open it up to the whole floor. Okay good evening everybody tonight is an exciting and important moment for central bucks as we come together to officially confirm Dr. Joanna Wexler as our next superintendent from the very beginning of this process Dr. Wexler's resume stood out her extensive and comprehensive background in special education immediately caught our attention this is an area where strong leadership and deep expertise are not just valuable but essential and her experience her experience will help round out what is already an exceptional executive leadership team of dedicated educators but what truly set Dr. Wexler apart was how she showed up at every single stage of the interview process she brought confidence clarity and a genuine sense of purpose she consistently demonstrated her experience her collaborative and supportive leadership style and her deep commitment

to student success both academically and emotionally speaking of showing up we saw that once again at last week's community forum hosted in partnership with the Bucks IU Dr. Wexler did not shy away from tough questions she met each one with confidence grace and authenticity it was clear that she says what she means she means what she says and that kind of honesty and transparency is not only refreshing but very much welcomed I want to commend you Dr. Wexler for showcasing yourself and your experience with poise and sincerity it's clear that you've trained to run marathons because your stamina last Wednesday was truly impressive I for one deeply value a leader with a strong moral compass and a clear set of principles that they will not compromise Dr. Wexler demonstrated exactly that while also making it

abundantly clear that she's collaborative leader who seeks input values voices of our students families educators staff and community when making decisions and moving initiatives forward she will be a visible presence across our district in our schools in our classrooms and in our community she understands that leadership is not about sitting behind a desk but about being present listening and engaging central bucks is a special place and it deserves a leader who will both honor its strengths and help guide it forward with integrity compassion and vision and I'm confident that dr Wexler is that leader I'm proud to support her appointment and truly excited for what's ahead for central bucks under her leadership thank you any other comments tonight's vote is not an easy one for me an impressive resume and very valuable experience I thought

she interviewed very well firmly believe however that being our superintendent requires experience in the role of superintendent and I also place a high value on experience in the classroom I really struggled with my decision but I eventually decided that my vote should reflect my beliefs and unfortunately I will be voting no this evening that being said I desperately hope that dr Wexler proves me wrong with my vote I love this district very much and we really need stability and leadership to recover from the turmoil that we've had for the past few years and I want to say that I'm fully committed to working with dr Wexler in all ways and I will support her work completely thank you any other comments okay Heather can you hear me I can just yes I just wanted to

say I assumed dr Wexler's in the audience and I'm sorry that I could not be there in person to cast my vote but I am very excited for your tenure to begin with our district and I look forward to working with you thank you any other comments okay hearing none I can't repeat the motion was uh stepped by mr Herring seconded by mrs Foley all in favor aye aye you should probably do a roll call vote just so we're oh you can do a roll call vote aye aye mrs Gibson aye mr Herring aye mr Kimikata aye mrs ochre aye mrs sniff no yes um so that was any abstention so no right yeah I know okay okay uh so the vote carries motion carries eight one and with that congratulations dr Wexler dr Wexler

is indeed in the audience tonight and I think I heard that you would like to make a comment or two and say a few words we'd love to have you thank you so much for um trusting me and putting confidence me in me as your next superintendent I am um incredibly honored um incredibly excited and I think these next two months for me are going to be hard because I just want to get here and start leading the good work and working with all the wonderful people um I would say since Wednesday and even a little bit before that the reach out the text the messages on LinkedIn from staff and the welcomes thus far has been truly incredible and that is just I'm not even here yet and I'm already feeling that that sense

of welcome and belonging so thank you for that um I also want to thank dr Malone for his leadership he has been leading through a significant time and I would wanted to say that to you directly tonight um again I'm honored to serve and really I'm looking forward to spending a little bit of time as much as I can before I officially start because I do have some time that I can take and I think my current district will be amenable to that so um so thank you thank you very much that would bring us to our second public comment period and with that I am not going to reread what I've already read those same um rules if you will um do apply so um all right Larson Doyle's down you may step up

to the podium thank you congratulations dr Wexler and the school board my issue are two things taxes and infiltration you raise the taxes again six percent if you do that compounded over 10 years of the 75 increase I offered that when Sarah Tomlinson was here when uh tomorrow was here to actually help you as a civil that you know to audit the finances I have 25 years experience in running a business an MBA in finance and IT I can help you find it I'll give you two examples one is ARA services okay started with uh you know I forget the former doctor uh they basically fired people because they protested um down at January 6th all right so there's no there's a little bit of bias there the other one laid law that I'm it's

now for a student that's the brafman syndicate mega why are you giving school bus leases contracts to those guys I know why I started because the tom corbett you know his ties to waste management system that's how it came about why are you doing it now why do we pay mega for that the other one as we heard it you know with the lawsuit you know we're going to hear problems with you know if you don't need insurance to pay for well look what happened in Florida yeah the Florida insurance companies paid for the event weather events now what all the people who own properties are getting you know the prices are going through the roof for insurance infiltration the issue with the infiltration is for instance the make-a-wish foundation in cb east set up

by alvin malnach okay if you look at alvin malnach memories who's his two best friends there one is Meyer Lansky one of the founders of crime syndicate and frank sinatra who's frank sinatra's next-door neighbor walter anaberg americanmafia.com article 194 how they set up the crime syndicate his father did that okay that's mr no child left behind the other ones we had to be aware of infiltration in our schools it's been going on for decades you have for instance the anabergs running university penn they run usc okay oh who says understudy linfest he runs columbia university and then you got wexler okay expose the enemy.com he runs a kent state university remember four dead on ohio so you have to be aware there's a big problem with organized crime attacking our schools what's the outcome jeffrey

asked privatizing the school putting all the costs back on us taxpayers done um jason o'donnell buckingham you're up next good evening everybody um so i've got three kids in the district uh i've got a son who's at holocong uh in eighth grade and then uh zander and my my two kids identical twin girls are cold spring and we've been very happy with our experience i wanted to offer some comments on dei i know it seems a little bit uh maybe disconnected from the events of tonight but i think i just want to kind of take this opportunity given the change in uh leadership at the superintendent position uh to sort of potentially influence some of the ideological sort of frameworks that the board uses to create policy um specifically i would recommend that that board

members discontinue incorporating the ideas of diversity equity and inclusion or dei into their speeches and policy uh this includes references to inclusive inclusivity and that on its face sounds maybe a little jarring to many in this this room uh given how positive that the context of those words sort of seem at a 10 000 foot level while educational and corporate leaders often use these terms with good intentions the implementation of these ideas and organizations has often uh often has highly immoral consequences uh and i've witnessed this i've experienced this firsthand because there's so much baggage that comes with these words political baggage they also tend to create confusion around what is being communicated for example if you had two similarly qualified candidates for a position but you chose to hire one of the candidates over

the other because of their race or gender you you might be promoting diversity and equity under the definitions established by dei the problem in the scenario is that you made a decision not to hire someone meaning the candidate you didn't hire on the basis of their color their skin or their gender and i'm going to repeat that the problem in the scenario is that you've effectively declined to hire somebody on the basis of their race or gender so to be clear this is the definition of discrimination and it should be avoided at all costs no matter how good your intentions are in embracing dei and as i decide politically you know i'm a centrist i'm not far left or far right and most of my friends in the in the community uh that are centrist

agree 100 with me when we hear these terms it's it's it's uh it conjures up a lot of these issues so instead what i would encourage the board to do is to speak and act in ways that are completely blind to race gender religion and sexual orientation this means not considering any of these factors in your processes to mandate uh and to mandate that district employees do the same this blindness should be applied to hiring should be applied to firing promotions the way district staff members conduct themselves when schools and corporations create policies that tend to favor one identity group over another there are usually unintended consequences in the form of increased resentment among some people it is my opinion that the prolonged period of racial tension in this country is largely attributable to the

fact that we as society tend to unnecessarily elevate the importance of race with the end result being increased resentment and a perpetuation of discrimination i'd like to see a central box school district that is laser focused on education and that leaves identity politics outside the school system before we move to adjournment i just want to make an announcement that the next meeting is april 23rd and that will be held at cb west at 7 p.m so we were here tonight but we will be at cb west on april 23rd at 7 p.m and with that motion to adjourn so moved moved by mr herring second seconded by mrs o'connor all in favor you got one before yeah all in favor aye aye okay motion passes nine zero thank you
