All meetings are begin at 7 p.m. There are no uh meetings in July. The December 7th reorganization
meeting will begin at 7 p.m. immediately followed by the combined agenda study session and regular business meeting. >> Do we need to vote on this or >> um the last three items we can move on? Okay. Sorry. Um next we have authorization for proper signatures. Authorization is given to any required change of signatures on all bank accounts and to execute signature cards as necessary to implement this action. Also faximile signatures the use of faximile signatures of the board president, board secretary and board treasurer is authorized for signing checks. I move on these three items. >> Second. >> Thank you. Any questions or comments on the um meeting schedule or the signatures? >> May May, there's only one meeting and that's the beginning of our debates with the uh budget. So that's that's really hard. >>
Yeah, that's a good question. >> Is there a reason why that meeting is combined instead of two separate meetings? >> Is that typical, Dr. Well, Jack? It just depends on how it falls. Um >> I think that we had a combined meeting this year and so we copied the calendar. >> It has it has been combined the past few years. >> We've had extra budget information. >> Yeah, we've had extra budgeting. >> We we had a >> we end up scheduling it. But I just wanted to make sure because >> where it was a consecutive meeting, we had a budget >> committee of the whole I think that one's in April where we do the >> we can add the comm. 014Yeah, >> that's a good point. >> But thank you for bringing that up. >> And I'll just make note of the the adjustment this year to the LGI room as a consistent location for board meetings. I think that's worth noting. >> Yes. >> Which is a change from our current practice which is to go to the different buildings across the district. >> Yes. >> Uh except for the June meeting where we usually have a lot of guests that will be in the high school auditorium. Any other questions or comments? >> Yes, I do prefer moving them around to other buildings. I know the headaches it it creates, but I'm also in favor of majority rules, so I'll accept it. Okay. >> I think it's important for board members to see a building perhaps when it's
repaired or or those kind of things. But I'm in favor of majority vote, so >> yeah, I think I was the one that brought it up the last reorganization meeting. I don't think our time was used well. When we went to other meetings, we would just walk into a common area. >> We didn't get tours or meet more people. There weren't more people who attended. >> I don't know. And for the technology where we we did receive a lot of comments that the technology wasn't as good in the other rooms, >> so they couldn't hear online and things too where it's set up more for this room and it's also an additional expense for the district to set up in other spaces. I would love more opportunities to go into school buildings though. suggested things
like meet and greets or things where we can actually interact with the communities um instead of just performing a meeting in another room. >> Yeah, >> I think that's important at Batty too. We need to make sure we are >> visiting Batty was worthwhile because they they showed approp we got to a little bit of a tour >> and to ask questions. >> I did um tell Dr. Rejack we still want to go to Batty >> um every other year I think is what was suggested. So I did uh let Dr. railjack know that. >> Okay. Yeah. The accessibility online accessibility issue is with the for my mind for that issue. And then um >> yeah, I think the the the number of community events that our board has been to in the last year,
possibly as a result of this very discussion was four or five times what it was in past years. So I think >> getting out in those capacities is um when the building is full um really matters. >> I think I would tend to agree with Mr. Frank that I like the opportunity to be in the other buildings, but I'm happy to uh move forward with this version and see how it goes for this year and then reassess. >> Sure. >> Okay. >> Mrs. Music, will you please call the role? >> Mr. Hamilton, >> yes. >> Dr. Hasselhorn, >> yes. >> Mrs. Lynch, >> yes. >> Miss Sitch, >> yes. >> Mrs. Cooper, >> yes. >> Miss Dad, >> yes. >> Miss Finley, >> yes. >> Mr. Friend, >> yes. >> Mr. Good, >> yes. Motion
carries. Thank you. It's time for our second public comment period. We do not have anyone signed up. Um board comments. Does anyone have any comments since we have another meeting following this? Okay. Since since most of our crowd leaves immediately after the awards, uh it's a great opportunity right now to say congratulations to our athletes and parents who have had the the the greatest fall in Fox Chapel history as far as accomplishments. And I'll just say in closing, congratulations to our board members who were reelected. And for those of you who put yourself forward for additional responsibilities, thank you very much. Could I have a motion to adjurnn? >> So move. >> Second. >> All in favor? >> I. >> Meeting adjourned. And now I will call to order the combined agenda study and regular
business meeting for December 2nd. We need to do the pledge again. Can I skip that or do we need to do it again? >> Please, excuse me. Please rise for the pledge of allegiance again. practice to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> Mrs. Anus, will you please call the role? >> Mrs. Cooper, >> here. >> Miss Dad, >> here. >> Miss Finley >> here. >> Mr. Frank, >> here. >> Mr. Good >> here. >> Mr. Hamilton >> here. >> Dr. Mr. Hasselhorn >> here. >> Mrs. Lynch >> here. >> Miss Zitch >> here. >> Nine members present. >> Thank you. Dr. Reja, could you introduce all of our wonderful guests? >> We are
so pleased to have so many guests here and thank you for waiting while we did our reorganization meeting. Uh there are a lot of things to celebrate here in Fox Chapel School District. And tonight, we'd like to celebrate some of our students and their accomplishments. Uh first, I'd like to invite uh Fox Chapel Area High School boys assistant soccer coach, Dr. Chris Sai who is here to introduce the members of the team that won the whipio and section titles and qualified for the state playoffs. Thank you um everybody. Thanks to the board for recognizing us. The uh the boys had a fantastic season. Um we won the whipples um for the second year in a row which uh in our class 4A it's really quite difficult to do. Um and they did it uh with
grace and style. Um we went undefeated in the section which again is very hard to do in our section with uh some bigger schools, Senica and North Alagany. Um but our boys um really just did a great job and uh very proud of them. Um I think they're really everything that you would want a Fox Chapel student athlete to be. They're respectful. They're fun. Uh and they work super hard and they're they're super dedicated. So, um congratulations to the boys. Um there's a few of them here. I'll just uh ask them to come up uh for their certificates. Joey D Martino. Round of applause. I guess a lot of them are busy tonight. Anybody want to do the pledge of allegiance again? Uh, Nick Squaly, Michael Winter, uh, let's see. Levi Amster, Landon Madden, Ethan
Banana, and uh Rowan Fincher. Well done, boys. Thank you very much. And I want to add our congratulations to our boys soccer team. It was exciting to watch their season. It was exciting to see them play in the Whipio playoffs on Halloween in uh a cold night, but a fun night. And uh we congratulate them for their hard work and most importantly for being the student athletes that they are. Uh, next I'd like to introduce high school girls soccer booster club member Stephanie Wilkinson, who's going to be introducing members of the girls soccer team, who also won their whipio and section titles and qualified for the state playoffs. Thank you guys for this. Um, Coach Carlo couldn't be here tonight, so he sent me a message to just read for the girls. Um, but he's
honored to announce the girls soccer team. The incredible group has now reached three whipio finals in a row and have won two of them along with back-to-back section titles. Um, the other only other championship win was back in 1985. So, >> it's pretty impressive. Um, each one of these girls has played a huge part in that success and we're so proud of everything they've accomplished. So girls, if you just want to stand up here, I'll just read the names of everyone on the team and then if you are here, you can grab your up. Okay. So we have Mave Barsford, Cassie Clawson, Summer Hill, Lily Hunkley, Emily Kchinski, Sabina Mantella, Lily Mclaclin, Mera Owens, Marilyn Picarik, Lauren Bachmann, Elise Dressman, Ella Edinger, Antonia Lindswine, Emily McKe, Leah Ia Pazella, Kaylee Wilkinson, Taylor Wilkinson, Mattea Basil,
Paige Capeek, Viviana Damino, Gemma Levy, Ava Stackhouse, Ava Henderson, Riley Kessing, Giana Lefacus, Hanley, Cara, Sarah, and Hie Westbrook. So, congrats. >> Thank you guys. >> Thank you. And it was exciting to watch our girls team play. It was uh rainy at the Whipio uh playoffs. I don't I don't think rain is actually the word. It was sort of a downpour and they persevered through it and we're proud of them. I think the other nice thing is how many students came out to support both our boys and our girls team as well as the next team that I'm going to introduce. Um, I'd like to introduce the field hockey head coach, Kelly Kriby, who is here to introduce the members of the field hockey team that also won their section Whipfield titles and qualified for
the PIAA playoffs. >> All right, good evening. Um, thank you so much to the board for acknowledging our team's accomplishments this season. We're super grateful for the recognition and we're very proud to be here representing Fox Chapel Filaki. Um, our goal from the beginning of the season was very clear. We were determined to win the woodfield championship. And this team not only accomplished that, but they did it with a fantastic journey and just a really great season overall. They finished the regular season 113 and three playing just strong, consistent hockey that we're all really proud of. Um, and they definitely demonstrated that their success was earned and not an accident. Um, I do want to give a special acknowledgement to our captains, Brooke, Avery, Adia, Emma, and Katie. They set the tone super early that
this year they were winning. They've gone and lost a couple times. They were determined that this year would be different and it was. Um, their commitment and the way they led with intention, consistency, and heart just really changed uh the trajectory of the season. So, I'm very excited to present you guys with your certificates. If you guys all want to come up and I'm going to read all the names. So I want to start with our seniors, Adia De Joya, Avery Jones, Emily Kitner, Charlotte Ratner, Katie Sitins, Emma Schrods, Brooke Teal, and then our juniors, Kate Pastor. Sorry guys, am I echoing Mel Pets, Ava Treantina, Ava Wgley, our sophomores, Mia Carl, Leah Festa, Maggie Clamoth, Alice Mciel, and Emily Olivesson. And then our freshman, Michaela Olirri, Tatum Patrick, and Paper Shireina. Thank you. It
was certainly an exciting fall and we have three wonderful teams here. What was also exciting is after all the teams won their uh the Whippy old championship, they all had a day that they could play the first round of playoffs here at Fox Chapore High School. It was a busy day where we hosted three playoff uh games, but it was an exciting day and uh we're very proud of all of our students and their athletes. We also want to thank um student athletes and we also want to thank all of their parents uh because we know it is hard work and we appreciate that as well as their coaches and the boosters and all of those that help make it possible. So, thank you all for being here. That concludes the guests. >> Okay. Thank
you and congratulations to all of our teams. There's a whole group of them that play multiple sports. Um Emily McKe is on the basketball court right now and um one of the young ladies we just honored who kicked the winning goal in the WFL championships is one of the best on the girls wrestling team and the MVP for the WP for field hockey is also one of the uh the best wrestlers we have on the team. So a lot of them play multiple sports which is great to see and are also great students. So it's great to see. Okay, next we have our Fox uh leadership council student rep, Ella Goolum. Hello, my name is Ella Gollum and I'm a junior here at Fox Chapel. Unfortunately, Anley Good, my other half who's the other teleathon
coordinator, is not here as she's cheering for the boys basketball team tonight. But we're both really excited for the teleathon season and we're really excited to highlight what our goals are for this year. So over the last 35 years, students in the Fox Chapel Area School District have donated an extraordinary 1,278,496. And just last year for Backpacks for Hungers, we donated $90,228. This year, across all six schools, we're aiming higher than ever with a goal of raising over $100,000 to support Fox Families Care, which is an organization founded in 2019 that has already helped hundreds of students. And they can access this help through people in the school such as nurses, counselors, and other people. And we even have a room here at Fox Chapel that at the high school that's able to help them.
And here, more specifically, at the high school, every club participates in the fun and meaningful fundraisers from hot chocolate and bake sales to raffle baskets along with a multitude of tournaments such as the pickle ball tournament, the dodgeball tournament, bad minute, badmitten, and we're having a Clash Royale tournament, which this year, which is new, and larger events also are an RC car race we're having this year, Foxfest with performances from the busking club, our lunch funday on the 22nd, and the big check reveal, which will all add to the excite excitement of this season and we're so excited for Telthon season and truly appreciate everyone's support in this time of giving. >> Thank you. >> Dr. Rejack, do you have a superintendence report? >> I do have a superintendent report this evening. It is my
pleasure to introduce Dorsyville Middle School program principal Dr. Laura Miller, who is here to introduce Dorsyville Middle School, uh a DMS counselor and a teacher, as well as some students who are going to talk about the newly created student ambassadors program at Dorsyville Middle School. So, Dr. Miller, I'll let you take away uh the next part of this. >> Thank you, Dr. Eljek. Good evening, everyone. Hopefully, you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and a nice break and the snow today treated everyone well and everyone got around safely. Um, it's a privilege to be here tonight to highlight more exciting work that is happening at Dorseyville. I am especially proud to recognize two of the dedicated staff members, Mr. Craig Reinhardt and Mr. Ethan Wagner, who have spearheaded a significantly new initiative. Over the last year uh
we have been analyzing our feedback in detail from the association of middle level education and also our schools to watch feedback and throughout that analysis we determined that there was a need to create more opportunities to cultivate leadership skills among our students. So Craig and Ethan have been the driving force behind bringing this vision to life through the creation of our new student ambassadors. I will turn it over to both of them to introduce the remarkable students that are so excited to do anything and everything that we ask them to do and they'll share a little bit more about their experience. Thank you. >> Uh good evening everybody. Certainly want to thank Dr. Miller of the board, Dr. McCollins, Dr. Eljac for the opportunity to really uh highlight some awesome work that the students are
doing and really the opportunity to as Dr. Miller sort of just kind of previewed a little bit. Um, we've sort of been kind of reflecting on how we can even get better as a middle school at Dorsyville. We we've been very fortunate to to earn a lot of awards both nationally and regionally and in the state recently and uh sort of one of the most common things that we keep hearing is giving the opportunity for students to sort of take that next step in terms of leadership. And that's really sort of where this initiative of ambassadors came from. Also sort of playing on what the high schoolers do with their ambassadors program. sort of having a little bit of a crossover there. So, um really we kind of wanted to give, you know, an opportunity
for students to sort of take a little bit more of the onus on themselves in terms of creating and fostering this this environment um that I think is a really positive culture that you see when you walk down the halls of Dorsyville and give them the opportunity um to sort of welcome in their new peers and to sort of be the driving force of making sure everyone feels, you know, safe, comfortable, accepted, and welcomed um at DMS. And so, um, really this was born out of the idea to give a student's perspective on that while also giving them the opportunity, um, to to really, um, you know, show what it is and what it means to be a student at Dorsyville Middle School. Uh, Mr. Reinhardt um is going to talk a little bit about
how we went through the application process and eventually the selection process for some of the students that we have here tonight. >> Thank you for a chance to come and speak about ambassadors tonight. Um, just to talk about the application process. When we first launched this, we really didn't have a strong idea of how many students we were going to have interested. And I'm so glad that we had this kind of format in place to really help us narrow down and kind of bring kids in who are very, very interested. So, from the get-go when we launched, we came with an application that looked at a number of issu a number of kind of features of our students. We looked at their grades. Um, we looked at any sort of major infractions on their discipline
record. We asked students to write some short essays for us. We asked them to get some teacher recommendations, which was probably one of the first times kids had to go out and seek recommendations for teachers for for a program like this. Um, we really were overwhelmed by the number of students who were interested and came out and wanted to to be involved in making Dorsville more a more positive place, have more to develop more positive school climate and also become leaders within our school that we ultimately took those applications and we created a point system to try to be as objective as possible. Um, it really was difficult. I don't know how coach we just had all our coaches present. I don't know how you narrow things down to get a team. We had so
many wonderful kids who wanted to be involved. It was hard for me as a counselor to kind of turn anybody away. So trying to be as objective as possible was very very important to the process. Um, one thing that we did want to make sure that we took into account as we kind of brought this program to life was representation because representation matters for our students, for our staff, for our building. And so we did our best to take all the interest students and distribute it distribute those who accepted evenly amongst the grades. We did our best to um also bring as many um diversity amongst the genders. We had a lot more of our female student body invol more involved in the males but um we wanted to bring everyone who wanted to want
to be interested as far as that. Um we wanted to look at our teams because at Dorsyville being on teams is a very important aspect of our school. So we make sure that we had an equal number amongst the all of our teams in each grade. Um, of course we looked at our special education, regular education, gifted education students. Um, we also want to look amongst our community. Do we have representations from each one of the the aspects of Fox Chapel community as part of this program? And finally, we made a lot of effort to bring in new students. A lot of times kids come into Dorsyville and they're looking to find a home and get involved. And so if we had new students who really were showing this, we make sure that we brought
them in as well. So representation very very important to us and was an aspect of this process. >> And so once we sort of put some information out there kind of advertising to what students what they may expect to be a part of once they uh were interested if they interested in applying to this we were really overwhelmed as Mr. Reinhardt sort of suggested there by by the amount of students that showed an interest. Uh we had our firstformational meeting just with some sort of basic information in late September. We actually got 117 students in Dorsyville, which is just around a thousand students total. Um, so pretty good numbers. Um, show up and ask for an application. We distributed them. From them, we got 88 students, went through the application process, showed that initiative to
kind of go out there and get those teacher recommendations, fill out the essays, and submit them. And from there, we ended up accepting 46 students. Um, again using a lot of the sort of diverse pool um, criteria and ideas that u, Mr. Reinhardt just outlined. Um, here are some photos of our first meeting. We actually meet um, every other week during the grade level lunches. So we have a meeting for our sixth grade ambassadors, our seventh grade ambassadors, and our eighth grade ambassadors. Um each meeting we really try to have an open forum for students to come and bring any issues that they see as ambassador business to the table discuss and see how we can get involved and try to to bring some positivity to whatever is going on here in the school. Um
we also take and the opportunity each mean to kind of talk about what is our our primary goals like what what are we really focused on? We are focused on welcoming new students representing Dorsyville. Well, um we also are involved in giving prospective parent tours for those who want to come and and see a tour of the building. So, these are the things we've really been training on as as far as our meetings thus far. Um I will say um our our meetings are always packed. It's great to have everybody in there each week. Um and I think students really enjoy coming to talk and meet as a group every other week as well. And I think maybe one of the most obvious things is what is all our students ambassadors actually involved in. So,
uh, this is just sort of a snapshot of some of the activities that we've either been involved with or continuing to sort of investigate our involvement with. Um, new student and family tours, whether that was in the summer with new students sort of moving into the district or uh maybe coming up from the fifth grade into the sixth grade to sort of learn the how the building works. Uh we h had a number of students come in over the summer, believe it or not, and actually offered their time over summer break to show students and families around. Uh again, move up day, 143 day, it's an event that happens in the fall or in the spring and May at DMS. It's again another great opportunity for uh rising sixth graders, students that will become sixth
graders next year, um to come and sort of do a sort of an evening late afternoon of activities. Uh our ambassadors will be a part of that. again, summer tours and open houses, curriculum night. We had many students um come out for curriculum night both at the sixth grade curriculum night and the seventh and eth this year to again try to help parents um who may be new to the Dorsyville um be able to navigate the building. And then uh upcoming on Martin Luther King Day, the Trezy conference. Um we do have an opportunity for student ambassadors to be involved with that um showing um sort of DMS and how to get to different places throughout the building um coming up here in um the not too distant future for different you know educational leaders
from across the the region. So it'll be great opportunity for us to sort of show off our students and our school um with students leading the way. >> Um at this time I'd like to welcome six of our ambassadors up that would like to address the board. Um, so if you guys want to come on up and get ready to speak, um, what's so cool about the ambassadors is that, um, when I reached out to some kids who've been pretty highly involved thus far, I said, "Hey, we're going to aboard me on December 2nd. Would you be interested in speaking?" And each person I spoke to said yes. So that it just shows what a motivated group this is to get involved, to talk, to be positive. And so I'm really thankful for them at
giving up their uh their Tuesday evening on a virtual snow day to come and speak to us. And also thank you to your parents and guardians who brought you here tonight. I really do appreciate it. So I'm introduce Rosie first. Go ahead, Rosie. >> Hello everyone. Thank you for having us here today. My name is Rosie Cheria and I am an eighth grade student. I truly appreciate this new program that Mr. Reinhardt and Mr. Wagner have created for us. Student Ambassador is an amazing opportunity for students like us to help others in extraordinary ways. As student ambassadors, we will help students feel safe and welcome at Dorsyville Middle School. Students um will feel safe in many different ways and ways that we will do this is by helping with shadowing, tours, and me much more.
I'm the student council president at DMS and I feel that these two programs have many similarities and differences. Student Ambassador also gives opportunities for students who are not part of student council to help students and help our great um our school be a great way be great. Um this program is also a great way for middle schoolers to want to help um in high school for student ambassadors. I am very grateful to be a part of student ambassador and I'm excited to watch future students take part in it too. Thank you. Hi, my name is Lillian and I'm a sixth grader at DMS. A few weeks ago, I took part in a student tour showing a fifth grader around the school because students have a different idea on the important things to show an upcoming
student than adults. Having students participate in giving tours is vital. The kids know what it feels like to be a student at the school. So, while the teachers have the information, the students have the real insights on what they think the tour should highlight. This is why I love being a part of student ambassadors because we get to show upcoming students around while giving them information about the everyday life of a student. >> Hi, my name is Gabby and I'm a sixth grader at DMS. At DMS, we have been brainstorming ways to make the cafeteria a better place. We want the lunch lines to move more efficiently and for everyone to have an appropriate amount of time to eat. A few ideas we have come up with is to have teachers dismiss kids separately and
for the team with the least amount of infractions to be dismissed first. We think this would be beneficial because less students would get hurt on the way to lunch and have more time to eat. Good evening. I'm Mila Marinero, a seventh grade student ambassador. I was asked to say a few words on why I think student perspective is important to the school. Student insight can highlight problems, issues, and even positive things that teachers may miss and offer a different perspective which will help teachers find solutions. In addition, only students can help teachers understand the need of the entire student body and to be a voice for those who are shy or afraid to speak up. In this group, we can help students feel comfortable, happy, and heard. Thank you. >> Hi, my name is Sawyer
Shear and I'm a seventh grader at Dorsyville. I'm here today to talk about my experience with the new student. The new student shadowed me for two days and at the end of those two days she was ready and confident to be at Dorsyville by herself and I think it's great for um ambassadors to show for them to get a student perspective because fellow peers perspective can be different from a teacher's perspective. >> Good evening everyone. My name is Sienna Murray and I'm a seventh grade student ambassador. I was selected to speak with you tonight about how use students use our tech school's technology. Our primary tools are schooly, powers school, and Gmail. Students use P school to monitor their grades and schooly to access classroom materials, especially when absent or completing work online. We also
use Schooly to view our classmates information when collaboration is needed. Gmail supports communication with both teachers and peers, which is especially helpful helpful if we miss class or need assistance on work. We we have these to help new students navigate their school life. Thank you. I think we'd also be remiss if we did not point out the apparel the students are wearing. We actually coordinated with the foxes down at the high school. They actually designed shirts for us. So, um, they get to be the first ones to wear them. The other students haven't gotten them yet. So, >> thanks a lot. Uh, we'll just finish up with this. Um, you know, we we've sort of been brainstorming how to get this program off the ground and I think we've, you know, based on what the
students have discussed here tonight, um, we've come up with some some unique ways to sort of get students involved. I I do want to talk about just some, you know, some future considerations and things that we're also sort of thinking about to how we continue to grow this program. Um, I think there's always a place for increased student representation. we have such a diverse uh you know pool of students that are in our district and I think that's a great opportunity for us to continue to sort of broaden um the number of students that we have involved. In addition, there's actually you know some thinking in the future of maybe having a parent ambassador program of some kind. Certainly the students talked about how it's very different to enter as a student and not sort
of always knowing what to do as a student. I think sometimes maybe there would be, you know, a place for, you know, parents to have maybe a buddy parent of some kind of maybe a PTO parent or something like that um that the parents could sort of, you know, bounce questions off of from the parent perspective. So I think that's ultimately where we're going as well. And then uh collaboration with elementary buildings certainly that step up to a new building from the first time from fifth to sixth grade is a big one. And so I think that's another area for us to continue to grow as well. And so again, I do want to thank everyone um especially the students certainly um for coming out here tonight and giving us their time. Um when you're
not offering extra credit, sometimes it's a little difficult to get students out um after hours. So I do appreciate you all very much. Mr. Reinhardt as well, Dr. Miller and everyone at the board. Thanks very much. >> And I want to thank our students, our student ambassadors. I want to thank Mr. Reinhardt, Mr. Wagner, and Dr. Miller. Uh I know that this has been a a joint effort at the middle school and although we have a few people here representing, there are a lot of people also supporting and helping out and so that's been a joy. So, thank you very much for coming and thank you also to the parents who brought the students. I know we appreciate I it's a a little bit of an extra lift and we appreciate you as well. The
only other item I have for a superintendent report is just to uh remind all of our community that we are starting our comprehensive plan process for the school district. And so please keep an eye out for announcements that will come out through our school email blasts, but also in the newspaper and other opportunities. There will be some focus groups announced and other um ways that you can get involved. We'd love to hear that feedback and it will help shape the future of our district. And so uh we look forward to that. We'll be kicking off our steering committee next week and uh more of it right after the winter holiday break. So that's all for the superintendent report. Miss >> thank you and thank you to our students and the teachers who are leading this
new group. Um Mr. Jafrey, do you have a solicitor's report? >> No report. >> Okay. Could I have a motion to approve the minutes of the regular business meeting dated November 10th, 2025? >> So moved. >> Second. >> Thank you. Any questions or comments on the minutes? >> Mrs. Anus, will you please call the role? Mrs. Cooper, >> yes. Miss Dad, >> yes. >> Miss Finley, >> yes. >> Mr. Frank, >> yes. >> Mr. Good, >> yes. >> Mr. Hamilton, >> yes. >> Dr. Hasselhorn, >> yes. >> Mrs. Lynch, >> yes. Miss Sitch. >> Yes. Motion carries. >> Thank you. It's time for our first public comment period. As a reminder, uh during the first public comment period, you can comment on the items that are on the agenda. If you have something that's not
on the agenda, you can comment uh during our second public comment period toward the end of the meeting. Do we have anyone signed up? No. Okay. All right. Old business academic committee report. Mrs. Cooper. >> Yes. Um the board academic committee met on November 11th. Um and the committee learned more about some of the secondary curriculum work including an in-depth program review and world language and the transition to the PA science technology engineering environmental literacy and sustainability or steels. It's a lot easier to say uh standards. The committee received general updates on the Spanish literature and culture class and the English as a second language program. The committee also discussed recent phone legislation. >> Thank you. Any questions or comments on the academic committee? >> When's the next meeting? >> January is >> 13th is
January 13th at 6:00. >> Yes. was the discussion about cell phone stuff um is that likely to be referred to a governance meeting or is that going to stay an academic for now? >> Uh right now we just talked about the proposed legislation in the house. I imagine once it >> or if it passes then it would be a governance to set up policy. Okay. Great. Thank you. >> Any other questions? Okay. Uh governance committee Mr. Frank. >> Thank you. The board governance committee will meet on January 6, 2026 at 6 pm. In the lower level, the district administrative offices. The agenda is currently being finalized and will include a discussion regarding the district's comprehensive plan and strategic vision. The agenda will be posted on the district's website prior to that meeting. Thank you. >>
Any questions or comments? >> Okay. And finally, projects and planning. Miss Zitch. >> Yes. The board projects and planning committee met on November 25th, 2025, shortly before the Thanksgiving break. The committee received an update on capital projects funding, the 2026 2027 budget timeline, and act one resolution recommendation, which is that we continue our tradition of passing that resolution. Um, as well as an update on facilities projects. The committee discussed advocacy for property tax assessment reform at the county level, but also at the state level. If you're interested in learning more about that, please reach out to me or other members of the committee directly. Um, the committee also requested future topics to discuss a district foundation and seeking community input um or forming a green team for environmental sustainability. Dr. Rejack shared that the district's
comprehensive plan process will collect some information about environmental sustainability among a myriad other things. So, um, that is all. >> Thank you. Any questions or comments? >> What's a district foundation? >> Oh, yeah. Great question. So, um, currently the district does not have a vehicle for receiving direct monetary contributions. A district foundation establishes a third party with a separate board, um, essentially forming a 501c3 whose mission is to support school district activities. There are a number of analogous organizations like that in our community, but many districts have established their own foundation. It was recommended that we refer that discussion um to the governance committee for consideration in the future. Um, but I'd love to resource our board with a few more connections and people who have taken this process on in their districts so that
we can kind of go in with an understanding of what that might look like. Um, and that just Yeah, I'll I'll stop it. >> Okay. >> Is that helpful? >> Yes. More context than I have. >> Yeah, sure. >> Is there a plan? I I have I actually managed to navigate my way to the materials for the projects and planning committ. I used to be on that committee and I was really interested and I found my way and I was very interested to see the updates and a lot of a lot of has been updated especially when now we have the bond funding to accelerate some of these projects. Um my question is is what point do we want to do we could bring that back to the full board to share sort of the
latest and greatest. I know at certain points things are very uncertain very in flux it's not it's more in discussion. Is there a point that would make lo logical sense to bring uh sort of the updated fivey year or threeyear plan whatever it is um and where we are on uh the gap between need and what we have financing for right now um stands. >> Yeah. So I think the answer is very soon January kicks off the budget process um although it's really underway now. The main issue with this particular moment in time is as you know we're transitioning our financial leadership in the district. Um, and so I I expect that is something that we'd like to see happen in partnership with our um our new hire um and take place early in the
new year. >> That makes a lot of sense. >> Yeah, >> great question. >> Any other questions? Okay, thank you. On to new business facilities and transportation. Mrs. Lynch, >> I will I'm moving on one item. uh additional school bus drivers for the 2025-26 school year. Ratify hiring the additional ABC Transit Incorporated drivers from the attached list effective for the 2526 school year. All required licensing clearances and other essential employment requirements for school bus operators under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania have been verified. I move on this item. >> Second. >> Thank you. Any questions or comments on this? Okay. Mrs. Anus, will you please call the RO? >> Miss Dad? >> Yes. >> Miss Finley? >> Yes. >> Mr. Frank? >> Yes. >> Mr. Good? >> Yes. >> Mr. Hamilton? >> Yes.
>> Dr. Hasselhorn? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Lynch? >> Yes. >> Miss Zitch? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Cooper? >> Yes. >> Motion carries. >> Thank you. Mr. Hamilton, could you please share the finance update? Yes. Uh we have four items tonight. Item one is the finance report for October 2025 is acknowledged and filed for audit as attached. Item two, budget transfers for 2025 2026 are approved as attached. Item three, Alagany Intermediate Unit joint purchasing program resolution 2025-10. Approve resolution 2025-10 as attached authorizing the participation of the Fox Chapel Area School District in the Alagany Intermediate Unit joint purching program through the 2026 2027 school year and authorizing the appointment of Ryan Manzer, director of finance and Daniel Breits, director of ancillary services as representatives of the district. This is a renewal of our participation. Item four,
the AMCA systems LLC ACA affordable tax track software agreement. Approve the agreement as attached between Fox Shop School District and AMCA Systems LLC for ACA tax track software effective 20 December 202nd 2025 at the cost of $3,50. This is a renewal services. I move on these four items. >> Second. Thank you. Any questions or comments? >> I have a question about that the tax track software. Is that the somewhat recent one that we moved over and we had to do the training and all the burrows and townships? >> No, this is uh this this is software that we have used for a number of years that helps to track the affordable care act requirements that we have as a district. So, it's not exactly the same thing. It's a similar name, but it's not the
same thing. >> Oh, I see. Now, it's Yeah, it's >> great. Any other questions? Mrs. Anusley, please call the role. >> Miss Finley, >> yes. >> Mr. Frank, >> yes. >> Mr. Good, >> yes. >> Mr. Hamilton, >> yes. >> Dr. Hasselhorn, >> yes. >> Mrs. Lynch, >> yes. >> Miss Zitch, >> yes. >> Mrs. Cooper, >> yes. >> Ms. Dad, >> yes. >> Motion carries. >> Thank you. Mrs. Cooper, could you read the instruction update? >> Yes. I'll only be moving on two items. The first one is to approve the service agreement as attached between the district and Goldfinch Learning Services LLC for staff professional development classroom planning observation and direct consultation services effective December 3rd 25 through June 30th 2026. This is a new service. The second is to approve the stipulated adjudications
as presented. >> Thank you. >> I moved on those two. >> Second. Thank you. >> Thank you. Any questions or comments? >> Was hoping you could tell us a bit more about this new service agreement. Sure. This is a service agreement just to provide provide some professional learning for some of our special education educators who will be supporting a student specific need. So, uh it's for a very specific need and this seemed to be a recommended um consultant who works through this service. Any other questions? >> Mrs. Anusk, will you please call the RO? >> Mr. Frank, >> yes. >> Mr. Good. >> Yes. >> Mr. Hamilton, >> yes. >> Dr. Hasselhorn, >> yes. >> Mrs. Lynch, >> yes. >> Miss Zitch, >> yes. >> Mrs. Cooper, >> yes. >> Miss Dad, >> yes. >>
Miss Finley, >> yes. >> Motion carries. >> Thank you. Mr. Frank, could you please read the legislation and policy items? I will move uh number one policies revised for the second reading in the adoption uh 006 meetings number 102 academic standards number 105 curriculum number 122 extracurricular activities number 123 intercolastic athletics number 918 title one parent and family engagement I would also move to approve the first reading of the following Following revised policies as attached. Number 100, comprehensive planning. Number 101, vision, mission statement, beliefs, shared v shared values. Number 143, standards of persistently dangerous schools. Number 309, assignment and transfer. Number 312, performance assessment of superintendent deputy superintendent. Number 316, non-tenured employees. Number 335, family and medical leaves. Number 338.1, compensated professional leaves. Number 706.1, disposal of surplus property and obsolete equipment. Number 718, service
animals in schools. Number 9007, school visitors. Number 911, news media relations. And number 913.1, small games of chance. I would move both of those items. >> Second. >> Thank you. Any questions or comments on the policies? >> I'd just like to commend the revisions to 911 the news media relations that seem to broadly improve what they seem to broadly improve the privacy of >> I'm laughing because we talked about this policy at three different meetings. >> Oh, really? >> Yes. >> Is there anything I should know? I do know that we've kept working. Um, >> it's a delightful policy revision. I'm glad you like it. >> I do. I will just say for people like me who are very concerned about digital privacy and the like our child's likeness on the internet. Like this is
a very reassuring policy and it's something that you shall be commended for. >> Thanks for all the work. Yeah, >> we uh did a lot of working on the language. Yes, it looks great. >> I'm glad you like it. >> I see that we're in the 900s. doesn't mean we're nearly done with policy revisions after three four years of >> we are >> that's that's something to be celebrated as well. We've put a lot of time into the revision process as I remember when we started this process a lot of them hadn't been re reviewed since 2010 >> um that was kind of the most common date anyways uh and uh so congratulations to everybody who >> do we have a formal cycle in place >> we have completed all >> start again And so
we are discussing to go over those to go over through the through the policies again to see if there have been changes since we began >> um since we've had a whole lot of >> um legislation >> their recommendations and so when PSBA sends their recommendations for revisions we do those but then the others >> are there other triggers for revisions is one of the questions I would have is like is there anything else that triggers a not a revision but a reconsideration of a polic policy, >> changes in the law, of course, >> state legislative action. Sure. >> Court cases, laws, legislation, etc. >> Yeah. PSBA normally sends those things to us, I think. >> Yes, they do. >> So, we'll always do those. We're uh in fact, Dr. Rejack >> and I have
talked about uh talking to the committee about what what direction we should go in now. Should we start back at the beginning? Should we look at doing some other types of governance things? >> Um, so that might be coming to the board as well. >> Is there a mechanism in the comprehensive plan activities that might flag policy changes to the attention of the board? >> There certainly could be. There's not going to be something that asks about specific policies. That's not really what we're looking at in this. However, there could be areas that >> uh emerge that we want to ask deeper questions of a smaller group. So, yeah, we'll wait and see what we we hear. Great. >> I just had a couple of comments. Um I think this first is this is a
great example of the committee process working well um through you know there was a lot of behind the-scenes work that didn't occupy the full board's time and discussion and is presented in a a favorable way that u aligned well with with sounds like it aligns well with with the full board. So that's great. Um, and second, I think part of some of the other uh possible uh activities the governance board could en engage in is um possibly becoming more involved with the PSBA platform process. That's something that has always been available. Um I we had a we had a couple of discussions very brief email I think about that. So that's that's another option as well. So, um, >> that would certainly be something our new business our our new PSBA rep could could help.
>> I have a lot of interest in informing that policy and platform. >> Yeah. So, we do have the legislative representative, but we also have the delegate um >> That's right. >> the delegates. Uh, and I've been a delegate in >> May. >> Yeah. Y >> and so that actually um I won't go into it here that in in a lot of detail but PSBA has a a platform which they then uh use to target their um activities toward the legislature and they have a process by which boards can uh propose amendments which get developed over uh I believe there I think that starts in I want to say March uh and gets developed over time and then is um voted on at the um at the delegate assembly which was just a few months
ago or a month or so or so ago. Um so that's that's another option um which you know if anyone is interested uh I'm happy to talk about from my perspective of seeing that process but um yeah so just to answer the question of what else could be done I think that was discussed. >> Yeah great thank you. Okay. Any other comments or questions about policies? Okay. Mrs. Anusk, will you please call the role? >> Mr. Good. >> Yes. >> Mr. Hamilton, >> yes. >> Dr. Hasselorn, >> yes. >> Mrs. Lynch, >> yes. >> Miss Zitch, >> yes. >> Mrs. Cooper, >> yes. >> Miss Dad, >> yes. >> Miss Finley, >> yes. >> Mr. Frank, >> yes. >> Motion carries. >> Thank you. Miss Zitch, could you please read us the personnel items? >>
Yes, I have a short list of just three items tonight. So, item one, resignation, supplemental contracts athletic. The resignation of Keith Denino, um, swimming high school second assistant due to personal reasons. The resignation of Shay McAffrey, field hockey, middle school head, due to personal reasons. The resignation of Thomas Mule, cross country high school head, due to personal reasons. Excuse me. Um, supplemental contracts, non-athletic. The resignation of Rachel Macken, student government O'Hara sponsor leave replacement due to personal reasons. The resignation of Deborah Polysac Polish, I'm sorry, English high school department head due to personal reasons. Item two, appointment supplemental contracts athletic. Claire Dusk, volleyball boys middle school assistant. Mark Jones, track high school fourth assistant. Win Kchner, swimming high school second assistant. Brendan Erso, basketball boys middle school assistant. Um, for supplemental contracts non-athletic. The following
non-athletic supplemental contracts, uh, Sydney Snyder, student government O'Hara sponsor. Item three, volunteers, athletic. The following athletic volunteers are ratified. James Balone, uh, baseball high school, Anthony DeMarco, Flag Football High School. Josh Deaswell, United Boti or Unified Botchi, excuse me, High School. Um, and those are my items. I move on these three items. >> Second. >> Thank you. Any questions or comments on these items? >> I actually did have a question. Is there a reason why swimming isn't a gendered a gendered sport by our appointment? >> I'm sorry, I didn't hear your question. >> All of our other sports are gendered. So, volleyball, boys, um track. Well, I guess track isn't, but I was curious why swimming isn't um gendered teams. >> Uh they they actually are gendered teams in the in their competition, but not
in their practice. So, they all come together for practice, have one coaching staff. >> Okay. So, that's what determines that designation is. >> Same with the track team. It's it's one coaching staff for the track team. Although uh the students compete based on on their gender. >> Right. Perfect. Thank you. >> Any other questions? >> Mrs. Anus, will you please call the role? >> Mr. Hamilton, >> yes. >> Dr. Hasselhorn, >> yes. >> Mrs. Lynch, >> yes. >> Miss Sitch, >> yes. >> Mrs. Cooper, >> yes. >> Miss Dad, >> yes. >> Miss Finley, >> yes. >> Mr. Frank, >> yes. >> Mr. Good, >> yes. >> Motion carries. >> Thank you. Mr. Good. Could you please read the operations and cooperative services items? >> Yes. I have one item. Uh uh accept the uh
donation of a Cordoba Dolce classical acoustic guitar from an anonymous donor for Hartwood Elementary School. I move on that item. >> Second. >> Thank you. Any questions or comments? Thank you to our anonymous donor. I feel like that's this is the third month in a row we've had musical instruments donated and that just makes me so thrilled to see the community supporting the music programs. This is expensive stuff. >> It's great. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Mrs. Anus, will you please call the role? >> Dr. Hasselorn. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Lynch, >> yes. >> Miss, >> yes. >> Mrs. Cooper, >> yes. >> Miss Dad, >> yes. >> Miss Finley, >> yes. >> Mr. Frank, >> yes. >> Mr. Good, >> yes. >> Mr. Hamilton, >> yes. Motion carries. Thank you. It's time for our
second public comment period. We do have two people signed up. Uh you will have three minutes to speak. Mr. Frank will be timing you and he will let you know when you have one minute left. Um so go ahead. We have Rock and Marsha Ferrron. >> Good evening. Um I'm gonna stand a little bit away from the microphone. I I've been known to talk a lot, so I don't want to blow you guys away. And I see Mr. Frank, our wrestling coach. You know, he's here just in case I get out of hand. I'm a stand. My name is Rock Ferrron. Uh I'm a product of Fox Chapel Area School District. I attended Carter School, Dorisville School, and Fox Chapel School. Almost got through Fox Chapel. Missed a few too many days. And Vice President
Brindle called me in and said, "You missed too many days, you can't pass." Um he said something to me that day that stuck with me throughout my career still today is uh school isn't for everybody and I will deny it if you repeat it. So if you ask him they'll probably deny it. Uh he says go do you know I understand you're in your own business. Go do you know whatever you're doing and maybe come back next year uh for a second chance. I went on actually that was Vice President Gindle. Ultimately the principal Joe Cile actually came to work for me later. Uh so I actually had the principal working for me. I developed a lot of products. Uh I have 24 US patents. Um I uh developed the airport, Rock Airport here north
near Pittsburgh Mills. Uh we instituted about uh 22.5 million dollars in that project. Uh we worked with the schools. I had a friend that's an astronaut. It's been on four shuttle missions. We brought uh field trips in for the schools and uh we did a lot of cool things. We bought brought the C130s uh from the Air National Guard. We took them up to Canada, took some Boy Scouts up to Canada and flew around. We were flying high. Um we're doing a lot of things. Traveled with Governor Schwer to Arizona. uh worked with Governor Ridge, worked with Governor Schweer, obviously worked with Governor Randell, and was even asked to go to New Jersey by the governor to talk about economic development in New Jersey, which is kind of cool because I got to land at
Meguire Air Force Base with my own plane. Um, and thank you. Um, at any rate, uh, what happened after that, I got I'm going to try to speed this up, is we landed accidentally on a massive public corruption case. That public corruption case included $54 million of the countyy's pension fund being moved offshore and being coins being purchased. The person that was involved got 12 years in federal prison. I exposed it. The county came after me and the county used the Fox Chapel School District along with the county along with your solicitor uh to basically persecute. We're in litigation right now. I sued your solicitor. The judge um as me to include Fox Shop School. You guys weren't originally in the lawsuit. You currently are and um as Dr. Willjack knows she's under subpoena for
tomorrow for a deposition. Um we did not want Fox Chapel in uh unfortunately I made a decision to do the right thing to expose corruption and uh I did and it cost me a lot and that's why we're currently in litigation. I got a lot more information I can share with you folks and I think it would pay to investigate and uh I'm going to let my wife >> Maria. Okay. >> My name is Marcia Ferrron. Uh my children went to school at Fox Shelf area school district. I'm an educator myself. I was school teacher in the Pittsburgh public schools. I worked hand in hand in partnership with many teachers and professionals in all the school Hartwood Dorseyville and the high school and anyone that you would know who worked with me would know that
I was working handinand with them and even behind the scenes I was working with parents who for some reason felt that the school and the educators were against them and their children specifically parents who had children on the spectrum as I did uh parents with students with special needs and and they felt the need to fight the teachers and I really work behind the scenes to get parents to work with their team. The teachers are a part of our team to help educate our students. That's a side note. Brock didn't have an opportunity to tell you the whole truth. The bottom line is this. He he brought opened up the lid on corruption and as a result, my family was a target. In fact, one of my attorneys was told that if he continued to
represent us, his six-month old child would be found dead next to him in his bed. At that same time that I was working with the teachers in these schools, pretending everything was fine. Everything wasn't fine. I was afraid. I actually had to go in and speak privately with the administrators to say, "No one is to come near my students. My my children are never to have their pictures taken and put into any of the publications." There was a lot happening that had me so that my were not allowed to stand next to the windows in my home. We had attorneys whose uh black nuts were taken out of their tires. There was so there's so much that happened, you have no idea. So, what I'm trying to say to you is when you hear this
say tax case, it's really and truly not a tax case. We in fact paid over and above the taxes that were actually due and we were still our home was put up for um sheriff sale. Okay. while I had children at home, not really sure what I was going to do. What I'd like to say is I'd like to make my number available to all of you. You would like to know the truth behind what's happening before you're making decisions. I would like you to be able to make an educated decision so that you understand attorneys will continue to make this go on because they get paid. For example, Dicky Mckame who was highly involved in us losing our project that talked about the airport. They were the ones who uh worked with that took
over our project that our blood, sweat, and tears went into. Now, they're working for the school district. Um, it's really important that all of you know this is not a situation where we didn't pay our taxes. It has nothing to do with that. It has to do with corruption. I believe that Fox Chop school district is being used as a bank and as a puppet and you're being brought into a corruption case that you really should be brought into. All these students here today that are making phenomenal progress, that's where the focus should be. on the students, not on corruption. You should not have been drugged into this. We didn't want you into this and unfortunately we were forced to um include you in the lawsuit. I would like to if anyone wants our numbers,
you can definitely get those. >> Thank you. Fox Chapel Educators Association, Mrs. Mackin. Good evening. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. I want to congratulate you on your uh reelection to the school board this evening. Uh Miss Cooper, Mr. Good, Dr. Hustelorn and Miss Sitch. Uh on behalf of the Fox Chapel Educators Association, it has been a pleasure working with all of you and I am sure that we will continue to work well together uh over the next few years. And uh I know uh tonight can be a rough night. I'm not going to lie to you. Typically the schoolboard meetings are not uh usually the most exciting uh event that takes place in my week. But I do enjoy uh a meeting when we get to see the success of our
students and also showcase what's going on in our buildings. As Mr. Frank said before, we recognize our student athletes. It is amazing to see uh what students in our buildings are able to accomplish and it's also amazing to see the new opportunities uh and just how far even Dorseyville has come in through and seeing young teachers coming in with new ideas and giving our students an opportunity to grow as leaders before they even transition to the high school. Uh I'm excited to see new things happening across all of our buildings. Uh and it's exciting to see uh as we begin to and it's hard to believe that we're already at the end of this year and thinking of you know the vision of the district moving forward and so we are excited looking forward. It's
hard to believe it will be 2026 soon. So thank you all for your commitment to the students in our district. >> Thank you. >> Okay. Board comments. Mrs. Cooper. >> Sure. Um it's it's almost the end of 2025. Very hard to believe. Um I look forward to serving with you guys um for another term. Uh a lot of us have been here for a while. I guess I'm going into my sixth year technically. Um so I look forward to continue um advocating for specific things. Thank you for entrusting me with the baby board. Um, and hopefully good things ahead and thank you to the teachers and I hope they have a great winter and uh this was just a fluke and no more snow. >> Great. >> Thank you, Miss Zitch. Um, yes, congratulations to
our student athletes. Um, thank you, Mr. Frank, for saying that before they left. I think that's a bit of foresight that we should take into a tradition. Um, so that's wonderful. Um, I I too am really looking forward to serving with you all um for another four years. This is work that I am incredibly grateful to participate in. Um I also know that many school boards in our region now have new colleagues who are coming into the four. I recommend that you reach out to them. Um provide mentorship, get inspiration and exchange. I think this is a community of communities where we can really make an impact um uh at even at the state level with advocacy by working together. So um with that um I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving >> and had
a wonderful holiday. Hey, are we not going to see each other until the new year? No. My goodness. Have a wonderful holiday, everyone. Yeah. Happy New Year. >> Thank you, Mr. Good. >> I'm grateful for the chance to continue to work with all of you and with the administration. Um it's been uh a wonderful experience. Uh I've seen this board mature uh since I was appointed in 2019. Uh I feel like we are we are uh hitting a stride here working together well uh serving the children serving our district uh and it's great to see ongoing continuity and uh good governance coming from us. So I appreciate all of that and I appreciate as always seeing our students um congre uh congratulating them honoring them in for their hard work. >> Thank you Mr. Hamilton.
>> No comment. >> Thank you, Dr. Hasselorn. >> I too am grateful for the the trust the community's um placed on me to continue serving on the school board. It it doesn't go unnoticed. Um and also thank you to all of the faculty out there and parents and siblings, everyone today who just had to practice their patience and flexibility. Um these these snow days are are always fun and exciting, especially after a long weekend with your family. >> Yeah. Um but uh but I think it's it's the right way to proceed. I know we always hear feedback after the fact about everyone's thoughts and feelings about doing snow day versus, you know, virtual learning. Um I think I think we're doing the right thing. It's just a good lesson in patience for everyone. Thank you,
Mrs. Lynch. >> Um, I just wanted to say thank you to Miss Finley for her service on the baby board. I know that she has diligently participated with them and very much appreciate the work that she has done there. So, wanted to make sure to um to say that. >> Thank you, Miss Finland. >> I hope everyone has a happy holidays. I look forward to the development of the new program in the middle school because a lot of kids get lost in those first two years and the third year is can be very destructive. Um, so I really appreciate the effort the new teachers are putting into a program that helps all of our kids, some of which come from schools that are 300 or less, to find their footing and be able to move
forward in a beneficial way. Um it is the time of the season where things are getting harder. So please Fox family cares the food they can slide it in the locker if parents need something. There's also something in O'Hara where they open the Fox closet so kids can get clothing and shop there if they need it. Please be aware of everything that is available through this district and please don't be shy about asking for help. we we go a long way to try to make all our kids achieve. Thank you. >> Thank you, Mr. Frank. >> I I excuse me, I echo Vanessa's comments about thanking uh Katie for her service on the on the Batty board for the last four or five years. Uh and um today, virtual day was a day we don't
have to make up in the middle of June. Uh that's that's an important point for anybody who would complain about today. Uh and also on your table there is uh or in front of you there is an invitation for uh a meeting at Batty. Uh you don't have to stay for the meeting but the dinner and your orves will be prepared by the students and and the staff members there. So uh I hope you would you could join us on December 18th with orurves at 5 and dinner at 5:30. Thank you. >> Thank you. I also want to thank Miss Finley for her service on the baby board. Um, it is very appreciated and um, congratulations to all of our athletes and I hope everyone has a nice and safe holiday season. Could I have
a motion to adjurnn? >> So moved. >> Second. >> All in favor? >> Meeting adjourn. Do you sing?
