We'll get into just a quick highlight of how the general fund did for the district during the year. This is the last five years of revenues, your blue line versus your spending, your expenditures is the red line. Each of the last two years, you've been fortunate. We've seen one time, federal relief money be funneled through. That was a big win. This most recent year, interest earnings were actually relevant, made half a million dollars more than prior years altogether, just with interest earnings. And
also a big revenue coming in is state aid. So state aid was a lot more than the district anticipated budget process. And that resulted in a surplus or revenues ahead of expenditures for the year. Now what that means is for the year revenues came in just shy of $8 million over spending. So there's an increase of about $8 million to your fund balance. That's your equity position. And what that current year increase allowed the district to do is to fund a couple of the fund balance reserves that you've set up and authorized. So there was a big capital reserve that was authorized up to $15 million. You're able to fund that up to almost the max, but not still not yet fully funded, as well as put $500,000 into a new teacher's retirement system reserve
for future pension requirements. So that's really where the current year's positive went towards is now in the restricted fund balance, which is the red portion, the top portion. The last piece I'll communicate as far as your financials is you're subject to a real property tax law, whereas the district can't exceed 4% of the next year's budget in your unassigned fund balance. And that's the bottom portion there. So at $3.4 million, you stay within and you're compliant with that 4% limit of your unassigned fund balance. So that is the key items that we want to communicate tonight to the full group. If anybody had any specific questions, please bring them up. Otherwise, we'll be sharing draft financial statements and issuing finals ahead of October 15 is a deadline for the district. So we'll be in a
position to take care of that problem next week. Any questions? So overall, a good year. But watch it going forward about the CARES Act and some of the things that we were talking about. Yeah, I mean, I think you guys could feel the positives of that one time federal relief money, and that's that's not guaranteed into the future. Yeah. Good. So it'll help us with future capital profit. So that will be technical. So which is our next presentation. So that's a good place to be. All right. Thanks for your time. Thanks. Thank you. Thank you, sir. And next up is the capital project presentation from young and right. And just sir, the students who are here, when we do things like the new stadium outback, and you know, different things like that, we're doing a
capital project. It helps to offset that with some savings, as well as the that we get from the state to maintain the building. So it happens about every five years that the state requires every school district in New York State to have a building condition survey done. So do you need new windows? Do you need new furnaces, rooms, all that is looked at as well as program and curriculum needs that we might need to update brings for so we're at that phase now where we'll be going out for a vote this May to do some needed work in the buildings that are more infrastructure like the heating, cooling, roofing and windows. But then we're also looking at how we have our guys, the high school and some other areas throughout the school going forward, the
district going forward. So these ladies here from Young and Wright are a firm that we use to do the building condition survey, and then put together a scope of work. So the scope of work is just basically what we hope to get done in the next capital project. And they're going to share that with the board tonight. Thank you guys for having us tonight. We are from Young and Wright Architectural. We've been working with the district now since about 2020, working on starting the building condition survey and capital outlay projects for the district. And tonight we're going to be presenting your future in 2024 capital improvement project referendum. So our agenda for today, we'll do our introductions, we'll go through the building condition survey and the long term plan, the scope for the capital improvement
project, schedule and budget updates, and then any comments questions. And along the way, once again, if anyone has any questions or anything, you know, please feel free to stop us and we'll try to answer your question. Okay, so I am Ashley Jewitt. I'm an associate in Young and Wright Architectural. I'm Jill Burnett. I'm senior project coordinator in the team. So we started back in 2021 and doing the building condition survey with the district that's required by FPD every five years. From there, we went through with the district and prioritized what was the most important item from that building condition survey, which leads into what an overall long term plan is look like for the district. In 2021, you can see we did your building condition survey. There's capital outlays that have been along the way
from 2022 to 2023 with the one that we're working on now. We had the ARPA Essar grant funding, which is the air conditioning on the third floor of the high school that is just finishing up completion. And then looking to start in 2024 would actually be when your capital project would be voted on. And then once again, you can see going all the way through, we would look at doing your building condition survey again in 2026 if they're required every five years. And then moving up to 2029, that's when another potential capital project vote could happen. And all along there every year, you have your capital outlay projects. And then every year, you have also the district maintenance projects to these guys doing house. So this is a useful document using the district. So this
basically outlines all the different projects being ongoing in the district. So the left side there are capital outlay projects. These are funded by state every year, $100,000 projects. So they're on the left side. It helps us determine what that smoke is going to be, give the funds to respondent and all the maintenance projects. On the right hand side, right now we have all of the potential is built for the upcoming project, which right now is around $40 million. That's kind of the budget we had set with our lab director, our financial advisors, the district, with admin and everything like that. So right now I'm out there, you probably can't see it. We're kind of getting to the building scope upcoming here. And then this in order to kind of select the project, so obviously we
went as you said, we go to the building division scope, the items like okay, you have to the roof is failing or you need to replace do the masonry. Also along with district requested items like all these art rooms are kind of antiquated, we want to renovate the art room to the science room or the or the technology rooms. That's how we kind of go through all these different spaces to improve any of the instructional spaces, along with health, health, safety, wellness, care items, along with quote compliance, anything that the admin team has brought out to us. And where those two overlap, that's sort of where it develops their capital projects. So looking at the educational needs in the district and then building additional survey needs in the district as well. Like I said, we
kind of started the building division survey, we started meeting early this year, and kind of just started developing all these items, bringing everything together. July after one of our meetings, the district we have walked through with Greg and team is kind of good for everyone kind of just walk in, okay, this is the art room, what do you want changed? What do you see here? What do you want to see in the future? It's kind of good for everyone to be able to visualize here's the science room, technology room, what talking with teachers and stuff like that. So somewhere we verify with our district and our financial advisors, $39.9 million, kind of the budget for this upcoming project. And then I'm over here today to show you guys what's what the project scope would be.
Hopefully, that's next month, you guys be voting on this project. And then in terms of the middle school scope, in terms of like items to the building condition survey, we've identified some items that just need to be prepared, repaired upgrades the roof, windows, especially in the middle school in particular, upgrades to the pool, mechanical upgrades on the roof, thinking about heating, ventilation, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing issues, flooring. And also, I know at each building, the district also wants to provide like LED displays out front of each building, just so you can have it displayed, which is kind of a nice like PR thing too. So it'll be at each building. So the high school scope is a little over 2.7 million. And then we'll be on to the intermediate school. Don't the high school and
the middle school both have LED displays outside of the building? Yeah, the high school one's looking for an upgrade, possibly, because it's already old and it's hard to get that replacement. But it's just the middle school one is a new building. The middle school would stay the same. What happened is when we did the last project, they looked at that as the middle campus now. So it's a middle school and a high school for us, but now all that money is one pod. So you got to put it on, even though you're not going to do one in front of each. Moving into the intermediate school, we're just a little over $800,000 worth of repairs at the intermediate school. A common trend in most of the school buildings with stage rigging and auditorium upgrades, electrical
panel upgrades, some masonry work, you can see the corners and chimney on the roof, definitely need some help. The piping and replacements and installation for the toilet rooms, some work for the generator with the gas line, and then some HVAC upgrades in a few of the classrooms where they have separate legal emancipating units. If we upgrade to like high efficiency furnaces, do we still use the chimney? Like, or could it be just? The chimney is usually still used to exhaust any of the hot water boilers, like the exhaust piping still usually goes to the chimneys, but that is one thing that we can take a look at. If it's not being used, it could be taken down and just sort of capped off at the roof. But obviously, if it is still being used, you
know, the masonry would be replaced for the refrigerator. I have an old building that wants to replace the furnace. Obviously, it's just one furnace in one building, but we've done it and didn't need the chimney. Yeah, yeah. So we can we'll take a look at that when we get further into the project. And then moving into Drake Elementary, we're at around $2.3 million worth of work over at Drake. The exterior stairs at the back of the building, looking at replacing the window is both on through the cafeteria side and then in the newer edition. Roof replacement there as well as a picture in the upper right corner and kind of see how the water is ponding and sitting at one of the roof drain areas. Another common theme with most of these buildings is the
stinking cabinetry replacements in the classrooms. And then some sidewalk repairs that lead back out to the task force. And then a digital sign-up probe as well. And then at Ohio, once again, it's kind of an ongoing theme. LE display, what we talked about the same replacement you see over here, very antiquated, old, trying to upgrade all this stuff. They're pretty much the same in each building, stage rigging, a little bit of the buildings, and then some MEP upgrades, the electrical panels have been very updated. And then Spruce Elementary School, we're at $3.5 million for renovations potentially there. Same thing again, with the stage rigging and auditorium renovations, looking at fixing the issue between the windows and how the water is getting in for the masonry, how it's affecting the plaster on the walls and the
columns in most of the classrooms. So that'll probably be, you know, a bigger piece of the work for the business elementary school, just because it is going to affect, you know, so many different systems. Looking at doing toilet partition and bathroom renovations. Same thing again, replacing the old updated panel boards, some old janitor sinks, and then looking to see if there's anything that can be done to that cafeteria to slightly enlarge it. Get a little bit more square footage on there if it is so jammed that. And then same thing again with the LED signs with the roof. The transportation building. So here we really just want to kind of focus on making the building kind of making sure everything's kind of airtight, safety, security, making sure it stays dry. We're kind of just focusing
on exterior stuff here, the roof siding, that exterior overhead doors, the man doors, also with some renovations to the interior office spaces in the most rooms. And then in terms of requests and stuff that we were talking about before, kind of building addition items that will be identified with us and engineers during the building addition survey. This is kind of more of this request. So where we talk about, okay, the art rooms have been renovated since the building was original. So we kind of work here, we're kind of focused on relocating some spaces, renovating some spaces. The main target areas are art, science, technology, music, at the high school in general, along with creating a secure entry, you see there on the top left, creating a secure entry. So people walk in, they can check
in at the main office before getting access to the entire building. Also at the high school and at NTI will be cool upgrades. Also with the casting mechanical, MEP upgrades at MTI and then some site work upgrades and transportation. So those are kind of going above and beyond what was identified in the building addition survey. And so when we do your building addition survey, you know, we'll tell you exactly how your science room looks. It needs to rebuild or it needs to implore, but we don't know that the district wants to potentially like move the science rooms, you know, so they're all together in one area of the building. So that's how the district requested scope items sort of made their way onto this list. So it's, you know, more the reconfiguring of space for
the educational needs of the particular buildings or some items that, you know, like additional site upgrades of the transportation building. If it's something that's not there, we need to add more pathways or sidewalks. So that'll add up to the district requested scope. Okay, so looking at what we could do for a $39.9 million project, it would be broken out potentially into two phases. The estimated schedule for the first phase, the board would work, or I'm sorry, we worked with district to finalize scope decisions potentially through the end of October, the board will hopefully approve those in November so that the seeker can start and the legal notices can take place. Those will start in January and then go through May of 2024. The vote will be in May of 2024. And then we went after
everything about the vote, we will start our design work. That will be from June of 2024 to April of 2025. We'll submit the CD in April. Right now they have around a three to four month review time. So we're hoping that we'll get out of CD in September of 2025, which will put us in a great spot to put that out to bid in November. And then we will close the construction for the first phase in October of 2027. And then phase two, same potential schedule for the pre referendum up until the votes. And then design work would not start until after we've done the design work for phase one, phase two design work would start in this just a year later. So construction will be November 26 to October 28. And the second phase
will be closed out in December 28. And then this is just an overall bigger picture of the budget slides that are shown previously for each building, working with the district's financial advisor and capital markets, and working with the financial reserves that the district has put in place. Their overall referendum amount that would work is a $39.9 million project. Right now, the estimated building construction total is $25.5 million. And that might seem like a big jump to get up to $39.9. Looking at installation and contingencies and incidental costs, any surveys that the district has to engineer and architectural fees, any site work that's considered an incidental cost. So that's why that number jumps up from 25.5 to 39.9. And then the budget, we've said before, this would be a tax neutral project, the district has $6
million in capital reserves that's going to be dedicated to this project. So it will be tax neutral. The district currently has an 81.6% aid ratio, meaning that the state will give you back that money for every dollar that you spend on a project. And the project will be broken up into two phase borrowing. So the chart on the bottom was provided by capital markets, it kind of shows right now in blue, 20, 24, 25, 26, the district currently doesn't have any debt falling off. But then moving into 27, 28, 29, the orange bars are where the debt is falling off. So that's always one of the good spots to start a new capital project. So right now you're you're sort of going to have this thought to make sure that you have another successful capital
project. And then so pre-referendum services is what we're doing right now is pre-referendum that aims to support the vote. So like we said, we started earlier this year, kind of currently working with the district up until May of 2024. And so with the vote happens, we're working with the people team at the district with public relations, just trying to get everything out to the voters through social media, through whatever you guys need, we'll do renderings, scoping plans, stuff like any examples for the district that you've done. Just kind of create anything that you kind of get the, make sure we get the voters out there. Then obviously, again, you set the plan of voting in May of 2024. So if you guys need us, let us know. Any other questions? Thank you. Thank you, Scott.
Seems like we're adjusting. Yeah, yesterday we finished one. Yeah. All right, we will jump right into our agenda then, which is 9.1. It's recommended that the Board of Education approve the agenda order as presented. Are there any additions, deletions or changes? And that's seen as just in a motion. For Stephanie and second? All in favor? Aye. Aye. Motion carries. You will go down to 10.23. It's recommended the Board of Education approves the consent agenda as recommended by the student and the school. I'll make the motion to see a second. From Chloe, all in favor? Aye. Aye. Motion carries. 11.1, the personnel agenda. It's recommended the Board of Education approve the personnel agenda order as presented. Are there any additions, deletions or changes? And that hearing is in motion. So we'll repeat in a second? Second.
We'll repeat in a second. That's okay. I'll make a second. Well, Stephanie can have a second. All in favor? Aye. Aye. Motion carries. All right. So we're going to go down to 12.29. It's recommended the Board of Education approves all personnel items as presented. I'll make the motion to see a second. Second. From Pete, all in favor? Aye. Motion carries. And then you had, and in that group of 12.7 and 12.8, we had two teachers earning their 10-year appointment. And Christopher Hall is here, who is our special education person from 7 through 12 disabilities. So congratulations. With Brittany Stauffer. But Brittany, congratulations to Brittany as well. So thank you very much and congratulations. So that brings us to 13.1. So no new reads tonight. We're going to move through second read and then for our
next meeting, we'll provide an at-a-glance for all of the policies that we've had the opportunity to walk through to date in this first year review so that you have an idea as far as everything has been touched, adapted, changes, and then what we have remaining to move to this initial audit. So first is a second read for 71.30. The entitlement to attend the aging residency. Reason again for these updates, as we've reviewed last time, to account for undocumented children and then the emergency rule that was then added to the regulations for 100.2 in the commissioner's rights. We didn't have any questions or outstanding items during the first reading. 71.32, non-resident students. We didn't have any questions from our first read. Just a reminder that we did add the language with written request from the parent
or guardian as part of the specifications for the child who moved out of the district and the parent is requesting that they remain here for the remainder of this year. Education of students in foster care. There was some added language as far as tuition reimbursement and how that aligns with the education law. Again, we didn't have any questions from our first read. 72.40. Student record, access and challenge. So there were a couple of removals to this really in regard to videotaping student teachers because no longer a requirement for certification process. There was a change from using the word neglect to male treatment so that it aligns with regulation. And then there was the added list of the exceptions that really outlined the for health component here. So those were added pieces that we didn't have
outstanding questions during the first reading. 72.42. We did need to adjust pronouns on the policy for second read. And so those pronouns have been adjusted. So there are any else that we changed from our first read to second. Okay, so they did, they simplified all of the laws. So our initial policy had references to 1965 and NCIP, you know, child left behind and then outdated. So it was really the removal of that after then simplify what's required. 73.30. So this one, if you would, you can see in red, what we were missing, we had the wrong attachment last time. So we included this again. So this involves the searches and interrogations of students, we added in the screening from detectors to align with their use of detection systems in the district. Then under the strip
searches, we review that subjective statement. So you can see the straight through there. And then right there, replacement language for computers, and then making each of those pieces plural throughout that statement as far as things that might be searched. And last one, 72.60. We didn't have any outstanding questions on this one. This was really law based as far as the ability to to designate a person other than the parent or guardian as that person. And it was a movement in law from six months to 12 months. So the threshold used to be six months, and now it is 12 months. And so that has been updated, as well as there's a section that didn't designate what is required for this authorization to take place. Don't have anything on any of those. Awesome. Yeah, thank you
very much. All right, so we'll go to 13.8. The Board of Education approves all secondary policies in section 13 as presented. I will make the motion to see a second. I heard Christopher's. All in favor? Aye. Motion carries. Recognition. So the middle school this year and Dr. Sleeve can work this summer to get bring in different organizations to work and do a student professional development day and ran the kids through it for a week each team had a day. And so they just wish to thank publicly the following community partners for their involvement in middle school fall student professional development week. Lindsay Stover, North Point Council and Community Health Alliance, North Kenewanda. Megan Furey, University of Buffalo Institute of Trauma and Trauma Informed Care. Tony Cherry, University of Buffalo, El Verde Center, and Eric Herbert,
North Kenewanda Police Department. I know that they are planning a spring one as well. It went so well with additions to like the El Verde Center and some other people coming in to present and lists and different organizations like that to kind of expand it out. So very well received from the students. And we are thanking them all personally, but we also wanted to do that for meeting as well. So thank you to all those people who came in and spent their week with us to educate the middle schools. Oh, there's two more. Yeah, sorry. Hamley and Liberty Partnership and Michelle Berners from New York. I'm sorry. That's why it should be on the computer. I shouldn't be on the paper, right? I do not currently have any updates. But I believe NISBA is the
annual conference. Yep. And then so I'll make sure to update them for everybody who attends and also make sure to update the board goals. I am looking forward to the summary that you provide about policies, because then I will be able to put that into the proposals as well. I think that'll be a good summary to put there because listing each one out has been a lot. I'm going to run out of space. Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna run out of space. Yeah. And the open house visits, the radio shout out that we've been here. Our work with the restorative circle that you guys went through. So yeah, there's a lot we can update to the board goals as far as what you've been working on. And so that we can see that in addition to
the thousand goals of policy. All right. Thank you, Stephanie. Next, anyone in the public that wishes to speak on any topic? All right, not seeing any. Mr. Whittill, anything you'd like to say before we go around the Well, I know that we welcome again to our student board member, you know, if you have any comments, we'll come around to you in a minute. But if not, we hope to hear from you more at future meetings. We do have a ribbon cutting coming up for a bicycle skills course that donated to us through the neighborhood watch, NT neighborhood watch committee, and it'll be Wednesday, October 18 at NTI. So there's lots of giveaways of bike helmets. I just heard today that there's going to be a bike giveaway as well and some other things. Food Service
is going to donate some chips and water so we kind of have a nice ribbon cutting for that on the 18th. You'll hear more detail about the capital project. We're very excited to put that out for a vote going forward. So those are some of the hot topic ones. I know we had all our open houses that were very well attended by staff and community and it went very well. We have a number of ball fests and trunk retreats and color run coming up tomorrow and one of our last nice days. That's really nice. And then tomorrow is our first NT Niagara Falls collaboration that we are continuing to have stamina to get together and work on. They will be coming here and we will be going to the North Carolina History Museum and then
to one of our parks on the river and doing a lot more team building with them. Still doing a field trip but then a lot more conversation around diversity, equity and inclusion with them. And so we're looking forward to that. It will be tomorrow from 10 to 1. And then we go next week to Niagara Falls with the Underground Railroad Museum and then the same kind of the tour. We redesigned it this year after last year and feedback from the kids who participated. First of all, we have some younger middle school students joining us that we hope will continue with the group for a number of years. And then they wanted more time to talk with each other and get to know each other. And then they were once every couple of months. And so
now we're doing two week to week back to back so they can get to know each other then a month break and then two back to back so that it's not so long in between because some of that knowledge gets lost over time. So we redesigned it. We're excited to get it started. So that starts tomorrow. Again, let's start again. Great. I have a lot. Perfect. Let's go. Okay, cool. So the Work-Based Learning Program at the High School has kicked off already. So as many of you know, the Beacon Brokers are participating in that. So we have four students who come every week, two on Monday, and then two on Wednesday, they come with a job coach, and they get a lot of work done, very productive. And we love having them in the store.
So excited to see that continuing on this year. I view the Work-Based Learning classrooms, and the lumberjack loft and how the Work-Based Learning students participate in the school store, Mrs. Bernania talking through all of that at the high school open house. So they really are utilizing the space and resources at the high school to teach those kids a lot and get them their status requirement for graduation. At the high school open house, I spoke with a tutor in the Reach Rise program. And I want to mention her because she said that she has never seen a school district with so many pathways to graduation. So MT should feel very proud about that. MT's open house was very nice. It was very interactive. The students had like a scavenger hunt that they had to do. So
that was really cute. I wanted to welcome the student member. Always very exciting to have a new student member on the board. Wellness Committee starts October 17, if anybody wants to join us. And I'll update on that soon. And I spoke with Howard the other day from the NT History Museum. And he's very excited to have the students there. So I know that they will learn a lot about NT's history. Very passionate. And then so you never know, you do come back sometimes. One school related thing and whatnot. I went to the spruce open house. I had a great time. They also were doing a type of scavenger hunt. And I was there for the third graders. They did a musical number called I am a pizza. And I just really, really enjoyed it. So
I'm thankful I went and I had a great time. And and then I also just want to say I'm proud of the NT market because we were voted number one farmers market in the country. And I thought that was really cool. And I have been bragging about it to everybody at work. So that's it. Thank you. I went to NT open house. It was again, they did have some scavenger hunt going on as well. So that was nice. Everybody it was just so good. The hall were packed and everybody was so happy and the kids were so excited. And it was a great feeling to be there just in that moment. Welcome to the board as student members color run. I'll be there tomorrow. So congratulations on tenure and special ed. Awesome. peanut butter jelly
drive, peanut butter jelly drive. Please bring in the PB and J and I need to bring in PB and J. Yes, congratulations to the board member and congratulations on tenure. I also attended high school in Dallas. There was no scavenger hunt and a little bit appointed. You know, it was I just thought it was an awesome environment. But everybody was so welcoming. The parents and teachers and staff was just super engaging. It was just a good mantra and feeling right throughout the game building. So it was jam packed the entire night, stayed pretty late. And then I walked over to the Washington. So on that was that was really cool. And I was telling you, I think this year is a different feeling than last year in a good way. Right? There's a lot of
positive going on in the first year. But I think everybody's experience about I'm saying like that. All right, David, I mean, that's what you have a spot on your first first day here. Anything you want to share with the board or the group? Oh, thank you. Well, having a good small congratulations. Thank you. Yeah, well, welcome. Yeah, we're happy to have you. Like Gary said, you know, who knows one day, you know, when we're all old and we need replacements, which is pretty now. So no, welcome. Happy to have you like that. You know, like that's really cool. It's that exciting to hear some insights and some things, you know, that are going on has always been a hallmark of our student members and really get an idea of what's happening instead of, you know,
these, these guys telling us what's actually students. So that's all I have. We'll keep anyone any longer. So with no further business to come before the Board of Education, just in a motion to adjourn at 7 15. From Chloe and I'll second it. All in favor? Aye. Motion carries. Anyone needs their sheet signed any of us up here can sign. Thank you, Glenn.
